See your doctor for a topical retinoid called Differin (adapalene 0.1%). This is very good at dealing with blackheads and acne. Should I stop using the gel? My main concern is that the acne will return as bad as before. I know also that if I stop using it, and I break out, it'll take weeks when I'm back on the gel to start seeing results.
Also, how comes I still have blackheads if I'm using the prescribed gel?
You know what, I think blackheads can do that. There is like a bottom part to the top part which is hard and dark (which I read was the other stuff just turned dark due to air). I have gone ahead and ordered the Paulas Choice 2% BHA lotion which is supposed to be great for blackheads, pores and blemishes, so will see how this goes..

Are my pores that big that they are able to contain dirt? I’ve tried using different acne products to see if it was the acne solutions that were causing it, but even when using different products, I still get the black spots.
I looked at a similar question on here regarding someone having black specs on their face, and someone said it was chromhidrosis. But I don't believe I have that, my black spots don’t "ooze" or anything...
Before these scars were on my face, I had blackheads. And I have to admit, I did pick on them and squeezed the heck out of them. I am 28 years old and I have been hoping for years that my acne and bad skin is going to clear up as I get older and grow out of it. Yeah, they are definitely blackheads. My husband gets them on his inner thighs, too. If you squeeze them, they'll come out and go away.
It will break open and then come back. Yesterday, while at work it felts sore, so I went to the bathroom to take a look. It turns out I now have several of these bumps on the front of my waist (around where my belt line is) and little black dots that almost look like blackheads. Last night I put rubbing alcohol on one of them and it immediately burst open. Today, they are sore and itch.

try using the sunbeds or sun shower for a few minutes a couple of times a week along with this cut out alcohol and chocolate from your diet and stock up on fruit and veg this will help the blackheads clear. Once they have cleanse,tone and moisturise morning and night to keep them at bay. sounds like obvious advice but it really does work!!
He did recently start using Proactive again, and he washes with a soft facial brush and Cetaphil lotion, and the blackheads do look better, but are still very much there. What do you think of the Clarisonic face brush one poster suggested? I read quite a number of reviews on it, and most people seem to think it works wonders. Thank you again for taking the time...
Ive lived with acne my whole life. Im 19 years old and I feel like Im never going to have a beautiful face. All my life ive felt insecure and ashamed to look people in the face. Ive talked to my doctor about it, and all she does is proscribe me things that never work. Ive tried most of the products that I can afford. I was just wondering if anyone out there has found a good product that may be helpful. Im willing to try pretty much anything. Thank you.
