Avatar m tn s important to address a few points about the uses of these compounds therapeutically. On the up side, hyaluronic acid is the same from whatever source it is isolated, and it is so common in the body that it can be used as a hypoallergenic surgical material for reconstructing and building up tissues that are lost. So hyaluronic acid has become a widely used substance among plastic and reconstructive surgeons.
Avatar n tn I'm taking Ameriden Olive Leaf Extract - 6 caps a day, I was instructed to take only this brand. Plus Glucosamine 1500mg 3 X a day and hyaluronic acid (cushions joint) 100mg 3X a day. It'a lot of pills but would rather do that than take drugs with bad side-effects (had really bad reaction to Celebrex). You can go to the website Arthritis Help For Me ******* for more info.

Avatar f tn Hi, Thanks for writing in. EUFLEXXA is a high purity hyaluronan, also called hyaluronic acid (HA) or sodium hyaluronate. HA is the natural substance found in the fluid that surrounds a healthy knee joint and helps cushion, lubricate, and protect the knee as you move throughout the day. You should not receive treatment with EUFLEXXA if you have: A known allergy to hyaluronate preparations, or knee joint infections, infections or skin disease in the area of the injection site.
Avatar f tn Hello, I went to the doctor to have a filler injected into the eyes dark circles area, the syringe with the gel (hyaluronic acid) was not new, I know because he took it out of a box but the blister was not sealed, I also saw that the gel in the syringe was not completely full, I saw that he took a needle with a cover from the blister, so I think the needle was new, and he placed it on the tip of the syringe with gel, I am worried that the gel (hyaluronic acid) has been contaminated with the bloo

Avatar n tn Juvederm is basically an injectible filler used by cosmetic, dermatological, and plastic surgeons to soften deep folds and reduce wrinkles in the faces of patients. It consists of hyaluronic acid which is found normally in muscles, skin and tendons of mammals. Although it has many side effects like redness, pain and tenderness during injections and swelling and bruising at the injection sites but all these are temporary side effects which go away in a few days.

Avatar m tn Ok so i am 20 years old and i took accutane for about 3 months, then stopped due to lower back pain. After much research i found that the accutane dries up the glands that produce synovial fluid that lubricates your joints. Since then i've been taking hyaluronic acid which helps lube the joints.
634733 tn?1316625992 I’ve had the most horrible side effects. I already suffer with really bad acid reflux (diagnosed as IBS co they couldn’t find anything else). Well this drug gave me acid to die for – pains in the neck, back, stomach under my ribs; I thought I was having a heart attack!! The acid is so bad at the moment it is making me cough when it hits my throat and the pain – well – and its been 36 hours since I took a tablet. For goodness sake I only took 10 mg and only managed that for 2 days!!!

Avatar f tn Take tyrosine -- pretty common amino acid that the body uses to make certain neurotransmitters that can make a depressed person perhaps feel less depressed but take a normal person and make them overstimulated. Also has synthetic ingredients such as sucralose that can bother some people. I'm sure you'll recover, but be careful with these products.
Avatar m tn Hello, I am 46 yrs old, male, ex-athlete (competitive level basketball) and live in London, England. A year ago I was diagnosed with osteoarthritis on my left hip during an arthroscopy and most of the joint cartilage is worn out. Take glucosamine tablets regularly. Even though my condition is not so advanced to take painkillers etc, I cannot do any sport, which is important to me (even at a light, amateur level) and walking start bothering me after a few hundered meters.
Avatar n tn I understand your concern, but after much research concerning the side effects of statins meds, PVC's are not a listed side effect. In fact, statin use has been studied in exercise induced PVC trials and have been shown to reduce the incidence of PVCs due to exercise so it would stand to reason that they also do not affect normal heart rhythm. Having said that, your PVCs may be anxiety related to statin use.
798555 tn?1292787551 Tyrosine is mostly involved in the production of norepinephrine and serotonin. It can be stimulating and it can be relaxing depending on the person. It's most often used in the treatment of depression, but obviously has many uses in the body. The trend these days is to treat pain and fatigue with antidepressants, particularly snris that target both norepinephrine and serotonin such as Cymbalta. Recently approved for treatment of fibromyalgia.

Avatar m tn Thanks for your response. My doctor told me to go off of durezol and onto Lotemax 2x a day. He also took a look at my retinas and overall eye health and said the increased pressure didn't cause any obvious signs of any major side effects. Before surgery, I tried all that (restasis for 1 year, xiidra for 4 months, Toyos IPL, lipiflow, gland probing and expressions from Maskin, supplements, dieting, lifestyle changes, doxy, PRP serum, etc).
