8762956 tn?1406308357 I didn't do anything to lose the weight at first but once I decided to put in the effort I was able to lose the weight quickly and healthily while breast feeding. Work out when you can, and I used the my fitness pal app. You need to tweak it some because of breastfeeding you shouldn't go under 1600 calories a day, but it can track your calories and if you follow it diligently you will lose the weight. Hard boiled eggs were my go to.
1324287 tn?1274730647 would really like to talk to a dietician regularly but with the one i went to last time i only saw her every couple of months, so perhaps talking to someone a bit more regularly will be better?
1462044 tn?1448398336 From the time I started dating my boyfriend (end of August 2007) to the day I signed up for this website (beginning of September 2010) I hadn't weighed myself. My doctor had, but I never paid much attention to what she told me about my weight. The day I signed up on this site was when I got on the scale just to see and realized I had gained 40lbs in 3 years. (I later got a new scale and realized it had been 50lbs, not 40lbs.) That's when my weight loss journey started.
Avatar n tn I'm really hesitant to go back there! But I'm sick of feeling so incredibly bloated and FAT. I've been trying to lose weight since my 5th child 2 years ago and all of a sudden all my hard work has flown out the window. This is ridiculous!
Avatar f tn I put 5lbs back on whilst on a holiday but i am now 10 weeks pregnant, eating healthily, 3 meals a day with healthy snacks in between (the odd bag of crisps or chocolate bar) and i am now 8lbs lighter than when i found out i was pregnant. Could this be healthy weight loss due to healthy eating as i am a bit overweight anyways, or is it unhealthy for the baby as i know in pregnancy your meant to gain weight?!
594189 tn?1386920207 Let's break this up further 11 weeks - 78 pounds to lose 1 Week - nearly 7 pounds to lsoe 1 day - 1 pound to lose I think this is asking for too much and too much stress on you, This 78 pound weight loss is achievable but it is going to take more than 11 weeks. The recommended amount would be 1-2 pounds a week. I am sure everyone have different view points but having worked over two years with weight loss e-patients I know it is going to be very difficult.
Avatar n tn The exercises that I do, are what people do to actually LOSE WEIGHT. Being hypo, I have to do this much only to maintain. I would like to have the OPTION of weight loss if I want as I'm SURE YOU UNDERSTAND THAT ONE!! P.S. Again, I stress to you that I certainly hope you do NOT have the hypothyroid condition & they can help you with the weight loss in other ways, but I let mine go for so long because I didn't have true symptoms other than weight issues either.
Avatar f tn My babys are born healthy and within 3 months of giving birth I'm back to my prepregnancy weight. Its NEVER a good idea to lose weight while pregnant. And any dr that tells you its ok to lose weight is a FOOL. If your not over weight gaining 35lbs is normal. Its very selfish to deprive yourself during a time when you are nuturing another life. You are not your friend and every pregnancy is different. This is the worse possible time for you to consider losing weight.

Avatar f tn Lindsey Tanner, AP Medical Writer showing 1 of 7 photos 7/12/11 CHICAGO — Should parents of extremely obese children lose custody for not controlling their kids' weight? A provocative commentary in one of the nation's most distinguished medical journals argues yes, and its authors are joining a quiet chorus of advocates who say the government should be allowed to intervene in extreme cases. It has happened a few times in the U.S.
Avatar n tn If you are a person who has tried to lose weight though calorie control and exercise, but have failed, you should try Metformin. Or if you have metabolic syndrome (stomach fat, high blood pressure, diabetes and high cholesterol) you should as well. Start of with low dosages (the extended release pills with meals are best to start with). Lastly, I can not stress enough that Metformin needs to be combined with regular exercise to produce any noticeable benefit.
Avatar n tn Hi i had a hystorectomy in Feb 2007, The surgeon ( who i now call the bucher!) told me that i had to have my cervix & ovarys removed at the same time because if we left them there was a high chance i would develope cancer in them. ( the reason i was having a hystorectomy was because i was bleeding heavely almost every month.) Well during the opperation the Bucher put a stitch through the left tube leading from my left kidney to my bladder.
Avatar n tn I am now doind 10 sessions in 5 days at the gym and have lost 44lbs in 8 months,I have to work harder than everyone else to lose the weight but it's worth it,I still need to lose about 80lbs.

Avatar f tn I really need to know, i'm the only one that works here in my office (it's a company that has two venues) and I do 'everything' and there's NO replacement or stand in. I'm not even sure how my boss is going to handle this news, but HEY, it's my health and it comes first! Please advise ASAP! P.S. I really liked the idea of 'pre-making & freezing' meals, this way I don't have to rely on hubby for that. As for the 'constriction' after surger....
162948 tn?1205256292 Has anyone had the Mirena IUD and had it removed to ttc. I am just curious how long it took you to conceive after Mirena IUD removal? How long until your menstrual cylces were regular? I got my IUD out on Aug 5th and am ttc. I have had lots of spotting and maybe a period but nothing regular. I called my doc and they said that it takes 3 months before the hormones are out of your system. The mirena website makes it sound as though you can get pregnant anytime after removal.
Avatar f tn you tend to lose inches more than wait as long as your body is shrinking you are doing great
1253197 tn?1331212710 I am wondering if this is to do with drugs as I have honestly been eating healthily and trying to limit saturated fats to help me lose weight. Perhaps I am on the drug and this is a side effect and my liver has been affected. Who knows I am a very amateur MS'er with no medical knowledge. So will report back next week what my Consultant thinks..hope he does not suggest statins...I am not keen on the idea. Hoever I do feel concern that my cholestral is high and the old arteries may be suffering.
1701183 tn?1307243074 I'm trying to lose the weight the right way. I am eating healthily and have started working out daily.Which for me is a huge increase in physical activity. I have an office job so exercise wasnt something I went out of my way to do. I'm not following a fad diet either, just eating right. I have been doing a lot of cardio training and always follow that up with light weight training. I have been targeting my heart rate to 80-90% of my max heart rate. For the first 11 days I lost about 2 pounds.
662291 tn?1250214387 I don't have anyone to turn to. What am I supposed to do? I want to tell myself that it's just a phase but I know that it's not. I can't stop it and I'm scared that it's starting to control my life. My hair is getting thinner and I'm bruising more easily. I don't want people to see it but at the same time I do. I want someone to care enough about me to intervene. I want to be healthy. I want to feel good about myself. I want to be happy.
413852 tn?1317312312 We're going to wait a month or two before trying again, but I want to keep up on how everyone else here is doing! Also want to learn more about some of these ART's and stim medications, as I might be there sooner than later! I saw my new RE today and I LOVE her! She is sharp, thorough, kind, patient, and every other great adjective there is! I could tell she really wants to get to the bottom of my recurrent chemical pregnancies.
1253197 tn?1331212710 Sunday 30 May 2011 Well I have been in a relapse for two weeks and thought it would be of interest to others and also helpful to me to reflect on how it is affecting me. This is the first relapse I have experienced since being on the oral drug trial (the drug is similar to Gilenya and supposed to reduce relapses by 60%). I came back to UK from a wonderful holiday in Sydney, Australia on Wednesday 11 May.
Avatar f tn Do you see what I was referring to? Yes, it causes weight loss, but also makes it MUCH easier to gain which leads to the cycle you were stuck in. I agree with your advice. A dietitian could really be useful, and yes even a therapist because disordered eating isn't about the food. Did that all make sense? Thanks and I hope you are doing okay Kimidawn. I know it's hard. I'm in recovery and it's the most difficult thing I've ever had to do, and probably ever will have to do.
