Help!!! I have history of many prior abdominal surgeries, and then a hyst, and now I am told I have adhesions due to many pelvic surgeries. History of PCOD BAD! Endometriosis, hysterectomy in 05'. Now my stomach feels like it is on fire, I have to burp and pass gas alot. Could adhesions be causing this? What could this be? I don't know if a surgeon or any dr will treat me, as I dont have any insurance, and dont have SSI or Medicaid yet. Can these adhesions be life threatening?

Do adhesions from a Hysterectomy get worse or cause future complications if not surgically corrected or is it just to help the pain? Should this be performed by a surgeon or the GYN doctor who performed the Hysterectomy? Thank you!
would like to know if anyone out there has had any complications with the monarc sling/transvaginal mesh surgery? i am 56 yrs old, healthy, never had surgery til i had a hysterectomy followed by a bladder suspesion surgery last aug....did not have any leaking from bladder...all possible test were run...everything was fine...had prolapse uterus/bladder. the surgery went well & 8 wks/plus recoop went well...followed both the gynecologist & urologist order to a T....
i was hospitalized the next day for complications from hernia surgery. since then i have had problems and now im bleeding vaginally which i shouldnt be considering i dont have a period from a hysterectomy. i told my doctor and she said it was from irritation where my ovary was removed but the bleeding went from spotting to a light period. what should i do?

I was just recently diagnosed with several cyst on my left ovary. My GYn wants to remove ovary and fallopian tube only. However, I am 35 years old and had a tubilagation in August of 2003 and I have no desire to have any more children. I have a strong family history of ovairan and cervical cancers.I would rather my Gyno. go ahead and perform the complete hysterectomy so that I can avoid any further complications. He says he don't want to do the full hysterectomy because of my age.
It is likely to be just a coincidence that you have developed symptoms post your hysterectomy. Diabetes is a chronic disease and complications are unlikely to develop over a few weeks or months and alternative possibilities to the cause of your symptoms may need to be considered. I would suggest getting this evaluated by a primary care physician initially and depending on the cause diagnosed/ suspected, it can be managed accordingly or specialist care may be sought.

Hi- Just wondering if anyone out there had any complications post total hysterectomy? I had mine 3 months ago due to several cysts again! Paternal grandma died of ovarian cancer at age 50. I had 15 years of cysts, and a total of 8 laporosopies. I am not even 40 yet! Any how, at my 8 wk check up my oncologist said everything was fine, no infection, no cancer, etc., I can try having sex with my husband. We did everything was fine.
they are monitoring my problems every 3 months. he stated your cancer risk is low. how do they know this for sure. don't they have to operate on me for an exact diagnosis of cancer. they want to do a hysterectomy but they are scared because of complications of adhesions. i am also monitoring a chestnut size nodule on my thyroid which i may need surgery. well, i have had surgeries on my neck as well. i guess i have adhesions there as well.
