Keep some small juice boxes or cans handy wherever you are, and if he complains of headache, fatigue, or if he seems cold for no reason, you may want to offer some juice to bring sugar levels up. If I were you, I would ask to be referred to a juvenile diabetes specialist, who can tell you first-hand that seizures can be caused by severe hypoglycemia.

This means that when you eat certain foods, your blood glucose spikes, then suddenly the bottom drops out and it's too low (hypoglycemia). If you aren't careful, it ends up being a vicious circle, because the glucose drops you eat something to raise it, but many people raise it too quickly again, which again causes it to plummet - and so it goes...

I went off of it at age 20 to try and get pregnant. We tried for a year and then we stopped trying for 2 years and started trying again for the next 12 years until I was almost 35. Every single food you eat is converted to glucose, the trick is eating those that don't spike your system. Proteins, good fats and the right fruits and veggies. (not unlike southbeach) For instance, WaveRider mentioned fruits. Different fruits have different glycemic loads. For instance, apples have glycemic index of ~35-40, which is low.
