As with all medications, you may experience side effects when you take WELLBUTRIN XL. Side effects may be more common shortly after you start treatment. I just started on Zohydro ER because the idea of not taking acetaminophen with hydrocodone was tempting. (There's a Black Box warning about the acetaminophen in Vicodin).
The first day I started the Z. (about 5 days ago) I got less pain relief and much more pain than I had with 5/375 Vicodin! That's seems totally wrong but it happened. The dose of the Z is the same as I got for the number of 5/375s I took per day.
Anyone else on Z. and how do you like it? Any side effects?

I had many side effects. Headaches, severe heartburn accompanied with hiccups. Blisters and discoloration all over my tongue and back of my throat. By day 6 my feet and ankles were badly swollen and it was getting difficult to swallow. My doc said I was having a systemic reaction and to quit immediately. We are going to try Subutex now and I hope it works.
On all the info I found, the only side effect I had that was listed was headache.
Hydrocodone has the same side effects as does Oxycodone. If you are susceptible to become drowsy from Oxycodone, then it is safe to assume the hydrocodone may make you sleepy as well. On the other hand I have heard some people say that Hydrocodone gives them more energy and insomnia when they take it, so it really depends on how your body reacts to it. No two people are the same in that regard. I remember when I used to take Norco I never knew if I would get drowsy or hyper when I took it.

Sometimes, dividing the dose into several doses throughout the day may help. Also taking the smallest dose you can take is best to avoid the side effects. Initially, many people have side effects, but after your body gets used to the med. it goes away (usually after a week or 2).

ve been suffering some mild insomnia, excess sweating, but perhaps most off putting is the lack of libido and sexual response!! Hmmm, not everyone's side effects will be the same. In fact, you may not really have any side effects that you notice.
My side effects were:
racing heart - I lost about 5 lbs in 3 days.
skin sensitive to the touch.
feeling like I was beat up with a baseball bat on my back.
shaking.
and feeling like my achilles tendon was going to rip off.

I was suffering from severe insomnia last month. I tried sleeping pills (Rhovane/Immovane, Benzodiazapine) and they were baaaddddd. Extremely addictive with anxiety and agitation during the day. I stopped them cold turkey and suffered a week or more of rebound insomnia and withdrawal. With that behind me my GP asked me if I wanted to try Celexa; he wasn't sure if I was showing signs of depression but thought it might help with the anxiety that was feeding my insomnia.
I am new to this forum. I am trying to get off the hydro now. I have a partial stomach and digestive disorder. I really got dependent on it to where I never felt the pain because I continued to take it so I wouldn't feel any. I was taking liquid and tabs. with xanax, ambien. I take melatonin, not nightly, but maybe two or three or four nights a week. I have tried to read up on side effects and have not found much information at all. I don't notice any side effects, myself.
Since melatonin is a short-acting drug, and the therapeutic effects of it do not seem to last long at all, I'm thinking that any side effects would not last longer than a few hours or a day or two -- at most -- after you discontinued using it.
