Common Questions and Answers about How long is percocet in your body

percocet

Avatar f tn sounds easy the question is if it is why is it that alot...of people think is so hard??any advise on what to take or do for body aches?????
Avatar n tn I agree, the fatigue and sluggishness are related to w/d. Your body has just been through a cyclone and now is regaining its strength. Hang in there. Try to get your natural endorphins going by doing some exercise every day. I know it's hard w/o energy, but it will do wonders.
994863 tn?1251227076 r u weaning under drs care or on your own? if percocet is wat ur addicted to weaning should be strictly off that to minimize withdrawl.. what r ur other symptoms? do u have a primary doc?
Avatar m tn im well aware of how it works but ive never been on percocet for this long nor has the pain ever been as bad as its been in the last year. ive now been taken percocet for 15 months straight with no break. i was up to 4 - 5/325mg tablets. i am now down by half of that and the first half was no fun. i decided to get down by the 2 pills then had to work for a month now i have time off and wondering if the second part of this will be worse then the first.
386968 tn?1217351972 For example, for oxycodone (percocet) it takes 4 hours for your body to metabolize 1/2 of the drug. for oxycontin it takes your body 12 hours to metabolize 1/2 of the drug. Now multiply that by how many pills you take at what times and you'll find you still have a good amt of drug floating around. In time your body will metabolize more and more until nothing is left. Start the thomas recipe ingredients and amino acit protocl ingredients now. They will help more than you know!
Avatar f tn My question is a simple one. If I go through it again either voluntary or involuntary HOW long can one expect the worst of symptoms to FINALLY subside. The crawling in the skin, vomiting, diarrhea, can't sleep or eat. I've done all kinds of research and have read the warnings and horror stories. I also know that it varies on body type, age, amount and length of abuse. I have also concluded that cold turkey although not suggested or liked will not kill you.
Avatar f tn 00 cash only for writing a monthly script, plus I pay cash for the second script. This is not how I want to live. They are in two different states that don't (so far) check out of state. The second spript is for morphine and is very good to taper with. Now my tolerance may be too high to get pain relief from just the 40mg percocet script. I HAVE to take opiates now to stay out of withdrawals or for pain.
Avatar f tn Thanks for your response. How long have you had this sleeplessness? Over the counter sleeping aids never helped me before I was addicted to Percocet. Hope someone can answer the question for both of us.
Avatar f tn does this possible side effect go away as your body adjusts like most side effects...OR...is this known to continue w/ opana use? also...if you do end up going up on dosage does that start the side effects all over again or once you go thru intial adjustment u could be home free? fyi--i've been on lortab, vicoden, norco and percocet in the past (at seperate times) and lortab-no drowsy or headache vicoden-drowsy norco-indifferent...

Avatar n tn Would be good for your hubby to post himself..to read and learn...that is alot of percocet and he is abusing them by taking them all in 5 days...
1483925 tn?1287895853 Most of the physical symptoms (flu like symptoms) will be over in 4-6 days and then the mental kicks in and there is no telling how long that will last. Check out the thomas recipe on the health pages on the top right of this page to help ease some of your WD's, and most importantly plan on some aftercare....N/A, AA, or some drug and alcohol counseling. Keep in mind that it WILL end, when I was WD'ing knowing that it would end kept me going.
1734102 tn?1310442098 also i recently was on life/support for an infection and namonia a month ago, the doctor asked me how long i bin taken Percocet for, he said i should ask my doc to increase the dosage because after 8 years takeing 3 a day is like takeing 1 to 2 because i'm kinda immune to them, and yes i do feel they still help but not as good, question if i approach my doc on this will he think i'm hooked now, i don't want to get cut off, just manage my pain.
Avatar f tn You definitely need to be upfront with your doctor. Detoxing usually raises your blood pressure quite a bit, so you may need an increase in your blood pressure med for a little bit. If you are really wanting to do this, it is so important to be 100% honest and cut all of your sources for pills. That means changing your playground. You may have to distance yourself from friends who use. You can do this and you are in the right place to get support, encouragement, and info.
Avatar f tn Hello!! I also abused Percocet. You are early in your withdraw...it is going to take some time. The first week is pure hell I'm not going to sugar coat it. You will get through this!!!!!i am on day 19 today and still dealing with issues. After the first 7 days the physical withdraws will subside quite a bit. Stock up on items in the Thomas recipe...they will help!!!! How much and how long were you taking the percs? Stay strong and good luck to you!!
Avatar f tn HI....
Avatar m tn Definitely make SURE you are verbalizing your concerns to the doctor, so he is noting it in your chart. Your doctor can also reaassure you along thre way as well. Best of luck to you..please keep us informed.
Avatar m tn I have terrible back issues and these are the only meds that allow me to go about my day. when someone is on pain meds for that long is it possible to just detox or am i possibly looking at suboxin because i do look forward to the day that im 100% clean free and clear all the way. i dont want this crap in my body anymore and sometimes it gets a bit overwelming for me because im a health nut and try to take good good good care of my body.
558096 tn?1255887002 ve taken Percocet (forever) and OxyContin (6 months) with OxyIR (6 months). Percocet in my body is vastly different than OxyContin and OxyIR. I found they had next to nothing in common. I have serious chronic pain that has lasted since June of 2007 and right now it's cranking me up so bad that I'm really just getting by. Percocet is extremely dangerous because if you are not a strong person you will become it's slave. Percocet will own you.
