Common Questions and Answers about How much does abilify cost with insurance

Avatar f tn I was floored when I found out how much abilify cost..$500.00!! ~ I have insurance,so it was only $20.00...that is scary! What if you lost your insurance, and it was really working for you??? My gson is on the smallest dose now. We just started getting help for my gson,so the doctor is really not sure if he is more than severe depression. The bad thing was for me,was when I went through menopause,I could not take anything.I went from being layed back,to a witch.....glad that is behind me.
Avatar f tn I really wish I had been diagnosed earlier in life, I feel I have wasted so much of my youth with major depression or dangerous manic states. I broke up with a bf of 6 years last Spring for the way he had been treating me and emotionally distancing himself within the last few months of our relationship and I had been having a hard time getting over it-- he presumably has bipolar disorder as well, but refuses to get diagnosed or get treatment.
612551 tn?1450025775 As said our medical/prescription cost is covered by insurance with the usual deductible and once that is met, it now is with this one renewal, the major portion of the cost is paid by my insurance. I don't like high prices regardless of who/how it is paid: insurance, local or federal government, whoever/whatever. Still I wondered about Medicare Pard D, I think it is, for those who are over 65 and need insurance for this type of prescription cost.
Avatar f tn I have a low stress job now, and I don't know how I managed to stay in banking / real estate for 20 years with BP.
721450 tn?1238557362 And I get the feeling your parents don't really know much about these kinds of things and how it makes you feel when they threaten you with going to the hospital. But even so I'm not happy with how they handled your panic attack today, It doesn't sound like they wer every comforting at all. Is there anything you can do about getting your keys back. Even of you don't want to go anywhere I know how it feels to not be able to if you want to. To have the freedom to do something if you want to.
Avatar f tn I brought it with me hoping I wouldn't need it. I forgot how much pain I get into running around up here. I work in a very very big corporate building. And I've been off work for a.month due to complications with blood clots under my knee. I had a meeting with my hr manager and basically had my job threaten because of using too much time off. First off I never got adequate time off from the surgery.
497950 tn?1255867527 ) Has anyone tried any medicines that didn't cause weight gain and didn't cost a fortune. I am on Abilify right now but I am very quickly going to have to change because my insurance isn't that great and it cost me $100. I am on Neurontin and Celexa right now which is great but I can still feel myself going up and down all the time. Or even if I have to go back on Zyprexa has anyone NOT gained weight on it? People told me I would gain weigh on Celexa and I haven't.
Avatar f tn Saphris has gotten a lot of good reviews in the weight department, and I believe Latuda has as well, but these are both still brand only, which might affect insurance coverage (and will affect cost). Unfortunately, there's no way to know for sure if a med will cause you problems without trying it first.
Avatar f tn Sounds like this may be the case with your wife and Abilify. It also sounds like she was treated with a number of medications at this point and in a slightly cavalier way. I'm wondering if it is her oncologist that is prescribing this and maybe it would be better to see a physician that focused soley on her mental health for this help?? (not sure what your insurance is covering at this point but worth it if it is covered.
Avatar m tn You never know what meds will do what until you try them. As for the insurance, this is how mine works. If my insurance does not cover the med than I have to get a prior authorization. Dr office sends form to Pharmacy, they get it to your insurance company and the insurance company either approves or denies. The MOST important thing is the dr puts on the form that you have tried other meds that did not work and that is why you need this particular med.
Avatar f tn If so, the answer to your question is that Teva, like all of the CRAB manufacturers, charges as much as it does because it can. It's that simple. They will tell you how expensive it is to research new drugs, most of which never pan out, and they're right. They do need to recoup these costs, and they do need to make a profit or they'd be out of business, and then we'd all suffer. However, and this is a BIG however, the CRAB drugs are huge profit-makers and have been for many years.
865902 tn?1239312521 Your colon is fine and does not deserve to be regularly “cleansed.” Colonics have been around since the early 1900’s (maybe earlier) and the fact that they are still being used is only evidence of the gullibility of humans. 4. Never trust something that claims to “strengthen the immune system.” It is an impossible claim to prove or disprove, and so is made with impunity. 5. Look for the word “supports.
544292 tn?1268886268 The length of time withdrawal symptoms occur can range from a couple of days to weeks depending on how high your dose was and how long you were on the drug. Withdrawal symptoms can be reduced by discontinuing use of the drug slowly (i.e., gradually reducing the daily dose). Tramadol is more complex than other opiate and opiate-like medications because it also appears to have actions on the GABAergic, noradrenergic, and serotonergic systems in the brain.
980052 tn?1262970679 Empathise with the weight control problem. The leaflet does warn of it and of hair loss too, something that I have certainly noticed on me!
Avatar f tn Putting my mom in an institution would have been like jail for her. I appreciate how much you miss your mom, but if things are as we are all led to believe , or want to believe your mom is happy and healthy right now. She's looking down at her wonderful caring daughter who is aging herself. The circle of life is a wonderful thing, and you will both be reunited, and healthy again together. Life challenges us to be at our best for our loved ones when they need us the most.
Avatar f tn Although it does defer a bit with the adderall. And the bipolar mania does fit him to a tee, most of it anyway, after he started the adderall. His old doctor is not affiliated with the place he is at and i was told that they could not understand why he was given the adderall in the first place but that must've been between him and his doctor as he was having trouble finishing projects, concentrating and such.
Avatar f tn full of different medications and how does that effect their brain development. He said that sadly, diagnosing children is much more difficult than adults due to their age and the differences of symptoms. The hardest to deal with is ADD/ADHD symptoms versus bipolar disorder. Unfortunatly children end up as guinea pigs. The reason being is that ADD/ADHD can mimic bipolar symptoms and vise versa. So, the situation you are in is quite normal for you and your son.
Avatar f tn You'll get there and it gets a little better everyday. Are taking vitamins? Don't poo poo that! It DOES get better and you've gotten MUCH better. Big difference from last week when you weren't an addict...LOL! You sound like me with the house,lights,etc...That's what I've been doing for 5 days! Last night my daughter and I strung food for the birds on long, shiny, red ribbons. We haven't done crafts in ages and it was fun!
1376910 tn?1278868323 didn't start showing from my recollection until he was about 7 with lying, fits out of control and then also playing with fire and setting stuff on fire in the house. I sought testing at that point and only found out he was "advanced" in his education and had an attitude that "he knows what he wants". At 7! Anyhow..because I was a single parent, my normal attention to detail of things were passed of mainly that he was "just a boy" or "kid things".
4149717 tn?1389507161 It made my legs feel like lead, so sleepy, so I had to stop. I don't know how it would have worked, side affects were too much. Depression is real, so glad you are getting an option here to do something about it!!
356518 tn?1322267242 I know how hard it is to deal with. I do not have kids but i love them to pieces. I know too much about anxiety with the acute PTSD I've been suffering from for about 15 years. It's not easy to deal with it eh? I too take anxiety meds. I take a little bit of xanax as needed (0,5 mg I say a little bit because in the past I took higher doses) and wellbutrin, effexor and topamax. My pain is not under control and I suffer daily.
Avatar n tn i hae gained about 10pds from effexor- but i was not active either while taking it. I am much more alert with paxil- no naps! I am concerned about weight gain from paxil because ive read alot of post fm others that claim paxil causes weight. Would love to hear some feedback. Thank You......
Avatar n tn I did enjoy it the first 15lbs but now I am too thin and want to stop. However it does not matter what I eat or how much I cannot gain. Ohh well it is the price I am willing to pay to be migriane free, and live again!!! The best thing to do with Topamax is fight through the first 5 to 6 weeks of side effects your body will leval and you will be pleased with the end results. I almost gave up on Topamax and I am so glad that I did not!
Avatar n tn i was basing this on the fact that i had had the two shots in my heels for pain---without knowing how much cortisone i had been given with those injections. i just recently learned that the docs are regulated on how much and how often they can give you those cortisone shots for the very reason that they can shut your adrenals down. i don't think that my orthoped would have given me too much.
Avatar f tn is that still going on ?Im wondering what im up against because this med does help with the headaches so much .thank you and good luck.
Avatar m tn ) In fact, I'll probably start taking it again. Sorry if I hijacked your thread, I just wanted to relate how much I know how you feel. I have only a very slight history of anxiety in my life, and it was only after drinking uncontrollably that it became a problem. You seem to be in the same boat. I see you haven't made a post since May 10th, 2 months ago, so I really would like to hear how you are doing.
Avatar n tn My doctor wants me to start Lexapro but he wants me to wait until Zoloft is completely washed from my system. How many days do I have to put up with this ****? Any answers or advise is much appreciated. You know the medical world tells us that you cant become dependant or addicted to these meds but I tend to dissagree the more I read about people having discontinuation syndrome after following doctors orders on a good weening off process.
