Hydrocodone vs roxicet

Common Questions and Answers about Hydrocodone vs roxicet

Avatar f tn Other brand names available under oxycodone are Endocet, Magnacet, Narvox, Tylox, Roxicet etc and under Hydrocodone are Anexsia, Dolorex Forte, Hycet, Liquicet, Lortab, Lorcet, Xodol, Zydone, Zamicet, Maxidone, Norco, Polygesic, Zolvit etc. Both are used for the treatment of moderate to severe pain. However Percocet is a better pain medication than Vicodin as it is a stronger opioid. http://www.findrxonline.
Avatar m tn The day I broke my wrist, I was given four different medications and one of them was Hydrocodone. It worked for the first couple days but after that I was in a lot of pain. The next doctor visit I was given Percocet and that alone worked wonders for the pain and made me feel loopy. I went a couple days without taking it because I was pain free and started feeling anxious, had hot and cold flashes, and restlessness.
217599 tn?1202850952 i have been tapering off norco, slowly for family reasons, and ran out before the taper was complete. i have 4 roxicet given to me, and want to know how small to break them up to equal 1/4 norco. i need to do this to get through the weekend as i need to drive in the city and cznnot have any more nights of zero sleep. i know driving in the city is nothing to a lot of you, but i am a country girl, and need my wits about me.
Avatar m tn That is a Guatamalan hydrocodone - 7.5 mg hydro/ 325 acetaminophen.
217599 tn?1202850952 s and most people I know are aware that oxycodone is a much stronger opiate than hydrocodone! Plus the strongest dosage of hydrocodone is 10mg if I am not mistaken(unless a special mixture of pill has been requested to be made by a pharmacist), but oxycodone has came as high as 160mg pill form in a time-released pill(oxycontin).. I am not sure they make the 160mg anymroe, but they do still make the 10mg, 20mg, 40mg, and 80mg oxycontin(which is a time-released oxycodone) Much stronger.
1029192 tn?1292981918 So, I finally decided to see my general practitioner today because I just couldn't wait until Tuesday to see my specialist. I really needed to get it off my chest, how I've been feeling...so, I was lucky enough to get an appointment this morning. Mind you, there are, like 20 doctors in this group, and the one I managed to get just happened to be a co-worker's father...anyway...
445312 tn?1205376479 roxicet is percocet, roxicodone is oxycodone. Roxicet and Roxicodone are slang so the person at the clinic may never have heard of it. Keep posting daily and we will all help you get through this. I was feeling great 2 days into stopping the vicodin I thought I could quit smoking too, not a good idea, I caved on that after 2 days. I said let me take care of 1 addiction at a time.
Avatar n tn Not really any difference. Vicoprofen has Ibuprofen with the Hydrocodone. Vicodin has Tylenol. Strength would be the same if they both were the same dose.
Avatar f tn So I have been on oxycodone and roxicet ( not at the same time, the dr will write it for one or the other) Both meds are 5-325 strength. It seems like everytime I get a script for the roxicet I end up getting very sick to my stomach and vomiting. I am taking the medication as prescribed. I know the two medicines are basically the samething so my question is, why is one medication making me sick to my stomach while the other one does not?
Avatar n tn I've been on doctor prescribed Roxicet (5/325) for the last 4 years due to neck and shoulder pain. I had gotten to the point where I was taking 2 pills every 4-6 hours. Due to some long hard work with physical therapy I was beginning to feel like I could start going off the Rox. Then on Monday I got a "bug". I threw up for 2 days. Since I wasn't able to hold anything down I didn't take my meds.
Avatar n tn I here about Loratab, Vicodin etc. I was on Roxicet (percs 5/325) which was bad enough. Are they all just about the same except for the opiate amount? I just want to know so when I here people talk about what they were on I will have some idea about how addictive they are.
1214626 tn?1288106214 ROXIES is a slang name for Roxicet. Roxicet is the generic name for Percocet. (oxycodone + tylonol.) Very potent, highly addictive but very effective schedule 2 narcotic. Illegal to have without a prescription. As to why it is being snorted, snorting is a way addicts use certain drugs as a quicker way to achieve a high than ingesting. Opiates give a feeling of greatness and euphoria that nothing can explain. The reason people pay so much for them is in short one of the more potent pain killers.
203003 tn?1210855907 anybody know about Roxicet? its 5mg, i already posted but It got deleted bc I said something I shouldnt have =( but I am supposed to get those, well she said they were percocet without any tylenol in it, whatever. Is the name for Percocet with no tylenol...ROXICET? never taken it just need something to ween off of..and thats my only option i would go cold turkey but my fam things im clean and if they see me all sleeping n sick n moody they will know...
Avatar f tn avisg is our resident expert on Trams. Vicodin is also an opiate. It is Hydrocodone and addictive as all opiates are. On the addiction scale Vics are not as strong as other opiates. Why do you ask?
403399 tn?1201833095 The only reason why Tramadol (Ultracet, Ultram, etc.) is not considered a narcotic is because at the moment it is unscheduled in the USA and pretty much everywhere else. It is fairly new being researched and first put on the market in the 90's.
Avatar m tn I have been taking Roxicet for 7 years and need to come off now for work. I take about 5 a day and found that i cant ween with roxicets. I want to ween with suboxones so i picked up ten of them. I understand i will have so rough days but how would you taper with this many? I can get more subs but would like to see if i can do it with this amount. Do i suck on these or eat them? Anyhelp would be greatly appreciated.
206807 tn?1331936184 Since changing to Norco my intake has doubled and has me concerned. I know they both have same amount of hydrocodone but does Lorcet work longer because of the Acetaminophen? Does the Acetaminophen slower the disribution of hydrocodone? The Norco seems to work faster but the Lorcet seems to work longer. Any input?
Avatar f tn Hi Jujubean48, When you have been on the same Medication for such a long period of time, many times you build up a tolerance to your medications. That's what happened to me after I was on Norco (Hydrocodone) 7.5 for 7 years. After that length of time they just quit working on me! :( My PM Doctor switched me to Percocet 10/325's for my BT (Breakthrough) Meds along with giving me a Long-Acting Med and that took care of the problem. Hopefully, the Ultram will give you some relief.
Avatar f tn I take hydrocodone and can take up to six of these a day. I am concerned with becoming addicted and if using six pills a day is safe. Lately, my sister has noticed I have slurring of speech occasionally and use the wrong words in a sentence sometimes. Can hydrocodone use cause this? Thank you for any response.
Avatar n tn s either a Roxicet 30mg or an Oxycontin 30mg. The Roxicet is an immediate release of the whole 30mg of oxycodone and the Oxycontin, if swallowed whole, is a timed release version of 30mg of oxycodone. Secondly, telling a doctor that you have an opiate addiction does not mean you won't be treated for pain. If the doctor is a good doctor, then it just means that they are more cautious with treating your pain. That's why addictionologists are great alternatives for us addicts.
Avatar n tn A former colleague of mine swears that Tramadol is more effective for her than Hydrocodone. She actually went from Hydrocodone to Tramadol. Why is it effective for her? Because we are all different and different medications work differently on each of us. Actually your physician may be making a smart move. In my opinion it's worth a try. Tramadol is prescribed for the treatment of moderate to moderately severe chronic pain in adults. It works very similarly to morphine.
