On doctor suspects that because I have not taken Humira injection for about a month that it might have played a role in this mystery, Has anyone had anything similar to this or have insight on success and failures from Humira and Remicade, I really appreciate any and all responses and insight

My gastro is going to start me on Humira and my question is, does Humira aid with digestion and stop the diarrhea. Thanks!

I was on Imuran as well as Humira and I never got sick, even after being around people who were. Maybe I was just lucky. Keep hand sanitizer with you at all times. Remember not to touch your face as well, and get lots of rest!

Is it ok to get the flu shot when on Humira for my Crohns disease. Also what about the H1N1 shot when that comes out can I take that. I also have FSHD muscular dystohy.

Demyelinating diseases like MS can be caused by the use of Humira. If so, the course of the disease is variable and cannot be predicted. There is not much in the way of at home treatment that can be done for this disease. The same for polyneuropathy. You may consult your doctor and advance the date of appointment. Exercise, in some people, helps reduce the awareness of symptoms. Meditation also can be tried.

There are enough other sites and posts of the same complaint and also in the first 6 months on Humira. It was about my 3rd injection I think when I started having tooth pain in my upper front teeth. Within a couple of days, my bottom front teeth stated hurting. I skipped a week of Humira under Dr advice incase I was fighting a sinus infection. Symptoms got better. Then I started back on my Humira last night and my teeth are killing me again.

He then sent me to a cardiologist.....and a neurologist. I had an MRI of the brain and neck with Constrast and the MRI showed nothing, no evidence of stroke ...My Cardiologist did a TEE (which I will never have again since i was WIDE awake! The TEE confirmed the echocardiogram to show the hole. Both specialists are undecided as to close the hole. Neurologist says it's caused by teeth grinding as for the reason for the numbness.

Well, narcotics work wonderfully for the pain, however you can't live life being on narcotics all the time. How would you work/drive/care for your children if your head is clouded by narcotics? I was like you - I had awful pain, started Humira and within a few months felt completely better. I have very severe pain on a relatively frequent basis, about 2 episodes a month. I am on humira and it seems to be helping all the other symptoms but the pain. My gi doc only ever offers antispasmodic meds. The pain I am feel IS NOT cramping...believe me I know what cramping is. Not sure what to do. Any advice would be appreciated. I have injected humira 2 weeks ago and after 3 days developed a itch and cant sleep. will it subside?

My husband has had JRA since he was 7. He is now 27. He had his hips replaced at 16. He has the systemic version of this disease, and it isn't pretty. Last april we spent the entire month in the hospital with pancreatius. He has had his gall bladder removed and is on Creon-10 which from my understanding is a pancreatic enzyme. I guess my question is my hubby has been on prednisone and plaquenil. He takes hydrocodone for pain which is usually severe. The doctor has suggested Humira.

13 years ago I was diagnosed with genital herpes which I contracted from my now ex. I married 8 years ago to a good man with a bad case of Psoriasis. I used to have problems with making it to the bathroom in time which was a horrible feeling, but I havn't had much pain. Since being diagnosed with crohn's I have tried a few different medicine's. The first was Prednisone, then ASA, then another, and finnally Methotrexate and prednisone together which seemed to help tremedously.

he thinks that i will get some help from humira and i am to start that this week. i have done searches but only find info on humira induced lupus, nothing about treating lupus with humira. is anyone on here taking humira for lupus? any advise would be greatly appreciated. thanks!!

s and am now 24. I am currently going through a horrible flare and am on Humira now. I took Remicade to calm down my last flare and it worked wonders when nothing else would. It put me into remission and allowed my body to heal itself. It does lower your immune system, so you can get sick more easily. If you wash your hands and take care of yourself, this shouldnt even be an issue. I would recomend it. It made me feel normal again.
