im not an addict of hydrocodone. my dr gave me narcos for my wisdom tooth being pulled this is the third day. but only second time i have had to take it. it makes me sooo tired. i have four kids. is there anything i can do to get some energy. i can barley keep my eyes open.
THey are both way stronger than codcamol (which is panadol and codeine) and neurofen (which is ibuprofen) Codcamol and neurofen are both avail over the counter at the chemist but you should only be able to get oxycodone or hydrocodone on prescription from a doctor.. Let me know if I have this wrong tho...
Hi there! I have a very bad migraine which I get often and I have hydrocodone prescribed. I went out last night and drank alcohol, though (I had quite a few drinks!). I finished my last drink around 11:30pm last night and it is currently 4:30 pm right now. Is it safe for me to take a vicoprofen (5-7.5mg hydrocodone 200-325 mg ibuprofen) after this event. It has not yet been 24 hours, but I have eaten a substantial meal today as well as 2 snacks and have been drinking water.
I was prescribed Mupirocin for a non-healing nasal ulcer. I used it for about 2 days then woke up with a bad headache today from the get go. I've tried everything I can. I have taken Tylenol TWICE, Hydrocodone with Acetaminophen in it, nasal spray, a Breathe Right nasal strip (since I do have severe sinus problems.) NOTHING has worked or given any relief.
It won't hurt you to take the two opiates together, they are often prescribed together for pain control, with one being used as the primary med and the other being used for breakthrough pain. The problem with it, though, is you have GOT to watch your tylenol consumption. The safe limit of tylenol per day is 4000mg, anything more than that can be toxic, and since both meds contain tylenol, you'll reach that level fairly quickly without half trying.
I am having some severe side effects concerning short term memory loss, irritability, and fatigue. I have taken Ibuprofen 800mg, nortriptyline HCL 25mg, promethazine 25mg, acetaminophen COD#3, cycmbalta 30mg, pamelor 25mg, cyclobenzarrine 10mg, hydrocodone 500mg, methycprednisolone 4mg, tramadol HCL 50 mg, and viagra 100mg. My question is will any of the medications i was subscribed or taken in combination have symptons of severe memory loss?

Not really any difference. Vicoprofen has Ibuprofen with the Hydrocodone. Vicodin has Tylenol. Strength would be the same if they both were the same dose.
Hydrocodone only comes with either acetaminophen or ibuprofen. Tramadol is another medication that I use with my patients that is of equal effectiveness but does come without the other medications. However, some patients will experience nausea with tramadol.

Vicoden is (hydrocodone) and (acetaminophen "tylenol") and theres Vicoprofen (hydrocodone) and (ib-profen) the hydrocodone and acetaminophen in 5/500 Vics equal eachother out as the 10/325 hydro and aceta equals out.
This was about 1 1/2 years ago, neuro stimulator placed doing well with pain control using ibuprofen and Tylenol #4. However according to PM Dr. last 3 dit have shown increased amounts of hydrocodone. I take ibuprofen, Tylenol #4, Prozac, diazyde, devastating, multivitamin, exception, and a topical compound which is formulated under Dr. order. I do not take hydrocodone. I am allergic to hydrocodone. I am at my wits end, what would cause this false positive.

They are safe... I took high doses and through all of my pregnancies. I had severe pain and kidney stones with my pregnancies. I passed a stone already with this baby but fought the pain when I get a next attack I will go in for pain killers. Also you can not take ibuprofen while pregnant.
I am planning on trying the ibuprofen. My only concern was that I am dependent on the hydrocodone and my doctor is wrong. They are not always right about everything.
The only way to tell is to stop taking it. I just wanted to know if I should experience withdrawal symptoms, what they would be and how bad they would be so I can plan accordingly.
I am not going to keep taking this medication for years and years although I know people with chronic pain do it all the time.
Hydrocodone is available without tylenol. The brand name is vicoprofen and it has 7.5 mg of hydrocodone and 200 mg of ibuprofen, which is the same as one Advil tablet. Vicoprofen also has a generic equivalent. I've found it to be a more effective short-acting medication than regular vicodin, probably because ibuprofen is a true anti-inflammatory which tylenol isn't.
Ibuprofen and Tylenol. Heat with stretching and then ice before bed. Dr's can only prescribe hydro- pain meds, that you get from a pharmacy.
Since I have been titrating to the correct level for my ms contin, I have been pretty much living on my hydrocodone, and as a result, it is losing its effectiveness. I have been on Nucynta 100mg for breakthrough pain before, but it gives me a very racey feel and when it comes time to rotate off....well...talk about feeling like poop. I have rotated off some heavy duty meds and this one takes the cake and the whole bakery as far as physical detox goes, wow terrible.
So I have been taking venlafaxine (effexor) 150mg for 3 years now and bupropion (wellbutrin) 150mg for 3 months now and I recently had to go to surgery.I had an ovarian cyst that needed to be drained and my appendix taken out in the same operation. Anyways the doctors prescribed me with hydrocodone (vicodin) 5-325TB , ibuprofen 600mg and Doc-q-lace 100mg and I've taking the hydrocodone, ibuprofen,and doc-q-lace only about four times or less since my surgery on Monday (today is Sunday haha).
I can't take any anti-inflammatory meds, boy, you talk about a stomach ache!
And,I'm sorry that I can't, because with this arthritis it would help. I am still struggling with this oxycodone thing just not seeming to do anything for my pain. Everybody keeps saying how much stronger it is but I can honestly say I can't tell that it does anything for me. I get 5 mgs twice a day, and even taking them together, nothing.
