Avatar m tn They can remove the cysts surgically, I've had it done twice . A friend of mine who is older and going thru menopause has been seeing an herbalist which is able to relieve her hormonal symptoms naturally vs taking HRT. She has had bad side effects from them in the past. Best of luck!!
Avatar f tn I had 5 lg ovarian cysts that my dr. (OBGYN fertility) wanted to surgically remove from my uterus. I had a friend tell me about CASTER OIL as a remedy for naturally removing the cysts by using "cold pressed caster oil compresses". I tried this and it worked !!!- it actually removed all 5 of my cysts!! Now my doctor is upset with me. Saying it's not safe. Really and surgery is?? People have use caster oil since Before Christ. Why is this not safe?
Avatar f tn t have regular cycles it could be next to impossible to try to conceive in a few months. They give the birth control to get rid of the cysts and get your cycles regular. I suggest getting on the BC. While I was on it I had no cysts at all and my cycles became regular. I had very heavy and long cycles before I got on BC and after they are normal and regular.
Avatar n tn I agree with Cindy that it is very unlikely to be Ovarian Cancer. However, young girls do get cysts. Actually cysts are very very common in young premenopausal women and 95 % benign. You may want to check the top right of this page; "Health Pages" . It has a lot of information about cysts . Of course we don't know if she even has cysts. And.. we're not Drs. here.. She really needs to be seen my by a Gyn. It could be one of many things.
Avatar n tn It is much better to be cautious than for something to come up later that needed attention. You have to be HONEST with your gyn so she will know how to treat you. Good luck.
1156733 tn?1262479295 It is possible ovaries cannot be saved due to damage from cysts and/or damage that could be the result of surgery to remove cysts. Be prepared for the possibility. Triggering surgical menopause now (without HRT) might be the end result. You can insist on them saving at least one ovary (if possible), but cysts can return, requiring more surgery in the future, often more complex due to adhestions/scar tissue from the prior surgery. One ovary is enough to delay menopause.
Avatar f tn With the high testosterone and glucose levels as well as the ovarian cysts, it's possible she could have Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) which is a metabolic disorder of insulin resistance. Cystic ovaries are a common manifestation of this disorder. The typical presentation of ovarian cysts associated with PCOS is a strand of pearls which cannot always be differentiated as separate cysts on ultrasound. These types of cysts do not require treatment.
Avatar n tn If your just trying on your own naturally I think it will be difficult to conceive the months you have the cysts but like mentioned in previous post once your onto a cycle without cysts it will be easier to conceive. Good luck to you!
Avatar f tn Hello, Given your family history of ovarian cancer, it is important that the ovarian cyst has been sent for biopsy. Ovarian cysts are considered for removal if they cause pain or have tendency to become malignant or there is elevated CA125. Do not take undue stress as biopsy of the ovarian cyst is in your welfare only. It may be just a precautionary measure by the surgeon because your mother had history of ovarian cancer.
498596 tn?1210700259 can show growth, masses, cysts, whatever you want to call them....but they cannot tell if they are cancerous or not. Being scanned every 4 months will give the doctors a good picture of what is going on inside, but, even being scanned cannot prevent a diagnosis of OvCa.
Avatar f tn Since I very much refuse and will be refusing contraceptives , how else naturally can I cure ovarian cysts? 2. Can acidic taste in my mouth with coating on my tongue and lower back pain be due to pancreatic cyst?
Avatar f tn I wasn't sure which board to post to. I had three ovarian cysts, one was 14cm. I had them removed by laparoscopy, but the surgeon ended up having to make a lower abdominal incision to get the biggest cyst out and repair my ovaries (also the cyst ruptured during removal I was told). I went home the next day, then returned to the hospital 3 days later with severe abdominal pain and fever. I was diagnosed with a pelvic abscess and severe infection.
483733 tn?1326798446 PCOS - polycystic ovarian syndrome is NOT the same as an ovarian cyst problem. It is a separate disorder and there is a separate forum to discuss how this problem is managed. We do not know much about it ourselves. Ovarian Cancer - also a very complicated disease to diagnose and treat. There is an ovarian cancer forum where some of the most remarkable ladies in the world can help you. There is also an expert forum where doctors answered a select number of questions.
Avatar n tn It is possible to get rid of smaller ovarian cysts, like yours, naturally through a naturopath with homeopathic remedies. I did this years ago. Also be mindful of your diet, there is a link between insulin resistance and ovarian cysts. It is best to stay away from processed white flour products like bread and pasta, and the worst culprit is of course sugar.
1872158 tn?1320302628 Hello Indah I am actually 14 years old and I have been dealing with ovarian cysts since I was 10 years old. There is no real cure for ovarian cysts but waiting it out until they naturally burst which can be very very painful. There are some solutions to it, doctors say for females the cysts occur because of our monthly cycle, its never too late to take birth control which is one of the solutions to cysts but it all depends on the person.
1289166 tn?1285255967 I have had ovarian surgery in the past for cysts. It is to my understanding you get them when you are ovulating and they usually dissolve when you get your period. But some women's bodies can't dissolve them and that is when they can become problematic. I have not used clomid I would ask the fertitliy forum I'm sure one of the women over there has some experience you could also ask the dr forum too. I wish I could be more help.
Avatar f tn While surgery is used to treat all stages of ovarian cancer and has been shown to result in a higher success rate, additional diagnostic tests may be requested to check for surgical indication. Take care and regards.
1279767 tn?1277229374 I think it's definitely worth looking into as a possibility as to why you've had difficulty getting pregnant. Ovarian cysts can delay or stop ovulation all together. If I were you, I would look at seeing a Dr, if you are concerned about it. Also, it takes a fully fertile couple up to a year of really trying to get pregnant..so don't give up!
Avatar n tn I just wanted to mention that the Ovarian Cysts Community forum is actually separate from the Ovarian Cysts Expert forum. It is rather confusing and I didn't want you to be waiting for doctor Goodman's reply and not understand if she doesn't respond to you. If you would like to hear from the doctor, go to the forum main page and click on the expert forum under Ovarian Cysts, which is on the right hand side of the page. Good luck.
Avatar f tn Nabothian cysts are fluid filled cysts that occur on the cervix (the opening to the uterus). I have a few of them, as well as a history of ovarian cysts and a dermoid that is going to be surgically removed in a few weeks time. Nabothian cysts are different from ovarian cysts in that you don't need surgery but you can have your doctor do an internal exam and biopsy them.
Avatar f tn I went to see and endocrinologist because my last reading was 4.68 and I keep having issues with ovarian cysts. My GYN wanted to make sure it was not PCOS because my sister has it. My other sister is hypothyroid and she is active and states that she feels awful when her TSH is greater than 2. I am just wondering if some are more sensitive to hormone fluctuations than others? I have never had an issue with ovarian cysts or fatigue before. This is not me...
Avatar n tn I suffer from ovarian cysts. I have talked to several gynos an all of them jave told me that if you suffer from ovarian cysts that they can actually burst and most of the time you wont even know they burst because they burst during your period. I dont have it every month but i do have it every couple months. They isnt much they can do except treat the pain if your have cysts unless they are very big. These can be found by getting a simple an quick ultrasound.
