Hydrocodone and caffeine

Common Questions and Answers about Hydrocodone and caffeine

Avatar m tn s actually from the hydrocodone. Obviously i have an addictive personality and decided to nip the hydrocodone and alcohol in the bud, but granted today at work (washing dishes) I felt like a pile of ****. Please help. Also do you have any reccomendations if you've gone through nicotine withdrawals before? Should I take some tylenol or something for my back? Is there anything that can help me sleep?
Avatar f tn I have severe Gastroparesis and am on GJ feeding tubes. I was in pain management, but got kicked out because hydrocodone wasn't showing up in my system. I did a DNA test and I don't metabolize opioids and with all the liquids that run through my body with feeds, I feel like it dilutes my urine. Is there anyone that can help me document or verify this. I'm distraught.
1550654 tn?1294747554 Out of the three you quit, the hydrocodone and smokes, you want to leave alone. You have done better than you can even imagine, and I mean that. You don't want to go back, however, with the caffeine, you might want to consider breaking just a tad. When I say that, I mean things like tea, soda, chocolate, not something like coffee and or energy drinks/shots.
Avatar m tn t panic and just take it for what it is. This too shall pass. Drink lots of water, avoid caffeine and try to stay busy. If you feel like crying, then do it. Don't over analyse and don't dwell on this. It will go away. Remember how you are feeling and know that each time you go back on pain meds the symptoms get worse with each WD.....get off the stuff now while you still have a life. Relax and just breath.
4753943 tn?1359934569 I have one more question. Is there anything I could do to relieve the extreme fatigue and tiredness? I just want to know if anything will help since I shouldn't drink caffeine and still have to work and go on with daily life. Thanks!
Avatar m tn I'm 59 and have been taking hydrocodone for 3 years. I lost my son from an overdose od oxicotin a year ago. I am seeing a new doctor and he will not prescribe hydrocodone for me. I have been without pain meds for 5 days. I am restless and my body aches very badly. How long does it take to detox. I am also a diabetic and have.
Avatar f tn Stay away from sugar, soda, and simple carbs. Do not consume caffeine at least 6 hours prior to bedtime. Take a look at my blogs about options for detox and recovery, as well as chronic pain control. You may also take a look at my clinic website where I also have my blogs and a lot of other info about drug addiction and recovery. Look into my clinic website as well. All this can be done by clicking on my name in blue.
Avatar f tn t fit my regular clothes, just very puffed up and so very uncomfortable. It goes all the way up to under my breasts. I watch what I eat, I exercise (sometimes up to 7 days a week), I take Midol but doesn't alleviate much discomfort. I'm 46 years old and have talked to my doctor but she doesn't seem to have any suggestions either. Does anyone else experience this and if so, any suggestions would be most welcome.
Avatar f tn I had a drug test from my pain management office yesterday. They said my urine screen was negative for the pill I had taken about three hours prior to testing. I have been drinking a lot lately because of some undying thirst (and caffeine to make the long drive there). And I'm not a huge fan of water so not a whole lot of actual water consumption. I had drank about 40oz of a dr pepper in the time since I had taken that last pill and it was several hours prior that since the last one.
Avatar f tn s one of the stronger OTC pain meds and it helped enormously for my headaches. And the body aches. And I took it in the morning so the caffeine in this med helped to get me going for the day. And I made sure I took it only in the morning so it wouldn't affect my sleep. Might be worth a shot? :) p.s. and i agree with soaddicted, hot baths, and sitting in a dark room also helps alot!
Avatar m tn Try to soak in warm baths, do not drink anything with caffeine, no sugars and try to go on walks throughout the day. In order to rest or sleep, you can maybe try Advil PM to help with the muscle discomfort and rest. Good luck and keep pushing through!
Avatar f tn Drink a lot of water and lie down in the dark with an ice pack where the pain is. You can try the mixture of some caffeine and Tylenol. And if fiorocet ever worked for you as a migraine med. You are allowed to take it. Ask your ob to prescribe you some. None of the triptans ever worked for me and I was on hydrocodone for them. I hope that yours don't last for days like mine do.
Avatar m tn I'm sorry you can't sleep. I have totally cut out all caffeine and it's helped some. I also have noticed I start to get really anxious the later in the day it gets because of the insomnia issue. I try to stay busy or even watch a movie to get my mind off of obsessing about sleep. I've always had insomnia but its crazy bad now! I hope that you can find something to help.
Avatar n tn I dont take more then the recommended dose which is 4 tablets a day. Panlor SS is acetaminophen, caffeine and dihydrocodeine. This may sound bad, but somehow I am out of my script 5 days early. My doctor wont renew my script till the 13th, and Im trying to figure out what im going to do for pain. Im scared to go thru a withdrawal period these next few days, but more so, the pain Im going to occur.
Avatar f tn Make sure you stay nice and hydrated, and eat a banana and drink a soda. Sprints lack of caffeine in your diet can trigger it. Not just soda tea and coffee have caffine. Good luck to you! FEEL BETTER SOON!
Avatar m tn try tylenol and a cold rag. i had the worst migraine yesterday and finally laid down and used a cold rag and it helped alot... good luck to ya..
Avatar m tn DO NOT let the devil highjack your brain! You CAN and WILL survive this...and be a more empathetic and loving person because of this ****** experience :o) Hugs and well wishes to you my friend!
Avatar f tn You have been off hydrocodone for over a month and unless you feel contident, wait to quit if you really don't feel it. It's been proven in some recent studies that addiction , alcoholism and smoking are all related. It also said the alcoholic smokers who quit have a better chance of staying sober. I was a dope addict and I quit smoking and feel it has helped me with my drug addiction.
Avatar f tn It is so important to stay hydrated. Water, juice, and gatorade. Try to stay away from caffeine. If you have diarrhea, try Immodium. It really helps. 3) Move, move, move!! You may feel like you are dying, but you aren't. Moving around in key. Even if it's a 15 minute walk, it's better than nothing. You will recover quicker and have an easier detox the more active you are. These are just a few of the basic things that might help you along your way. There is no magic cure.
Avatar f tn and it drove me to get out and move. The tyrosine helped me in the morning a little and avoid caffeine and sugar. It will be better in 3-4 days i almost guarentee it. Hang in there and stay STRONG!!
Avatar f tn m trying so hard to fight threw the days and not have caffeine its just so hard when im dragging all day and have little ones to chase after today I had 2 big cups of coffee and have been doing research my dr said and I have seen online the recommended dose is no more than 200 mg of caffeine a day I dont want to harm my baby I didn't drink caffeine with the others I'm definitely not gonna have 2 cups in one day again I've got myself all freaked out and hope that i havent hurt the bab
Avatar f tn Hi, I am on 50mg of Zoloft and I can't have caffeine. It is very tricky for me to avoid caffeine being that I'm not sure what has caffeine and what doesn't. Is there a list of common everyday foods and drinks that do not have caffeine in them?
Avatar f tn t live without my coffee, went from 3-4 cups a day to one in the morning. And here and there have a soda...as long as they are not the only things you drink all day every day I was told it's not a big deal.
435139 tn?1255460391 I know chocolate has caffeine, and the piece I had on Sunday to take home was cut into four seven inch in length by 3 inches wide pieces (it was a tall layered cake with peanut butter in between the three layers!). I had one piece yesterday and another today then my grandmother freaked me out! I know I shouldn't eat cake while pregnant...no nutrients, unhealthy etc. etc. BUT do you really think it has a lot of caffeine and that I could have hurt my developing baby? Thanks!
Avatar f tn I have trouble concentrating and become dizzy easily. For those who have the same issue, do you find it difficult to tolerate caffeine and does it worsen your symptoms? It seems like it does not matter how much water or Gatorade I consume if I have a diet coke I feel bad the rest of the day. I'm tired of feeling bad!
