will drinking grapefruit juice interfere with hydrochlorothiazide or any other medication

We need to chew the food very well. When you chew it, teeth grind the food well and it will become semi liquid shape with saliva. We need to taste the food while chewing so more saliva will form that will surround the ground food. After the food has become semi liquid shape only, we need to swallow the food. 2.

My MD put me on Hyzaar for hypertension. Previously I had been on Cozaar but she changed it to Hyzaar for the added benefit of the diuretic. I noticed my drug company autosubbed generic Losortan. The bottle doesn't say anything about hydrochlorothiazide being included. Could I be getting the wrong thing, or should I assume some form of hydrochlorothiazide is included?

I have been taking Lisinopril and Hydrochlorothiazide (HTCZ) for high blood pressure since May 2007. Recently I have a feeling that the Hydrochlorothiazide is not working as it used to be. Will HCTZ lose its effectiveness after a certain number of years? Anyone know the answer or having similar experience, please let me know. Thank You In Advance For Your Reply.

I'm presently on atenolol 40 mg (along with hydrochlorothiazide) once daily. I will be transitioning to propanolol 20 mg (and hydrochlorothiazide) twice daily soon - my doctor wants me to transition by taking propanolol - 1/2 of 20 mg twice a day for one week and then the full 20 mg twice daily. Why? Won't that cause rebound hypertension? Thanks.

15-20 miles per week running, 3 days upper body, 1-2 days swimming. I eat basically the same type and amounts of food since the inception of this routine. I currently have a blood pressure 149/90. During runs I get tired momentarily, jog for 20-30 seconds then am fine again for another .5- 1 mile. Runs are at least 5 miles in length. Usually I feel better after runs, but lately feel drained -slight headache.

I have just diag. with MSK with multi. stones. (found it after further testing due to high blood pressure) Dr. just put me on Lisinopril and Hydrochlort. for the hypertension. On several occasions I have been noticing some numbness in my toes. Some times it's just one toe and some times it's 3 or 4 toes. Any idea's? Could this be due to the medicine?

I am so confused because I have too many issues that can cause the same symptoms. Recently, my doctor switched me from Valsartan HCTZ to Hydrochlorothiazide plus regular Valsartan for my blood pressure. When I first started it, right away I was having rapid heart beat and shortness of breath so he told me take potassium supplements. That did help but now I am wondering if I am taking too much potassium.

I take Methyldopa, Hydrochlorothiazide, levonthroid, pre-natal vitamins, lupron injections, and Estrace pills. The only new medications that I just started taking is the pre-natal vitamins and the Estrace pills, but I did not have the dark green stool when I took them in the past. Hello, I was having the numbness and tingling while taking hydrochlorothiazide. I would stop taking it and the numbness/tingle would go away, take it again, and it would come right back. Not sure if he is taking hydrochlorothiazide. They had me on it for edema. I have swelling in my hands and ankles, all tests neg except for CMV. Battling this since April 2008. Hands so swollen, can't open bottles, hold a pen, hold a phone or peel the label off the top of yogurts..ect..

Definitely see your doctor. It sounds to me like something I go through, but usually mine is just during the summer. I get water retention something awful in both of my feet and legs. It even affects my hands and arms. My doctor put me on hydrochlorothiazide to take during the times of my period. I'm thinking about asking either for something else or see if we should up my dose since I only take it for 10 days each month. Definitely see your doc.

Diagnosed recently with high blood pressure. New med Hydrochlorothiazide for 2 weeks. Now my upper gum & roof of mouth are red, swollen, and painful. This is not a listed side affect. What's wrong?

My husband is only 38, he had a stroke last year he had a stent put in, now he is on plavix, atenolol, hydrochlorothiazide 25mg, last week his doc added niacin 500 mg, simvastatin 20, flexeril and tramadol, also his one aspirin each day, these are just so many meds, are they safe?
