hysterectomy

Avatar f tn I to am still finding it difficult to get up before 10 am, and a week and a half ago started on antidepressants which I am only taking at half strength because of the nausea associated to them. My gyn won't give me any hormone replacement until my 3 month checkup. I feel exactly how you do, and have had numerous surgeries before this one and can't ever remember feeling so tired.
Avatar f tn I had partial hysterectomy May 2013, Im 47yr. Now tired, low libido and starting to but on weight. Sr checked my thyroid and watching every 3 months, still normal at this point. Friend recommended Progesterone cream. Taking it a week but woke yesterday nausea, and headache? Is that from maybe to much Progesterone??
Avatar m tn I've had pain, bleeding, and unbelievable tiredness since my da vinci robot assist hysterectomy. In fact, I had to undergo an emergency surgery 4 weeks after my actual surgery because the robot knicked an artery. I severely hemorrhaged from that mistake. Still today, now 6 weeks later, I'm bleeding and have excruciating pain in my lower right pelvic area. I'm so depressed, I'm having to take anxiety medicine.
Avatar m tn Another cause of concern was that before this, for the past few months, she has had a low grade fever and was suffering from constant tiredness. At that time, a scan of her lungs after a bout of laryngitis had revealed some very small cysts, for which the doctor did not want to medicate and recommended to wait. An year and a half ago, she had undergone total hysterectomy for a uterine fibroid.
Avatar f tn The effects on my brain were extreme - severe depression and inability to think, concentrate and remember. I had little energy and often felt shaky. I aged rapidly - lost so much hair and skin collagen. Although I didn't have heart palps or dizziness / vertigo, I know a number of women who did. Has any doctor prescribed estrogen? Finding the right form and dose of estrogen was a huge help for me including lifting me out of the black hole of depression.
Avatar f tn I was prescribed percocet 5 about 6 years ago for endometriosis and other stomach problems. Well the doctors had me on these for about 2 years and moved me up to the 10s. In 2009 I was to be scheduled for a hysterectomy but we had to move. Once we got to the new state, I had to fight with doctors here to do the hysterectomy because of my age. Well at 29 (last year) I was able to get the hysterectomy done. Well after the surgery I tried to quit the pills but the withdrawal was insane.
Avatar f tn But you defintely need to take it easy..unfortunately I had 3 surgeries 2 with the hysterectomy and 1 a week later but my incision took 8-10 weeks to heal...the norm is 4-6 but I know the insides need to heal alot longer..just when you feel good and do too much than you realize your quite not there yet..so please take this time to recover rather than end up doing something that can cause more damage..the Doctor will give you the clearance to exercise again..Good Luck..

473883 tn?1322853038 I really recommend doing that when having a hysterectomy. Even though I completely trusted my Dr I got a second opinion and it just put my mind a little more at ease. We're here to help anyway we can and answer any questions you have.
Avatar n tn I just had a hysterectomy in July of last year. Due to pain, and there was found to be inflammation of the uterus, although it was small, I bled copiously. I was just diagnosed with a rare form of colitis, lymphocytic colitis. I am constantly sore, knees, muscles, back, legs, arms, neck and shoulders, bad headaches. Thyroid, B, and Iron came back normal. Awaiting hormone and cortisol tests to be read. I do have patella femoral pain dysfunction and TMJ.
Avatar f tn I am still having adominal pain, pain with intercorse, urinary and bowel pain, back pain, headaches, sleep problems, bleeding between cycles, extreme tiredness, and have been crying for seemingly no reason. Two years ago my hormones were tested and i was going into perimenopause and my doctor added estradial. Now my testastrone is low. My Gyno has given me the option of just cyst removal all the way up to a total hysterectomy. Im so frustrated and tired of feeling bad.
746058 tn?1248344665 Also, my dysautonomia goes crazy with anesthesia, and the nurses never give me enough saline IV fluid before, during, and after surgery, so you couldn't pay me enough to have unneccesary surgery. If you go the medication route, you may not be able to use the new low dose hormones that have come out in the last few years. I started with that and ended up bleeding every day. Imagine how bad that was! Right now I'm taking Junel 1.5/30 and have been period free for a year.
Avatar f tn I am schedule to have a hysterectomy in a couple weeks, and my concern is will my stomach go back to normal? Will I gain weight? Should I diet during recovery. Can't afford to buy new clothing right now... Will my sex life remain exciting?
Avatar f tn I had my hysterectomy on August 22 of 2006, I was 36 years old, started having thyroid pains within eighteen months of surgery. Cysts in both breasts within 3 months of my hysterectomy and again a year later. Cysts on ovary, now I've been diagnosed with Thyroid Cancer (papillary) at 38. Could there be a connection between the Hysterectomy and Thyroid Cancer? No major problems before hysterectomy.
Avatar n tn First of all if you are still thirsty, loosing weight and having ketones, you are not in control. Ketones happen when your blood sugar is too high and your body is breaking down fat to get you energy, therefore you are loosing weight. These are all signs that you are NOT in control. and heading for ketonacidocisis. (Ketonacidosis can lead to serious problems such as coma is the levels are too high for too long.
Avatar m tn Also my blood pressure has been going up, something that has never happen to me before and I am on BP medication. I am 29 years old and has never had any medical condition before. All this just started in less than one year. Can somebody help. I am constantly in pain and doctors don't seem to know what is wrong, since they all say everything looks normal besides the lump on my back and my blood pressure.

Avatar f tn My worry is the constipation and tiredness and sleepiness she seems to be having. I know she has had this big op and it will have effects but she is a fighter and I do not feel she is fighting as I know her! Please can anyone help with any advise or if this extreme fatigue is normal. She has low potassium . She is fit and healthy in weight and got appetite. Does this cancer move aggressively? She had it one yr before it was diagnosed.
Avatar f tn I am wondering if any of you have problems that come on suddenly and go just as quickly. I was at the soccer park this weekend and walked up an incline (like those for wheelchairs) and my legs felt like they were going to give out from under me. I've had this before and also had/have it when my youngest (now 6) wants me to hold him. He his wayyy too heavy for me now, but even a year or two ago, I had this feeling like my legs were going to give out. My legs will feel strange after this...
