hysterectomy

Avatar f tn Just thought I would let you all know for future reference if there are any sufferers in NZ, that I saw Dr Andrew Law yesterday, and found him to be excellent in every way. He has a good understanding of Chiari, Syrinx, Spina Bifida, amongst other things and was very helpful to me. He's very experienced (I did some homework!) and a really down to earth guy who takes a patient seriously.
5727805 tn?1378193052 Or do you see the doctor? She is An Australian permanent resident. Here in NZ is it simple, you just contact a midwife and go from there. Is it that simple in Australia?
648439 tn?1225058862 I was shocked but I thought that perhaps in NZ is is not offered in treatment probably because of cost. I am talking govt funded treatment, not private. Does any NZ-er know anything about this - anyone being treated with Procrit or similar here.
Avatar f tn I'm from NZ but not in Auckland. .
Avatar n tn over the past year or two for help/support groups in NZ, but have found nothing. The only one that I did find had links back to the USA, helpful, but I had seen it all before and was after something a bit closer to home :) I have today, just started up a new facebook group (closed) for NZ Chiari people in the hopes that someone from NZ (other than me) would join lol.
Avatar m tn Over the last 3-4 weeks I have developed slight persistant numbness/weakness in my left pinky and half of my left ring finger nearest the pinky, this is constant and also sporadic numbness/weakness in my feet (usually the top of the foot) and right hand during sleep. This tends to wake up, I can then 'shake out' this numbness/weakness and go back to sleep but not after lying there for a while wondering what is going on. I have been on a round the world trip for the last 9 months.
Avatar f tn Last year I had a hysterectomy and I woke up in ICU after I had gone into sustained vt during my operation. For a few months I was going into sustained vt quite a few times and was in and out of hospital like ayoyo. I had an ablation and it didn't work as the spot they needed to get was to deep. They want to do another but it through an artery instead of vein with twice the risk and only a 50% chance in working. I have been unconscious quite a few times when I have gone into vt.

Avatar m tn He lives on the Gold Coast, Australia, Im in NZ and want to know what to suggest. He will try get a doctors apt but its kinda urgent and being a new NZ person working in Aust, it may cost him hundreds of $ to even see a doctor…can he get a treatment over the counter in Aust?
Avatar n tn Hi... I had a protected sex with a girl in Massage Parlour in NZ. Here in NZ, parlours offer safe sex. So we have protected varginal sex for about 5 min. There was no kissing at all with the girl. Then I left the place. After that I have been fearing to get some STD's like HIV, Chlamydia etc from that single encounter. Please help me regarding this. . . . I am quite worried these days . . .
572651 tn?1530999357 To those in NZ, I have been thinking about you since I heard of the earthquake. I am praying that you are all safe, have shelter and food. Hang on, we are here for you!
4460811 tn?1355471314 ) there are a couple obf other but I think a few more aussies :)
Avatar n tn Thanks Sandra, I found out only I can see the photo(sorry). I recalled that the NZ doctor mentioned about the possible infection caused it, but didn't use term toxoplasmosis. She was born in NZ but when we travelled to the Philippines we went to see another specilaist there. She also said that nothing can be done. Is it because my daughter's case is not macular pucker? If her eye turns off badly later on, can she have other type of surgery to make eye straight?
Avatar f tn My granddaughter (10) has just been diagnosed with SVT. (No treatment as yet). She was due to fly to the UK from NZ for Xmas to stay with her Dad. Her Mum NZ resident now says she can't fly. Is SVT a bar to flying in children? Other than these two episodes she is well and no other known underlying medical conditions. She would be flying with me and I am a registered nurse.
Avatar m tn Thanks Doc I appreciate your reassuring information. I am unsure if the NZ tests are duo's as such and many NZ medical professionals seem to think you need to wait 4 weeks but I rang a lab pathologist and he said the blood tests do have a p24 antigen component. 1. Do you know what tests NZ uses? 2. I am concerned because I had a stomach illness starting two days before I had the test, until a couple of days after. If this was ARS, would the antigen, or the antibody tests show positive??
Avatar f tn Just wanted to express my sympathy to our NZ friends after the second blast at Pike River Mine today, which ended any hope of finding the trapped 29 miners alive. My heart goes out to you guys.....
Avatar m tn Yes, it looks no detail can be found regarding this compounds mode of action. In the protocol of the NZ Committee it only mentions "it inhibits the formation of viral components".
Avatar n tn Doctors here in NZ dish out tramadol like lollies 'instead' of opiates. Reading the posts here I am shocked to see it's just as nasty as coming off opiates...if not worse! I wonder when NZ will realise this...?
648439 tn?1225058862 I treated with 1200 Riba daily and 180 mg interferon weekly with Pegasus. I was cured with this short treatment. I live in NZ and the doctors here allow patients to stop if they fulfill the strictest criteria for stopping early. It worked for me, so good luck to those of you who are considering the same option.
Avatar f tn t find anywhere in the country to supply it. Is there anyone out there in NZ who knows where to get this stuff and is it worth it?
Avatar f tn ^^^ I live in nz and my doctor gave me tonnes of options for morning sickness, although I sufferd from hypermesis gravidarum.
Avatar f tn Hi I'm in nz :) I think they slow down movement around then cause they're running out of room!
Avatar n tn I am in my late thirties and my son was 3 years old at the time of my diagnosis. I live in NZ and during my darkest days of my terminal prognosis there was no ovarian cancer foundation in NZ. Since then one has been formed called the Silver Ribbon Foundation for Gyneacological Cancer and I am currently the volunteer Marketing Mgr as I have beat the odds and I am in remission.
