Is there a connection between interstitial cystitis and Sjogren's, fibromyalgia, or the inflammatory response from the genetic variant? I'm wondering if there are other treatment options besides the medication that will also address the other issues.

Avatar f tn A few years ago a dr told me he thought I might have fibromyalgia and gave me some meds to try. I did not try the meds and the pain got to where it wasn’t as bad. My elbows and knees get stiff if I bend them to long, my bladder hurts and I had a hysterectomy 10yrs ago but my inside feel like they r falling out. I get sharp pains in my knees shoulder blades, elbow, ankles but it’s not constant some days I have no pain at all.
Avatar f tn I have had my gall bladder removed, part of my small bowel removed (due to endometriosis), mesh put in my abdomen from a hernia and a hysterectomy. My last surgery was approx 3 years ago. Since then, I have had loose yellow bowel movements, chronic pain in my abdomen, shoulders, knees, feet and hands. Cymbalta helped but caused constipation. With that being said and the research I have done, my question is: Is it possible that I have fibromyalgia?
Avatar n tn I recently had to have a hysterectomy and since that my syptoms have gotten much worse especially in my feet, heels, legs and hips. My aches and pains seemed to move around a lot before the hysterectomy but now everything below my waist is what hurts the most. Avatar f tn I just had a full hysterectomy and I did not have any issues healing or any more pain then what I expected. I was only out a week from work. FM did make any difference to me in the pain I felt or in how I healed.

Avatar n tn I was curious, in general, has anyone noticed menopausal symptoms being more severe and earlier onset due to taking synthroid and having a hysterectomy? I have 3 sisters and we are all close in age... 53, 52, 51 and 50. I am the only one who appears to have started meno and I have had very strong symptoms. My sisters say none of them have really started yet.
1452760 tn?1285095278 In doing this, both NS feel the Chiari is not that bad and they do not feel that either is what is causing my problems. They believe I had Pheripheal Neuropathy and Fibromyalgia. I am scheduled for another MRI of the spine with contrast to review the cyst and also a EMG. Avatar f tn Sue, I haven't been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia, but am quite certain I suffer from it. I have been diagnosed with Hashimotos auto-immune diseasewhich is attacking my thryoid. I will venture to say YES that hormonal supplements DO affect the very interconnected endocrine system. Our bodies are a whole system, not a bunch of non-related parts. I was given a prescription for Levoxyl the first month I took medication. For me, it was an AWFUL experience!

I am 43 yrs. old and had a tubal years ago. I am not having any more children. What do you think is my next step based on these results? Thank you so much.
Avatar f tn Mid Jan of 2012 had a hysterectomy and I immediately following this I had shooting pain to my left leg, down to my ankle where there was a feeling of pressure. I understand that positions patients are placed in during surgery can sometimes result in this type of issue, so I was not too concerned. However, about 5 weeks after the surgery I began to experience burning feet. The shooting pain had just resolved when I began feeling this burning pain to my bilateral feet. Approx.

My husband divorced me when I got sick and could not make money anymore. Try to keep a up attitude as much as possible. Researching Stanford Study for Fibromyalgia and Migraines.
6884955 tn?1385764210 Fibromyalgia does cause body temperature changes like you are describing. It also could be Hypothyroidism. Get your thyroid checked. With me, I sweat like a horse even when it's in the 40's and I'm not wearing a coat. I have fibromyalgia but have also found out I have a thyroid gland that goes to hypo to normal back to being hypo about every three months. good luck and I so feel your pain.

Avatar n tn I'm 67, had complete hysterectomy including ovaries. Only meds I take are ranitidine for reflux and some small cholesterol meds. I eat lots of fruits and veggies, seldom have meat, except in stews or shrimp or chicken bits in my salads, no milk products, no soy, never use the microwave, use RO water, use only half-salt, so I'm thinking I have a very healthy diet. I have chronic fatigue and fibromyalgia since 1995.
Avatar f tn I had both endometriosis and fibroids, had a hystertomy 15 years ago, before I was ever diagnosed with fibromyalgia and CFS and RLS. I never untill now, thought there was a relationship, I also have problems with fibroid tumors in my breasts. I mentioned your poll to my doctor and he rolled his eyes and said the two have nothing to due with each other. Truthfully I think he is an over educated idiot.
886844 tn?1241634047 t think mine is as severe as many seem to be and it is not consistant. Just wanted to comment on the Bladder and Endometriosis/Bladder. Sorry to say, i still have problems with burning/ frequent urination ( mostly at night ) feeling of pressure but often test negative for bacterial infection. I have not seen a Urologist for quite some time. Am not on meds for it .
Avatar f tn I am 34 years old and I have had a hysterectomy and my gallbladder removed and last year I was diagnosed with severe low blood sugar. The past 3 weeks have been the worst ever at first I thought it was just a flu but my symptoms are getting worse and I am scared because they are sometimes making me non functional or ill natured which I have never been.
Avatar n tn The pains associated with the endometriosis became more intense and unbearable over the years and I opted to do the hysterectomy last year, hoping that I would get some relief.......it was not to be. My doc removed one ovary, as he did not want me to go into menopause so soon. I really wish that he removed both. The pain is unbearable especially in the rectum. He prescribed Lupron with I refused to take because of the side effects...
Avatar n tn HE PUTS LOUD MUSIC AND MAKES LOUD SOUNDS OF A SHIP HORN AND PUTS THOSE SOUNDS THROUGH A MICROPHONE, WAKES ME UP AND MY HEAD IS POUNDING WITH PAIN. CAN HIS NOISE AFFECT MY FM? CAUSE I GET WORST WHEN HE STRESSES ME OUT WITH THAT AWFUL SOUNDS HE MAKES.
Avatar m tn She says it feels like her stomach is expanding suddenly, and my dad has listened and it sounds like air ripping through her, but she doesn't need to go to the bathroom or belch or anything. its not gas. It comes with extreme tenderness to the touch, along with intense weakness. It hits all of a sudden and with seemingly no cause or warning. We have tryed to track it by sleep patterns, eating habbits and medications, and nothing has proven to be a direct cause.
