Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, I have been trying these for months and months but it doesn’t help me anymore. I am talking about six pack abs that I am trying to get. I joined a gym for this and the trainer told me that I would get them…but NOOOO!! That did not help me and later on I have tried a few tips that I have been suggested by my friends but that also was of no use (the whole thing helped the abs a little…but not as I wanted).

I have not lost any weight at all so far and I am wondering as to why this is. I go to the gym every day. I usuallywalk about 2 miles (sometimes I will run for just a few minutes, it is more walking) and then I will use weight machines (abs, arms, and legs). I am just wondering if this has happened to anyone else or if anyone knows why this could be??
Avatar m tn So I don't know if I am being hyper-paranoid or something, but it seems to me like I have an oddly distended and large lower abdomen, despite having little-to-no belly fat (I even have a six pack... sort of). It can look "normal" if I suck it in really hard, but it always droops right back down if I stop. I also tend to feel like my abdomen is "full" after eating very little (i.e., it feels stretched out).

Avatar m tn Suggest he do some reading,researching or speak to a trainer (you could offer to pay for him to go to one session with a trainer to get a routine worked out that is safe and effective) - - - and then butt out. Kids do all sorts of weird things - he won't hurt himself as long as he is healthy. You can lead a horse to water....

1000124 tn?1250030183 I would try to cool the are down by put ice and a little water in a plastic bag and wrap with a clean sorf towl, or just simplely use a ice pack. But you need to keep area as clean as possible. It worked for me.

As a mum with 2 very young children it's hard for me to get out of the house and go to the gym! Is there any exercises u could think of for me to do at home during the day?

My grandpa, who's under 60, also goes to the gym, so does my grandma (when shes up to it cus she hates goin in with all the skinny people) and my aunt (my grandmas sister). We're all part of the same gym, not the same location. Well... Yeah it's great to go with my gramps, but I need something else...
Avatar f tn Set your goals, start with what you like doing in the gym, stay hydrated throughout the day, keep a diary or logbook and note down your day to day attendance in the gym, give yourself rewards at the weekend in the form of snacks, make friends and a group in the gym to join you in all these activities. This will surely help.

Avatar n tn I have been exercising (weight lifting, aerobics, etc) in a gym off and on for 9 years with a pacemaker and have never had a real problem. I do notice that trying to stretch my left arm across my body feels like it squishes the pacemaker a bit, but if i move my arm down a few inches it feels fine.

What you really need is motivation. I know cause the "i don't have time, due to work" used to be my excuse. But for a month now, i work out six days a week at 8 o' clock when i return home from work and twice day at weekends that i have more time.
316994 tn?1259003438 My favorite thing to bring to the hospital is my pillow and a funky pillow case. You love having the extra pillow and the pillow case can get ruined so dont bring your good one. Another nice thing to bring is socks. they usually give you a pair, but it is nice having a long pair if you want to cover more of your legs. Plus I get the crazy striped ones! Oh! And a really girly smelling soap for the shower and a nice shampoo. It is really nice to get clean afterwards.

1549665 tn?1295354988 So Long story short I had a beer one day, I was pissed off about some family stuff and I bought a single beer (pretty as simple as that)...that behaviour continued for close to a year, Always being careful not to finish a six pack in a evening or more than a 1/2 bottle of wine. Now back in the day I was pretty much a heavy binge drinker. But now while in the middle of a subtle relapse I missed a important point....A point I should have remembered.
