Avatar f tn Unfortunately there really isn't any preventing it although I use a Shea and cocoa butter lotion to help with dry skin and itching. It's a mix between hormones and genetics.
Avatar f tn Use natural oils. I made my own mix of 100% pure shea butter 100% pure cocoa butter and 100% pure coconut oil and mixed some vitamin e oil in there.

8924846 tn?1410572901 Palmers cocoa butter lotion for your while body and palmers tummy butter for you belly. But if your gonna get stretch marks you will get them even using that stuff. I've been using it since 12 weeks.
Avatar f tn I did...you have to keep your body very mositurized! Shea butter and Palmer's Coco Butter lotion worked for me. I used it twice a day and haven't had anymore issues with dry skin!
Avatar f tn s cocoa butter formula massage lotion for stretch marks with vitamin E, Collagen, elastin, and shea butter. I also use along with that palmer's body butter. It's in a jar. I use the lotion everywhere the put the butter on afterwards to get the important areas twice. Note the body butter is greasy but the bomb!
Avatar f tn Shea Butter! It's very thick and works wonders. Also use coconut oil! I haven't gotten any this pregnancy!

Avatar f tn Followed up with Palmers coco butter stretch mark lotion. I hate dry skin, the combination of those three keep me hydrated and itch free all day. I know you can use the superfruit shea moisture products during pregnancy but a lot of the others you should stay away from because of some of the oils being potentually harmful during pregnancy.
9616417 tn?1404867488 Very possible.... there's a lot of garbage in it to be honest. I use Vaseline cocoa and Shea butter lotion. It has very few and safe ingredients.
Avatar f tn I use Olay Shea butter bar soap. I moisturize with St.Ives Collagen lotion and add Palmers Shea Butter on top of it. I know stretch marks are gonna happen, but try to stay mositurized and well hydrated.

Avatar n tn m 20 weeks and have been using palmers tummy butter on breasts, tummy, hips, butt and also jergens Shea butter lotion since I found out. So far so good. I have a few marks on my hip that i got after the freshman 15 gain and then loss in college. They had faded, so I'm hoping after birth they'll fade again.
Avatar f tn I recommend shea butter. Its made from the nut of a tree found in Africa. Many products today have it as an ingredient, much like aloe vera. You can buy pure shea butter over the internet. The pure variety works wonders on dry skin, I really don't think there's anything better. Supposedly it has some healing qualities and has many uses.
Avatar f tn I am using cocoa butter oil after every shower and cocoa butter lotion during the day. Plus other expensive "dry skin" lotions. Anything better you guys use or have any ideas how to keep it under control!? Its awful, constantly itchy and dry.
Avatar f tn I'm on my 3rd baby with no stretch marks. I use coco butter and Shea butter. All natural not the bottles of lotion the actual natural butters from a Jamaican shop.
