what i hate is the cyclosporine 500mg,and humira 40mg,thats for my psoriasis of my skin there side effects are the worst it effects my wbc which is .01%.i can't get sick.funny! they pulled out all my teeth so i won't get an infection.i have a warthins tumoron left side.now i found i have another tumor in front of my throat ,they done a biopsy but i have to do it again cause they need to use a ultrasound which i think he should have done in first place. what is your situation Sir_Osis?

Humira is a good medication to induce remission and symptom resolution, tough there are a few side effects associated. However all side effects may not necessarily develop in everybody. My husband has severe psoriasis, he's been through the light box treatment, and several creams and now humira, nothing seems to be clearing. Does anyone have any suggestions for any home remedies to help with it. Also, does dryer sheets affect psoriasis? I use alot of dryer sheets. thank you.

Humira is an anti-inflammatory monoclonal antibody directed against TNF. Well, every drug including prednisone would have side effects and so does humira. Without a detailed evaluation, I would not be the best judge if this would be the most suitable drug in the situation; though it could be given a short period of trial to see how well you do on it. You may also like to get a second opinion from another gastroenterologist before making a change in the treatment plan. Hope this is useful.

I did the light therapy for a few months but it was painful and left dark spots that are still here years later. I took Humira for 7 months and my psoriasis was totally gone from everywhere! (except for the flexure). Well it doesn't work for me anymore so I am going to try something else. All I'm trying to say is get on top of it! Even though you were on this med before and did fine you can go back on a med and have side effects. Or, side effects can show up at any time with any med. The weight gain is from the steroid, not from being inactive. My sister has to take a steroid sometimes and when she does she can put on a great deal of weight in no time. Humira comes with a long list of possible side effects. I really think this is what your Dr should be looking in to.

He concluded that the relief (although moderate) provided by the NSAIDs was further evidence for Reactive Arthritis and that I should try Humira. I have been on Humira for about 6 weeks with no effect. If anything, pain has gotten worse (though worsening should probably be attributed to discontinuation of NSAIDs).

My stomach hurts, especially lower left side. im worried the humira is throwing off the tests or delaying the production of antigens or antibodies. my headaches are getting worse as well. I was diagnosed with hep c in 2004. I HAVE THE WORST CASE OF PSORIASIS MY DOCTORS SAY THEY EVER SAW. OVER 90% OF MY BODY. IT'S DEC 2009 NW AND MY LOWER LEGS ARE VERY SWOLLEN WITH SCABS ALL OVER THEM. i'm so tired i sleep 15-18 hours a day. As of last night I cant drive because I pass out 2 minutes after i'm drivig. I'VE lost 20 lbs. in 2 weeks and I cant eat. I am very nautious and dizzy. I think yhis is it for me. Any moment. Be honest. What do you think?

Rituximab (aka Rituxan) is sometimes used when Remicade, Enbrel or Humira do not work out. I have not taken this medication but am hopeful someone in the forum will have had experience with this medication. I also have suffered from psoriasis most of my life.I stopped taking Humira back in September but did take one shot around the end of March. I was also on prednisone the entire month of march. Should my test results make me feel any better or do they mean nothing at this point.
