Avatar f tn You would have the tingling sensation due to irritation of your nerves, It is purely a post operative thing as you have explained, due to change in anatomy and the alignment of your tendons, muscles and with movement you are having this nerve irritation. You should be taught some exercises and strengthening of the muscles in that area to give relief for long term. Your surgeon has to explain all the methods of keeping the pain at bay, and consult a good Physiotherapist.
Avatar f tn I tested this by pushing out on the foot pedal contraption with only my left leg, and I could manage that for a few inches, as it was really tired. When I tried it with my right leg, though, I could barely move at all. So, just as thought, the left leg had been doing all the work.
Avatar m tn There are three layers of muscles in the back -- superficial, intermediate, and deep. The superficial muscles in the area you are describing are trapesius, latissimus dorsi, and the rhombiods (majpr and minor). Intermediate muscles are the serratus, which move the ribs up and down. Deep muscles include a variety of actors. The anatomical musculature of the back is available via an internet search -- "anatomy of dorsal thoracic musculature" will probably get all you need.
1147125 tn?1265114765 My foot seems to twist to almost 90 degree angle when I walk and my leg is also twisting outward to walk?? I dont know why it is doing this. I do have back issues. Can this twisting of my left leg and foot be caused from nerve issues? I have sciatica and thigh pain and calf weakness which is making it hard to walk. I have huge pain in my calf when i put my weight on my left leg. I also have numbness on the right underside of my left foot from heal to big toe.
Avatar f tn But the baby had the legs and feet curled up in between so it could have been the leg or foot bone. I honestly think it looked like a foot bone. I looked up pics of the girl anatomy and none of the pics I seen looked anything like what she showed us. Idk she's the tech I guess but now I gotta wait and see if my doctor will want to take out the ultrasound machine at my next appointment and see if she can get our little love to open his/her legs.
Avatar f tn I just recently experienced a new kind of nerve pain that effected both quadriceps muscles, there was muscle twitching and the muscles felt heavy like bricks, very fatigued and sometimes I felt burning sensations, and a constant tingly, pins and needly sensation, but it did not hurt, it was just extremely uncomfortable. Anyways, I'm just wondering because I have some unexplained "injuries" that could be the result of nerves.
Avatar m tn At the age of 75 how long will it take to regenerate the cells of a broken bone in a foot?
Avatar f tn Yeah I've got two muscles or ligaments that run vertically either side of my belly and they are so painful to touch, even light pressure is quite painful, so when the technician pushed on those bits I kept jumping and yelling! She just learned to avoid them lol. It doesn't damage or hurt baby though, just yourself.
Avatar m tn Sorry I've been away for a while. I took human anatomy and 3 law courses this semester. I don't remember the law courses at all, anatomy is a beast. The cryo ablation worked well. It took about two months for the pain to go away. No complications. It is not a bad proceedure at all, recovery can be strange at times as everything sorts itself out but nothing to worry about if you're having it done.
209987 tn?1451935465 The numbness is sure due to nerve compression and as the anatomy of your foot has changed with the injury. Continue your physiotherapy and you will be fine as your sensations will return back with time. Take care!
Avatar n tn I heard an orthopedic doctor describe the human body as having a giant rubber band from head to toe. https://www.aans.org/Patients/Neurosurgical-Conditions-and-Treatments/Anatomy-of-the-Spine-and-Peripheral-Nervous-System Do you do any stretching?
Avatar f tn thats causing my aches..but it seems like my joints and my muscles are aching so bad. My headaches have gotten better but I don't know why it seems like my muscles are just hurting so bad. I get this weird sensantion in the soles of my feet...almost like the floor is vibrating directly under each foot. Has anyone experienced this before?
Avatar f tn I am 23 years old and have asked in my age group to talk with someone else whos baby has been diagnosed with club foot, but no luck. Just wondering if anyone here is going through what I am?
Avatar m tn ve heard that it leads to the digestive system i.e. stomach. Could you people please tell me the exact anatomy of human nasal cavity with proper reliable medical information. If a small bee gets in your nose will it move to the stomach. Also do our nose consists of any sort of fluid like the wax in ears for killing insects in case they arrive there. Is the brain totally covered by the skull? can any insect crawl up through your nose into your brain?
Avatar f tn weeks They check the spine, heart, kidney, bladder, take measurement of babys size such as skull and I think they do crown to heel measurements rather than crown to rump. Also check foot for Club foot and measure femur bone. They do do a lot of checking but dont worry its precautionary for the most part. Theu do watch the heart beat and examine of course to make sure all os developing correctly. Its actually neat to see the babys spine and heart etc. good luck!
Avatar f tn So there is nothing i can do at all to get my oblique muscle to atrophy? I have stoped doing oblique exercises for about 3-4 months now but still they havent shruken or lost any mass. Its something that anoys me so much being a bodybuilder and all, having thick obliques makes my waist appear wide which is something i do not want. Is there such thing as a cortisol injection or anything? There has to be some way to lose muscle mass in my obliques without losing muscle mass anywere else.
11633924 tn?1420004967 I was told that I am having a baby girl by my specialist, this was confirmed through blood work. However he wants me to do a anatomy scan and I hope I am still having a girl.
Avatar f tn I have been noticing lately that often times, while driving I will get jumping movements in my right leg. My leg and foot are extended to reach the gas pedal. It doesnt hurt when this happens. I just notice that my leg is trembling or jumpy. Is this clonus? Simple muscle fatigue. Doesnt have to be a long drive or extended period of driving for it to occur.
Avatar m tn I've been having constant foot cramps. Podiatrist recommended some stretches and stuff, but also suggested a thyroid test. FT3 is 3.22 (2.57-4.43) FT4 is 1.17 (0.64-1.77) TSH is 4.24 (0.27-4.2) Anti-Tg is 41.14 (1000 (<5.61) So the TSH is just a hair too high, but the anti-TPO is off the chart. Is there a thyroid problem or not? What does this mean? I've got an appointment with an endocrinologist, but I just want to get ahead of the game.
Avatar f tn I recently visited my local clinic with a suspected GW breakout. I've had them before so know that the I have the HPV virus. The nurse told me that these lumps are normal and in fact part of human anatomy. I'm not convinced. Notice the difference between two inner lips. Any help appreciated ty.
Avatar m tn He could have a split in the nail (like when a human breaks a nail down into the quick) and it's very painful for him. He could also have something stuck in the pad that is so small that you can't see it. I had a dog that had a minute piece of glass stuck in his pad and he was 3-legged lame until the vet did actual surgery to remove the glass. I wouldn't give it even a few more days. If he is still tender on it tomorrow I would call the bet by tomorrow afternoon.
Avatar f tn Is there an agreed upon place (butt, back, foot, thigh?) to put the ice pack and/or heating pad to help sciatic nerve pain the most? If not, where has it helped YOU most effectively? I appreciate any and all responses!
Avatar f tn Hey everyone! I need some direction regarding my neck. My surgery was almost 3 years ago. My biggest problem is my neck. I had some PT way back then, but I've never really pulled ahead. I get this terrible fatigue--think holding your arms out straight with gallon jugs in each hand. That burn and then failure due to fatigue is the issue. The feeling really aggravates me...hard to describe, but I can't tolerate it and need a pain pill for relief. A muscle relaxer doesn't do it.
Avatar f tn Hi there. Well, there is a wide range of what is normal when it comes to human anatomy. Unless it is bothering you, I'd just accept him for who he is. If it bothers you, then don't take the relationship any further.
Avatar m tn 5 foot 5 inches and 110 pounds (in American units) is "on the leaner side" and perhaps smaller side compared to most Americans. However, Sri Lanka natives often have genes that predispose you to not being tall, and a diet (vegetarian based) that also limits your height. The good news is your height/weight (and genes/diet) limit your chances of getting Diabetes or Cancer. The bad news is you aren't as tall and filled with muscles as a Viking.
Avatar n tn Hi! Don't be embarassed! Everyone has slight differences in their anatomy. First, read the directions carefully that came with the tampons. As it says, aim the tip toward your back, not straight up or you hit the vaginal wall. I found it easiest to do it while slightly squatting, but you can try with a foot up on the side of the tub or something else. If you are trying to feel where it should go, you would curve your finger up.
Avatar m tn Ankle Pumps With each foot separately or at the same time, point and flex the toes as if pumping the gas pedal of a car repeatedly, 25-50 times every five to 10 minutes. Ankle Circles With each ankle separately or at the same time, rotate the ankles in a large circle about 10 times each direction, 25-50 times every five to 10 minutes. Heel Slides (Knee Flexion) This exercise will promote muscle activity of the hamstrings as well as help increase the amount of knee flexion.
Avatar n tn I had an intial injury to my right foot in April 2010. The injury was sudden and not the product of a determined source (i.e. impact, rolling, twisting). The lateral side of my foot near the 5th metatarsophalangeal joint swelled and bruised immediately. I was unable to seek medical treatment at that time so I rested my foot for 2-3 weeks and the pain dissipated and I was able to return to my usual routine.
