1896954 tn?1323468296 If you got a hysterectomy and the hysterectomy took the tissue out that contained the HPV, it is gone. Not in your bloodstream. Same thing for people who had it in their tonsil tissue and got it removed. It's gone. Until they get the next strain from the next contact. This is as far as I know.
Avatar n tn Pain has gone away 2 times which happened when I bled heavy only for about 10 min. Have seen every Doctor, am going to get hysterectomy in a week. Such horrible pain. Please help if anyone has had this. No appetite either. Thank you...
Avatar f tn I HAD HYSTERECTOMY THREE WEKS AGO, I JUST HAD INTERCOURSE WITH MY HUSBAND EVEN THOU HE WAS REAL CAREFUL, AFTER HE CAME IN ME I FELT LIKE I WAS SWOLLEN AND IN PAIN, IS THIS NORMAL, CAUSE THE DR SAID NO SEX FOR 8 WEEKS AND WE ONLY EAITED 4, QUESTION CAN THER BE A FATAL COMPLICATIONS AFTER THIS.
Avatar m tn I was under the impression that if you had a hysterectomy that you did not have your uterus. When I had my hysterectomy done, the dr took the works. I'm talking about everything, the fallopian tubes, ovaries, cervix, uterus. Not that I miss any of them. I don't have periods, which means no pms! WooHoo!
Avatar n tn My girlfriend and I have been together for 2 1/2 years. Our first sexual encounter was at home after a few drinks and dancing and after 3 months of her trying to get real close to me. She had broken up with a cheating husband of 3 years and I gave her an adjacent apartment to me in a house that I own to live. She was very up front the next day about her never having no girl on girl, or multiple sex partners at the same time and never cheating and being a loyal, one man girl.
Avatar m tn I had a hysterectomy at age 45 due to a benign tumor on my left ovary as well and fibroids. This was done in October 2011. The surgery did provide pain relief from the painful periods, and constant fibroids, but 9 days after my surgery I started with a major depression that has not gone away. After having my bloodwork taken, my thyroid was hypo active and that was corrected.
Avatar f tn I felt not too bad for the first two or three months after my hysterectomy (had the works, uterus plus ovaries plus cervix removed). I was 48 and was pre or peri menopausal. Your natural hormones take a while to leave your system. Surgical menopause IS rough. But, I have read many posts from women on this board who had already been through menopause and STILL suffered with symptoms such as memory fog, dryness, general malaise, depression, etc.
Avatar f tn I also had endometriosis and scar tissue which was attacted to my bladder and had my ovaries attachted to my uterus. I only had a hysterectomy not a full hysterectomy. The doctor removed all the endo on my ovaries and left them. After the surgery I asked him if that was it or if I would get them back and he said that I could get the endo back in 5 years because the ovaries is what produces them.
Avatar n tn I am about to turn 51,I had a full hysterectomy about 18 yrs ago and I'm going through something, just not sure what it is.I have never taken hormones.I'm having night sweats really bad, crazy weird nightmares causing bad headaches but I have a drama free, stress free life.I normally don't dream.I'm just feeling very strange.Someone please help if you think this might be what it is.
Avatar f tn Sometimes I wish I had everything removed then I may not have gone through all of this for so many years but with hysterectomy brings on other problems that I'm not sure I'm ready to handle. it's so difficult to decide what's the right choice; right now I'm contemplating my decision since I'm having a horrible month...
Avatar f tn Can you still have menopause 7 years after Hysterectomy. I have a list of symptoms as long as my arm, the main ones being really bad fatigue, vaginal dryness/itching, aching joints, mood swings, sudden tears, hot sweats, headaches, and no energy to name a few - I feel like i´m going mad. I did not really have any symptoms after my operation but as the years have gone on there is definately something happening and it´not nice. Any advice would be appreciated.
Avatar m tn t touch each other the trust has gone I believe the surgeon never gave her any options and the hysterectomy was totaly unnecessar y.
225036 tn?1294509400 Hi Kasie. So good to have you back but not under the current circumstances. I totally understand your reluctance to take the Lupron. I'm so tired of doctors giving me drugs that just make me sick with something else. If they do another surgery will it be a hysterectomy? I have really bad scar tissue too and they couldn't give me the hysterectomy I wanted with my cyst surgery because all the organs are glued together. I do hope that isn't an issue for you.
1657041 tn?1302268514 Jen, have you gone to your doctor? I had a hysterectomy in 2008 -Ovaries left in tact. About 13 months ago I started having horrible cramping and pain that brought me to the emergency room. They took a CT and said everything was "fine". A month later I was at urgent care again and they found a "small cyst in my left ovary".
Avatar f tn I was 23 when the doctor told me i had to have a hysterectomy at the time i was ok with it because I have 2 beautiful children and didn't think i wanted anymore. He said he was only doing a partial and i would still have my ovaries should i ever change my mind and want to have more children. Since then I divorce my husband and got remarried. My new husband has no children of his own and just finished fighting cancer and we want another child. I have read about women getting preg.
Avatar f tn My wife had a hysterectomy in september. She retained her ovaries, but since has chronic pains like those she suffered on her period. However since then as well she has said that she has had time to think, and that she doesnt love me anymore. She has told me that we didnt deal with marital issues from years back properly, and that i was never there emotionally... i cannot disagree as im usualy emotionally retarded... but i had thought they were dealt with.
Avatar n tn I am 35, and am considering hysterectomy for AUB. As far as I know there is no reason to remove my ovaries and since I probably have 15 years until menopause I can use the hormones. I was wondering if because of still having the ovaries which leads to the menstrual cycle does one still experience PMS? By PMS I mean the moodiness, bloating, constipation etc?
Avatar f tn any suggestions from ppl that may have gone through this would be appreciated? The doctor told me that the side effects from hysterectomy are not that bad as long as they leave the ovaries. I am in a little bit of a panic and not sure what route would be best.
