I suggest that you would be well served by seeking consultation with one of the lung doctors who provided your care during the episode of sepsis. He/she would be in an excellent position to evaluate your current condition in the context of the sepsis experienced two years ago.

I am just trying to figure out if post sepsis can cause the health issues I am facing now. I had sepsis as a result of a perianal abcess. Since I have had sore joints, teeth falling out, night sweats, neuropathic pain, back pain, constipation, I was peri menopausal after sepsis and now have irregular bleeding and spotting and then occasionally heavy bleeding. Recently I had gross hematuria in my urine and bled for over 2 weeks - bright red every time i urinated. A cystoscopy showed nothing.
I've been having symptoms of kidney infection for the past few days. Bad lower back pain, fever, nausea, etc. I can't go to the doctor for a few more days, my clinic is pretty busy and isn't open til tomorrow anyway. I was just wondering how long does it usually take to cause damage or turn into sepsis? I have had sepsis before but I don't remember much from them because I also had mono and an infection so was out of it. Any help is appreciated.
