Common Questions and Answers about How much does oxycontin cost on the street

oxycontin

Avatar n tn wow, who's your doctor Rush Limbaugh? Just kidding. So on the one hand 640 mg's a day, the equivelant of 8 oc 80's daily, is a high dosage, though I have heard of higher. On the other hand, 25 days is not a long time. You can and definetly should try to get off. I dont think its a bad idea to talk to your dosctor about how fast you tore through the script. After all, you didnt perscribe yourself.
Avatar f tn Does the blue pill of oxycontin cause physical abuse by the one who is taking the pill?
Avatar m tn If your living in Cebu , the cost will probably be much less than the states ... probably half or less than the cost of the "average" US cost ..... the $200,000 quoted by nygirl is not even close to the average cost .... It will be much less then the U.S. like all medical treatments in the Philippines.... I think the "help" of the "patient assistance programs" by Roche ... is not likely to happen in a developing nation ...
Avatar n tn Depending on income there are free spay/neuter programs. I'd call your local shelter for information. Otherwise it costs between $50 to $200. Just keep in mind, you get what you pay for. Be sure a cheaper vet is reliable and competent.
200957 tn?1236136923 With IVF they have you produce the eggs. They retrieve the eggs. Then they put the eggs together with the eggs and then depending on your eggs they will transfer the embryos between 3-5 days. So IVF is more invasive than an IUI. My husband and I can't do IUI because he has the male factor and I have PCOS where I don't ovulate at all so we had pretty much zero chance of getting pregnant on our own.
197575 tn?1215532624 My insurance probably won't cover thyrogen shots for my year scan and thyroglobulin test. Does anyone know how much 3 shots would cost me??? I don't look forward to going off my meds for several weeks since it took me 7-8 months to finally feel good after my tt. I was on 8 different synthroid doses until we got it right. I'm on 250mcg. I would rather pay for them then be miserable.
Avatar f tn The ones covered by insurance we don't see the price they send it straight to the ins. company.
216239 tn?1233257361 I also live in Toronto Canada and I have paid $6,000 at one clinic and at my new clinic TCART on Bloor street the fee is $5,600 this is without meds just the IVF procedure. Meds can run anywhere from $5,500 and on depending on how much you need. My insurance covered my meds for IVF number 1 and I only have enough money left for 1 more IVF then I'm on my own.
725248 tn?1316162245 Are you thinking about switching to Methadone due to the cost of the Oxycontin? If that is the case there are other long acting meds that are much better than Methadone. I have heard so many horror stories of others, and one of my own, that I would never take it again unless it was the last med on Earth for pain. What other meds have you tried? I also noticed you were taking 90mg. of Morphine after your surgery. Why does the doctor have you at such a low dose of Oxycontin?
Avatar m tn I know its not a question, It just kinda hit me how bad the problem really is. And where the heck are all these street pills coming from? I know when i had my oxys, I wouldnt give one away to even my mother if she was in pain, I HAD to have my little inventory, I kept a very close eye on my oxys, I knew exactly what i had at all times and they wernt going any where but in me. Im blown away by how much street pills there are out there.
Avatar f tn Everything is relative-- but yes, that is a large dose. Consider that Percocet tablets-- medications used to treat surgical pain in dose ranges of 1-2 every 4 hours-- contain 5-10 mg of oxycodone. You are taking the equivalent of 70 of the 5 mg tabs every day, when the dose after major surgery would be on the order of 5-10 tablets per day. The largest dose I've seen in a patient addicted to oxycodone is about 700 mg per day.
Avatar n tn It is great that you stopped the insanity, stopped the addiction. Now you can work on what led you to use to begin with. I have been on it since aug 08 and it literally saved my life. But do not forget, suboxone is not a magic pill, your body will become dependent on it. You will go through withdraw symptoms when you stop. I know many people personally who have stopped successfully by doing a slow taper. Use this time to work on you.
1831849 tn?1383228392 They are billing my insurance company over $3K monthly, which is much higher than the monthly cost I had heard others discuss on the forum. My copay would normally be $250, but I somehow qualified for a financial assistance program in which Shared Solutions will cover all of my copay except for $35/month. I have no idea what I did to qualify, since there was no application. It's all quite strange.
Avatar m tn 1) Does it cost money in canada to meet with a counsellor? (don't really want to go to the meetings) Kind of looking for a step by step program type thing to keep me clean? 2)Can you keep it anonymous and not release your name?
1170366 tn?1263919479 has neone experienced what I have been experiencing I started suboxone tuesday and i feel more messed up on it then i did when i was on lortabs i cant sit down without nodding off im so tired and fuzzy headed
Avatar n tn oh i hope your ex is doing better. its so hard when you're stuck like that. you may have done the best thing for her. i am going through it now with my guy. he is in detox for the 7th time in the 5 years we've been together as i type this. last summer he was in icu because of complete kidney shut down. alcohol and oxys.... i have a terminal disease and have these pills at home. i have found myself locking them up so he does not take them, but his "best friend" sells the ****.
Avatar f tn Hey Yall, As most of you know I just started Subutex, I have been doing a lot of thinking about how expensive the doctor visit and the meds are and I'm not sure that I can afford it. The doc visit is $ 150.00 and I pay $ 540.00 for 60 8mg pills . That's what I will have to pay every month. I was just wondering if there was anyway I could go about trying to find a doctor that is not sooo expensive and is it possible for me to switch from one sub doctor to a cheaper one ?
Avatar n tn I have been using narcotic painkillers off and on since about 12th grade. (I am now 22). I was clean from Feb 2005- August 2006. In the past 6 months I have been taking about 5-6 10mg percocets everyday. Within the past month I have been either doing that or snorting ATLEAST 1 80mg oxycontin a day. My friends finally found out about my "double life" and this gave me a strong incentive to quit. I havent touched any opiates in about 48 hours...
681206 tn?1226556625 For someone with Hepatitis C that has the money for the treatment how much would it cost in a round about way?
Avatar f tn I spend every Thursday at the Cancer Hospital having medicine pumped into a port in my chest. But if you saw me on the street you would have no idea. We pass by people everyday living their own medical stories. No there are no generic drugs for MS. I used to worry about medical cost until I got cancer. My treatments are so expensive they make MS seem reasonable. I stopped worrying about it its my life I am paying for. When you get a diagnoses it will be alot better. Not knowing is hard.
Avatar f tn When Purdue Pharma reformulated the pill and renamed it Oxycontin OP, that extended the patent on Oxycontin. Purdue Pharma won the lawsuit and all the generic manufacturers that were producing Oxycontin had to exit the market. A similar scenario happened with Opana ER. Endo Pharmaceuticals reformulated Opana ER so that it couldn't be crushed and snorted. When they did that, it extended their patent for at least another 10 years.
