fear

590280 tn?1310087366 i stay away from anyone or anyplace that is likely to be using, buying or selling. i try to stay close to people who are serious about recovery. i remember how bad it can get, and i haven't forgotten how to pray. oxycontin was my best friend to the tune of 600-800 mg a day as was alcohol. my best friend almost killed me and i saw it kill others, only after it took away their dreams, relationships and dignity and reduced them to empty shells of what they once were.
Avatar f tn Talk this over with your parents so they can get you therapy to learn how to break free of this fear. Good luck and take care!
Avatar m tn their is no chance of HIV without condom breakage...to overcome your fears ...take a test....taking a test can come out of fear 99% than googing...
Avatar m tn I am afraid I stepped on a syringe(iI know you are thinking this is crazy but yea damn OCD) I know this fear is ocd but I am trying to think of facts to confront this fear with,it worked with fear of HIV and oral sex.
Avatar f tn To be honest, it makes me feel bad to hide this from my husband but if I have to get professional help, I will have to tell him. I would like to see how far I can go by managing this by myself before I think I am falling off the wagon again. Then maybe I do have to tell him. I would like to tell you that I am very appreciative of your response. It is not everyday that I get to talk about this with someone.
Avatar n tn I have been taking advil for the pain and most times it is tolerable but now it seems to be getting worse as it is keeping me awake at night. My question is how did anyone overcome their fear of going to the dentist and is there some kind of home remedy I can take for this toothache any input would be appreciated Thanks!!
Avatar f tn reading about it dont help it will just heighten your anxiety, the recorded deaths are tragic, but in comparrison to the success rate of themit do put it in to a prospective, just tell your fears to the person who is going to give you the needle ask any questions you need to ask and remember they cannot force you to have anything done that you dont wish to have done.
Avatar m tn Agreed. But some of these fears can be overcome. Puppies and chicks tend to be fast moving. Find the right kind of puppy at a pound or store, and I bet his response will be different.
Avatar f tn Rachel, Noami, Miriam, Ruth, Esther, Delilah, Jordan, etc. Typically anything 'biblical' is gonna be Hebrew. If you're looking for Hebrew names that aren't biblically related Google will probably be your best friend.
Avatar m tn I have no idea how to help you overcome your apparently severe ticklishness, perhaps therapy would offer some useful insight. I don't know how often you are approached by people wielding a "vibration device," but I would try yelling, in a very loud and forceful tone of voice "NO!" Or "STOP! I DO NOT LIKE THAT!
Avatar f tn Chronic anxiety, social phobias, post-traumatic stress syndrome, etc. are normal parts of the day-to-day life, and it is necessary to learn how to get rid of them rather than living with them. It's normal to get anxious before addressing a group of people or stress out before your first meeting with a new client.
Avatar f tn I mean I can masturbate to them without a problem, but as soon as I’m done all the doubt just starts to set in again. I’m trying, I swear to go I’m trying to just calm myself and not react to anything but it feels helpless. There are more important things going on in the world right now it seems unfair that being gay is all I think about. Please, if you have any advice I’ll be glad to listen.
Avatar f tn I am sorry you are going through this. In my experience, anxiety and panic can be very confusing and scary at first. Have you ever got help through counseling? I know for me just learning about it, made it much more easy to confront. In my opinion, we tend to fear things we don't understand, but with a little knowledge it can shed some light on the issues.
1390847 tn?1344657468 I have learned that facing your fear is the best way to overcome it, you'll learn that the only thing to really fear about vomiting is the fear itself. I can only base this on my own experiences. Before I had children I had a horrible fear of seeing someone after they've fallen and hit their head and I would run the other way. I had my first child and he fell on the side walk and my first instinct was to run but this was my little boy and his well being meant more to me than my fear.
Avatar f tn I have no real reason to be scared but I just always fear that I will get bad news,... But if u plan to keep the baby you have to do it.just try not to think about it, and get it over with.once yo do it, it will be done and you will just need to try to relax and wait. It's better to be safe than sorry anyways. Most likely your totally fine and Once u do it you won't have to worry about again.
Avatar f tn They think im overreacting but Im genuinely afraid of labor and failure at parenting. I dont know what to expect, I dont know how to be a mom, I dont know how to deal with pain, Im just so clueless and it scares me to death. How do I calm down?! How did any of you first time moms deal with the fear?! I just want to be excited like everyone else but Im too overwhelmed to be positive. How do I cope with the fear?!?
Avatar n tn I had a traumatic experience when I was a young child which left me with the fear of uncontrolled bleeding. I have attempted to overcome this fear through therapy and work in medical and dental offices. However, it returns to paralyze me at times. I need a molar extracted due to an abcess and the fear of bleeding has returned. I have had extractions in the past and obviously I survived but the anxiety continues to be huge.
1664673 tn?1303042173 I remember how excited I was on my first day at law school, and I remember the agony of how long I had to wait to see if I passed the bar. That was a walk in the park compared as to what I am going through now. Everyone on this site says that thing will get better and I believe them and I believe in myself. I believe in you and I think that you believe in yourself as well so please what ever you do stay on the straight and narrow and things will have a way of working themselves out.
Avatar f tn I am going through this. I have ocd.
