I drink lots of beer a night, usually 4 to 5 large stella artois cans and occasionally I share a bottle of wine with my girlfriend. Often in the morning my urine is dark in colour and I know I'm dehydrated. I don't always have stinging though, this tends to come and go. However at the moment it does sting after I pee, not badly but it's there afterwards. I've been avoiding coffee too because that seemed to make it worse.

I am trying to find out what is a good amount of iodine to take on a daily basis and is there a prefered brand or mixture?

So I was put on modified bed rest and sent home. I didn't go into labor and my blood pressure was still high a week later so we scheduled another induction for Sunday morning.

Thanks Why are the adrenals overlooked so much in the medical community? Yet we hear over and over that over 80% of people suffer from some sort of adrenal fatigue. If the TSH level of .47 is correct, then that is not typical of hypothyroidism; however TSH is a pituitary hormone that does not correlate well at all with hypo symptoms. I agree with Stella that you need to go for antibody testing and especially free T3. Free T3 is the most important thyroid hormone because it is four times as potent as free T4 and largely regulates metabolism and other body functions. It also has the best correlation with hypo symptoms.
