Avatar f tn Hi. I am having laparoscopic hysterectomy with ovary removel.(Brca gene) I have a one year old baby. I was told I can't pick up anything over 10pounds. No yoga or anything either . For 4 weeeks. Wow is this really true?? Is there a procedure with better post op recovery?
Avatar f tn I had a total hysterectomy April of 2016. I was diagnosed with a rapidly growing complex cyst and scheduled for surgery on Feb. 17th. The cyst had destroyed my ovary completely so the surgeon removed the ovary also. I now only have my left ovary which he said he cauterized a few endometrial spots on. The left ovary had a mass removed from it 16 years ago. I do not take medications so I hurt as expected but today (3 days post op) I have started experiencing some sweats/hot flashes.
Avatar f tn I had a total hysterectomy in January of 2008 because I had endometriosis everywhere. Since that time I still feel as though I have the same pain from the endometriosis as prior to the surgery. Also I have some bleeding after sex. Is the bleeding something I should be concerned about? Can endometriosis spread to other organs in your body? I guess I'm not as educated on this as I should be. If anyone knows please contact me. Thanks for your help.
Avatar f tn so im trying to find out some info on this..ill pass any info along that might balance our levels..im going to the health food store to find out.
Avatar n tn I had a complete hysterectomy last Nov. I am on hormones but, my problem is I can't achieve an orgasm I don't know what to do. I don't know if it's mental or if my hormones are messed up.I also have a problem getting aroused. It feels like I am going crazy.
398893 tn?1201315707 I had a hysterectomy done in 2004 because of Endometriosis and they left one ovary in and I was wanting to know, Is it possible that the endometriosis could come back into my one ovary? I still have severe stomach and plevis pain at times with some Sharp shooting pains in the Pelvic area....Anyone have any info that might help me? Please.......
Avatar f tn info/ and read accurate info on endometriosis...since my hysterectomy and ovaries removed 11 years ago I have had my pelvic organs glue together 2 more times and have to be surgically cut apart and endo excised...so don't let your Dr. dismiss you...get copies of your medical records and see a specialist...most will review your records for free...the way it was explained to me...until all the endo is excised (cut out) it's much like when you have a piece of sand in your eye...
Avatar m tn I am a female age 44yrs. and I had a hysterectomy in Nov 2010. An associate said that due to the lack of certain hormones present after a hysterectomy it may hinder or slow the process of healing of broken/fractured bones. Is this true?
Avatar n tn Does anyone happen to know if there has been a connection with too much estrogen causing more neuropathy pain?? Anyone experience the onset of neuropathy after a hysterectomy? I would appreciate any info.
1054665 tn?1305508455 did my hysterectomy take my pcos away. Have read where it didn't, but am looking for more info on this matter. I had gastric bypass on 07 went from 320 - 180 and then have regained to 245. Could this gain be partly due to pcos, even after hysterectomy?
Avatar f tn I would have a detailed converstion with your doctor. I too am a runner. But I just had a normal redical hysterectomy and I was able to return to running. I would say it may take you alot longer to heal, but I am not a 100% sure you will not ever be able to run again.
Avatar f tn I have recently found out that I am getting a complete hysterectomy (removal of my cervix, uterus and ovaries). It is being done with robot assisted laparoscopic hysterectomy. I am only 35 yr old and a little bit concerned with menopause and the hormone replacement therapy. I am just wondering what other women have experienced with having a complete hysterectomy and the symptoms of menopause.
Avatar n tn by definition a hysterectomy is the surgical removal of the uterus with or without the cervix, a seperate operation is called a bilater salphigo Ooperectomy which is the removal of the fallopian tubes and ovaries, they are sometimes removed during a hysterectomy but not technically a part of a hysterectomy. Hyster means uterus in medicial terms.
Avatar m tn the OB gyne MD gave me 2 options, either a polypectomy or hysterectomy. as much as possible i would like to avoid a hysterectomy because of the post effects. I am also concerned with the polyps coming back as I age. Still not decided whether to have I would appreciate any feedbacks regarding this matter. thanks!
Avatar f tn I had a total hysterectomy 12 days ago and am still "dripping" vaginally. How long will this go on??
Avatar f tn I am still in pain, during intercourse, as well as everyday cramping, and lower back pain. I talked to doctor and she suggested an abdominal hysterectomy. Should I do this? Will it really help?? I have tried lupron, and had two laprascopies with removal of adhesions as well as countless chocolate cysts. Was told by fertility specialist after last lap that tubes are completly blocked as well as being tangled with my bowels.
Avatar f tn i am 51 in menopause and have a huge family history with cancer, The dr recently found a tumor in my ovary and recommended taking both out.... any thoughts on also having a hysterectomy at the same time?
Avatar f tn Thanks for the info. I guess i knew it wasn't normal but i was hoping to be wrong as i have no insurance and can not afford a Dr.
Avatar n tn Do you still need to have a Pap if you've had a total hysterectomy? No uterus or ovaries..
Avatar n tn I had a partial hysterectomy about 5 weeks ago (cancer was found, a small amount, they took the uterus and cervix). I have two questions: 1. Recently I have noticed I can "feel" my vagina, meaning, I notice the inside of my vagina, as though it's dry or slightly swollen. It's not really painful, just noticable in a way I've never experienced before. Is this normal? 2. My partner and I have not had sex since before the surgery.
Avatar f tn Hi Gayleen, I am going to suggest you consider it is time for a change in the dosage of your patch. I am hoping you are on a Bioidentical patch... all of the info I am about to share is info regarding this type of estrogen patch. I don't know much about the synthetic patches and from what I have read, you will not get the same type of relief since there are "issues" with the synthetics... dose often not high enough...
Avatar m tn I am searching for info on the CA125...written in 'English' please! I'm trying to find out ranges and just how much I should be worried. I have a 7cm tumor on/in an ovary. Ultrasound and CT show it appears solid. I have all the digestive, lack of energy, pain symptoms of ovarian cancer. The CA 125 came back at 220. I have seen an oncologist and am scheduled for surgery in 3 weeks. My dr thinks we should do a complete hysterectomy.
