Avatar m tn This time she gave me low amount of vitamin e cream and sensitive cream for me to apply on my face. Few days later, I noticed there is a bigger pore due to the acne extraction. Also my left and right cheek became inflamed and flaky. Am I being cheated by them? Should I go back to ask for clarification? Or go to see dermatologist?

Avatar f tn My mom was thinking about to take me to the doctor just to check up on my health when I got my period soon after, so we never ended up going. It has been pretty irregular- I've gone up to three months in between periods and a couple of times, I've gotten it twice in a month (usually 5 days each time). They're usually pretty painful the first two days, and I break out a lot before and during.

Avatar f tn Hello, Acne is due to an overactivity and plugging of the oil glands. Just keep you face clean by washing with a mild soap like dove or Cetaphil atleast twice a day. Pat it dry and do not rub it. Avoid picking or pressing the acne. I hope it helps. Take care and regards.

Avatar n tn m a 31 year old female). My work has me face to face with many people per day and I feel your pain in how embarassing this condition is. I have also been to a dermatologist and many GPs and they keep saying it's acne - but I don't think it is. It develops exactly how you described, and takes pretty much 8 weeks to the day to heal. I have short periods where there are no lesions, and at other times have anywhere from 1 to 5 of them.
Avatar n tn I wash face twice a day with my normal face wash. Also I use a sulfer face mask by acne free. Lush has good face masks too my favorite is magaminty mask that has a cooling mint feeling.
Avatar n tn Also refrain from touching or squeezing your shoulder acne. Also try to keep your hair free of dandruff by using good antidandruff shampoos. You can also apply benzoyl peroxide creams or clindamycin cream on the acne. If the symptoms persist, then oral antibiotics may be needed and cystic acne need to be ruled out .Please consult a dermatologist then.
Avatar f tn Last week, I woke up in the morning to find that my forehead was very red and very itchy. I didn't know what cause it, but I put plenty of moisturizers on it and by the afternoon, it had all but disappeared. This happened again yesterday, over a smaller area of my face, but didn't cause me too much discomfort. Today, though, it is all over my face and the itchiness is driving me crazy.
304970 tn?1331425994 I know there have been a number of posts, but did anyone suggest anything that works and is safe? My face and (t.m.i.) back are disgusting... I have NEVER had such bad acne in my life! Thanks ladies!
492921 tn?1321289896 I had bad acne too but now that I'm in my 7th month, it's starting to calm down. I used a gentle cleanser like cetaphil and a sulfur based mask that dries the pimples out. My doc also prescribed Clindoxyl for me which has helped a lot! I also use mineral make up since regular make up can further irritate the skin.
Avatar n tn sounds like an adult version of acne known as acne rosacea- google it or check google images - it is completely different to the teenage form of acne vulgaris
Avatar f tn Wash your face every night and day. If you use make you make sure to take it,all out after you are home from any event if you think you are not going out any more. When I wash my face I use cetaphil and then I put on some moisturizer. Check if your make up is oil free, use make up that's oil free. That's all thanks to the change in our hormones. I have been dealing with hirmonal acne for more than a year even before I was pregnant so I know what you are going through.
Avatar m tn The doctor told me to continue using Benzoyl Peroxide and the rest of his recommendations everyday if I want to keep my face from acne breakouts. And then the real deal walks in the drama, my face started to look so aged, dull, and oily. I'm only 21 but my appearance looks like I'm already in my 30's. My face is literally shiny and glistening with acne scars that made it hideously terrible. It makes feel like I have mutated to a horrifying monster.
Avatar f tn You can go to your local pharmacy and look around at all of the topical, over the counter acne medications. Pick one of those and see how that works for you. Also make sure to keep your hands off your face, don't pick at or pop any pimples, and drink plenty of water.
Avatar f tn i have really bad acne and i buy OTC creams all the time Clearasil, Clean Clear, Neutrogena, Oxy, zap zit, and others that i cant remember i have even tried proactive and these acne creams that i have used i get a rash all over my face on the first day i use them my face starts to itch then by the third day my face starts turning red and swollen can someone help me is there something i can buy to use for acne that wont make my face itchy and red
Avatar m tn I used less of it than the size of a pea, reason being because I only have acne on my forehead (maybe because of my hair?) and on my nose (also the area around my nose). It immediately dried my face, it didn't peel or get red though. I'll have to buy the 5%, and I'll quit using the 10%. Until then, I will be washing my face with a neutrogena soap I've been washing my face with for years.
Avatar f tn How I have addressed it when my kids get a patch is by making sure to keep the area moisturized. I used fragrance free lotions, as the fragrance tends to irritate it further. You also may consider tracking what you are eating and see if you have a 'flare' up when you eat certain foods. That said, it's possible the patches you are seeing are just dry skin too- if it's winter in the area of the world you live in- it's been an unusually dry winter for most areas.
Avatar m tn That is the truth! Keep searching, (keep praying), keep experimenting until you too are free from boils, rashes, acne and HS! My daughter now follows the AIP (Autoimmune Protocol - Paleo) diet. She did elimination diet slowly, from February to June. I will list in order what she eliminated. ALL of these foods triggered either boils or rashes!
