Avatar f tn This show really moves me because 1). the transformations are incredible and 2). these people NEED to lose serious weight (we're talking close to 400lb people). Hubby didn't want to watch but ended up being really intrigued by the show. I think this is going to be THE season to watch if you don't watch it. I'm a personal fan of their techniques and attitudes (I LOVE Jillian's in-your-face-no-BS attitude!). Okay, that's my spiel! What are your thoughts?
Avatar f tn Actually I am watching American Idol. I haven't watched in a few weeks. I watch the biggest loser every now and then. Maybe no one else responded because they are watching it. haha. =) I am watching this, on here, and cleaning in between. I'm crazy.
Avatar f tn The show The Biggest Loser shows how much weight it is possible to lose in a week, and at most, these people eating a strict diet of mostly vegetables and exercising like crazy, these people lose between 2 and 10 lb a week. Not every week is the higher number, so it probably averages about 6 lb a week. 6 x 8 weeks is 48 lb. But unless you don't work, you don't have time to exercise as much as they do.
Avatar f tn You can't lose 45 pounds by March unless you starve yourself.
1056865 tn?1325808785 I watch the show religiously and I balled like a baby!!! When she was talking to Jillian in the gym...the tear show started and I was crying up until the end of the show! Abby is by far the strongest woman....she's amazing. I was so sad to see her go, but she's got the biggest heart out of anyone there. I wish her the best and all the happiness in the world!
Avatar f tn Fast workouts aren't always the answer. Walking is an excellent exercise; it will tone up your belly, legs, hips, thighs, so cellulite isn't so obvious. Aim for at least 30 minutes/day, but more if you have time (minimum 30 min/day, 3 days/week). You don't have to run or job, just go at a good brisk clip. If you carry a resistance band, you can work your arms, shoulders, back all at the same time. Yoga is also good for toning, tightening.
Avatar n tn As person who has borderline sleep apnea I have noticed that the sleep apnea is less noticeable when I've lost some weight. At this time I personally would be doing myself a favor by losing 20-30 pounds. My question to you is 'Are you overweight?' If so, you may want to look into some diet changes so you can lose the weight. I personally found the reality show 'The Biggest Loser' very informative, however I've struggled with getting motivated to lose the weight.
Avatar f tn Because I am so young (barely a teen) I find it hard to burn off the few pounds I need.
Avatar f tn The less weight you have to lose the harder it is to shift so the stricter you have to be with yourself - good luck and keep on going :)
Avatar f tn I'm barely a teen and am looking to lose my "carry on luggage" but it seems impossible to drop the few pounds.
Avatar f tn There is no way to loose that much weight in a couple of months. Dont get discouraged. Im the biggest in my whole family, including nephews nieces cousins and siblings. It is hard and makes me feel bad and depressed but we have to keep going in a healthy way.
614343 tn?1258041519 Yes, I have one and I love it. The only thing I don't like about it, is that once you get used to the routine, it's pretty slow paced. I do like being able to track my weight and "Wii Fit" age --- because it always shows that I'm "younger" and in better shape than my 60 yrs would imply. It's good for starting out, but once you get used to the exercises, it's not much of a challenge.
740456 tn?1260449809 haha ya football is my life.....but anyways it all depends really....you can lose more than three pounds if you are doing it in a healthy manner without depriving yourself, making yourself vomit,etc.....if you've ever seen that show called The Biggest Loser, they usually lose 10-20 lbs a week! granted all are very much obese so that much weight is nothing...but in our case we will probably only lose 1-3 lbs because we are on the smaller side......
193609 tn?1292180293 I do not yet have the Wii or this new Biggest Loser game that you are referring to, but I am curious to see how others like this game and/or the Wii in general. Now that I am a basically indoor person, this might give me another valuable tool in my arsenal. Once it is saved for and purchased, at any rate.
Avatar f tn Losing weight slowly and gradually is the healthiest way to go about it. It may seem like it's taking forever, but if you lose weight slowly, it's more likely you'll keep it off. What do you mean by "special diets", exactly? I would NOT suggest a fad diet at all, because those don't work long term. Making healthy choices is a lifestyle change!
Avatar f tn Would you like to lose many lbs? I may suggest you to try weight loss pills, but depending on your condition there are many brands you can try... If you give me more details about you, I would try to suggest you a certain brand.
116760 tn?1220755069 I chew the Fiber Choice tablets daily they supress your appetite.I just need more advice on what to do to help.I have until December 5th to lose weight.I am on team with 2 others at work there are 4 teams in all.The team that loses the most weight wins $960.00 that we will have to split.
Avatar f tn I am not sure how this forum works, but if it is like the others it's just to meet people going through similar situations and finding support. That being said my name is Heather and I am 28 years old. I am 5'5 and gained close to 40 lbs during my pregnancy. I was at a healthy/normal weight prior to pregnancy and have between 12-15lbs to lose.
Avatar m tn have been telling people with a lot of weight to lose to do extreme calorie restriction, but now people who have lost the weight have gained a lot of back through no fault of their own, and then can't lose the weight in the same way that worked in the past. It is very frustrating and I'm sorry you have to deal with this. The only other thing I can think to recommend is to change your normal exercise regime every so often.
Avatar f tn Wow, what a great idea, and it sounds like a fun way to lose weight. I think a little competition is good. But, it's probably not fair with your withdrawal/weight loss. (Smile) You have a great attitude, and at this point attitude is everything. Take care, and good luck!
750946 tn?1270288132 I got that dvd today - Biggest Loser - Yoga for Weight Loss..........I watched it on the computer just to see what it's like. Tomorrow, I will actually do a work out. A lot of the poses are also on the Wii Fit, so I'm familiar with them. The difference is that Wii Fit stops after each pose and takes quite a while, where this dvd goes right on through, from one pose to another............I'm going to like it, I think.
