Avatar n tn Hi im on my 18weeks and i would just like to kno if its ok to ride in a motorcycle??? I used to ride in a motorcycle if we need to go somewhere near.. is it allowed ot not..many thanks..
Avatar n tn The actual riding of the bike is not a threat to the baby. Im not a doctor and this is just speaking generally. But i quit riding my bike when I was about 8 months and got all tired and icky feeling and my belly was starting to get bigger...
Avatar f tn Im 33w +2 and have been researching online if its okay to take a short motorcycle ride (passanger). Of course theres always a risk pregnant or not and a lot of people online still ride after 30w. So I was just wondering if any of you are still riding? Or have you put it off for the summer?
Avatar f tn hi, i asked my doctor a similar question when i was pregnant but it was about riding a push bike and he strongly recommended that i didnt because it puts presure on your pelvis and can cause problems and as meccah24 said it is extremely dangerous
Avatar f tn re entire body is exposed to that much danger vs a car which could protect you from a low impact hit. One of our policemen died after a low speed crash (15 mph) because a piece of metal slashed his main artery in his leg. He bled out. Kind of a freak accident. I used to ride moped and the moped hydroplaned in a parking lot puddle of rainwater and oil and I broke my hands bracing my fall. Not fun but definitely not safe if you are carrying a baby.
Avatar f tn Since my diagnosis obviously I quit racing becuase it is very jarring and theres a good chance of crashing... but can I still ride a motorcycle on the street? I have not had surgery nor do I plan to unless it becomes obviously necessary. My current symptoms suck but are manageable/tolerable and I can live with them. I miss racing... but its too dangerous.. i know that. Just wondering if i can still go for a motorcycle ride?
Avatar m tn On the other hand, it is also possible he may have discovered you had some C7-T1 nerve injury, which controls the muscle dexterity of the hands and fingers and the flexion in the wrist, and thus holding onto the handlebars of a motorcycle would not be reliable.
968661 tn?1284480920 When I was 10 weeks I skipped a ski trip not because of the skiing, but if I were to crash or fall it could cause problems. Just my two cents.

163305 tn?1333668571 they are doing nothing to change the current structure of the police force. In fact they continue to militarize our police force. It is very frightening to me. http://www.truthdig.
Avatar f tn I have had several miscarriages and my dr has said no to even riding our riding mower to cut the grass! No go carts 4 wheelers jeeps or anything that may risk me falling or bouncing around too much. But with my son, my first pregnancy, I went fishing off shore and rode tractors and had no issues. He is 3 1/2 and healthy as can be. But if your husband simply doesn't understand maybe have him go to a dr appt with you and let the dr explain why this is a bad idea.
Avatar m tn I was riding my motorcycle one evening, so i hit a man who was pushing a cart. I was injured by the cart but the injury wasn't deep and didn't bleed for long. Am Afraid if by any chance there was blood in the wooden cart which i was injured with, does that means am posed for a risk for hiv??
Avatar n tn Riding is a lifestyle choice, that you agreed to, Riding is a lifestyle choice that a percentage of people make. Many people base their decisions about risky business like riding, or flying, etc. on the side of caution. Some people choose not to fly anymore because of the possible risk of terrorism and some people believe that going for it and living to enjoy one's life, is more important to them.
1303966 tn?1296740010 Just the thought of riding a lawnmower or motorcycle is giving me a HA. I know that any kind of motion (car or bus ride) over a period will knock me out for the day.
Avatar f tn Dee I think you should definitely push to get seen by the hepatologist as soon as possible. I see no upside in waiting and instead I see a possible risk. I believe that you can get your PCP to comply if you make your case clear to him - just be a strong but reasonable advocate. About his platelet count: My understanding is that <50,000 platelet count triggers some reservations about certain medical procedures and most doctors consider <30,000 to be a dangerous level.
Avatar f tn Talk this over with your parents so they can get you therapy to learn how to break free of this fear. Good luck and take care!
Avatar n tn I have had a toothache/facepain for over two weeks, I know I need to go and see a dentist but I have a great fear of going because of cetain circumstances that happened while going to the dentist as a child. I have been taking advil for the pain and most times it is tolerable but now it seems to be getting worse as it is keeping me awake at night.
1324185 tn?1274722949 controlling behaviors have surfaced, and continue to get worse. Of course facebook is not helping the situation - anytime a male friend comments on one of my post or photos my fiancee starts asking me 20 questions about who this person is; under the guise of being curious, but why is it that he never asks about my female friends. I need to check in with him anyplace I go, or he will ping me for a check in on latitude.
Avatar n tn Hello all, It's my first post on here so please bare with me. Today I fell off my motorcycle... in Vietnam (I know, I know). No broken bones but lots of grazing and cuts, one of which required 6 stitches.
Avatar f tn reading about it dont help it will just heighten your anxiety, the recorded deaths are tragic, but in comparrison to the success rate of themit do put it in to a prospective, just tell your fears to the person who is going to give you the needle ask any questions you need to ask and remember they cannot force you to have anything done that you dont wish to have done.
7720624 tn?1402712283 I bought a motorcycle in August last year took riding classes at Harley! Which was Awesome!! Now Riding season is here and my bike just sits! The nicer the weather gets the more upset I get and now I'm actually crying damn hormones!
228686 tn?1211554707 re on a motorcycle, you become a part of a community. Going to the biker meets is like a family experience. Yound guys on sportsters, elderly grandmothers and grandfathers touring on goldwings... it's *alot* of fun. But I'm wary of drving in NYC again. I've driven all over and NYC is just not a safe city to be on a motorcycle.
230262 tn?1316645934 Ive been taking the kids for long nature walks in the woods too which is something I had cut to a minimum out of fear of my back too. No more. Im tired of robbing myself of things. It felt so good to get up on that dirtbike and kick the starter and whip around the trails! Its like i never forgot how to ride, still can work a clutch fine, still can shift, balance, corner and go fast lol. No hill jumping for me though!
Avatar m tn I honestly don't know how to overcome it. Less traumas.... Wear motorcycle helmets, wear car seatbels, etc. No drugs, alcohol.... sounds good to me.
