percocet

Avatar f tn What are the withdrawals like and how long do they usually last. Is there any sign as to what the worst of it is or what may indicate the end of the withdrawals? I would appreciate any information you have to offer.
Avatar f tn nurseone is right there is no way the percocet came up. the methadone would show up if your on it. but if your on methadone i dont know why you would take percocet, depending on your dose it wouldnt have an analgesic affect.
Avatar f tn ve been taking the fentanyl patches (50 mcg) along with percocet (10mg x5/day), back in Nov I started weaning myself off I cut the fentanyl first, then went from 5 percs a day to 5 vics a day, and have stayed there for the last few months. Well last week I decided to try and quit cold turkey, and right now I'm right around day 7.
Avatar f tn Good deal! It sounds like you have everything ready to go. That's the best thing you can do for yourself right now is to set up a good support system. And you aren't being dramatic. This is a very hard thing to go through. Keep exercising, it will help you to heal more quickly and it also helps with the sleep and anxiety part of detox. Just keep fighting and you will get through this!
Avatar f tn sounds easy the question is if it is why is it that alot...of people think is so hard??any advise on what to take or do for body aches?????
1483925 tn?1287895853 Most of the physical symptoms (flu like symptoms) will be over in 4-6 days and then the mental kicks in and there is no telling how long that will last. Check out the thomas recipe on the health pages on the top right of this page to help ease some of your WD's, and most importantly plan on some aftercare....N/A, AA, or some drug and alcohol counseling. Keep in mind that it WILL end, when I was WD'ing knowing that it would end kept me going.
386968 tn?1217351972 Then the anxiety and desparation set in, followed by the physical symptoms. Just enjoy the time you have right now, and when the w/d symptoms start, be strong and remind yourself that you can get through this. You have made the right choice in quitting! In a few days, you'll be feeling better and then can get on with your life!
Avatar f tn Usually with premature babies they have to stay until they would have been full term so with you now it could be sometime between 4 weeks to 7 weeks depending on how good baby does with breathing and eating and wetting/soiling diapers it could be sooner than 4 weeks or it could be longer than 7 weeks it just depends on how good the baby's immune system is, how well their lungs are developing and how they are eating i had a friend give birth at 24 weeks and her son had to stay until he would
Avatar f tn First of all I'm new here and want to go ahead and thank anyone who responds to me. I'm basically living in pure hell as a monster fentanyl addict. My consumption level has evolved through many years and at this point I'm chewing almost 100 mcg's a day. To make matters worse my wife is also close to my levels. This has caused great loss for us both. I've been forced into withdrawals on a few occasions. I can not express in words the hellish torture I've experienced.
994863 tn?1251227076 Yes it is normal during the withdrawal process. I have to tell you that at this point you are just prolonging the agony. You are so far down now you can just jump off and it will only be a few days before you physically start to feel better. There are otc supplements that you can take to ease the process.
Avatar n tn That is a hard question to answer, because everyone's metabalism is different..i though it was 3 days...But maybe a nurse will come on and help you.. whatever it is, try to stay away from them!
Avatar m tn im well aware of how it works but ive never been on percocet for this long nor has the pain ever been as bad as its been in the last year. ive now been taken percocet for 15 months straight with no break. i was up to 4 - 5/325mg tablets. i am now down by half of that and the first half was no fun. i decided to get down by the 2 pills then had to work for a month now i have time off and wondering if the second part of this will be worse then the first.
Avatar f tn I stopped the Valium at the same time I stopped the Percocet. My goal is to stop everything.
Avatar f tn After the first 7 days the physical withdraws will subside quite a bit. Stock up on items in the Thomas recipe...they will help!!!! How much and how long were you taking the percs? Stay strong and good luck to you!!
Avatar n tn Like extream gravity on my body. My legs are tired and heavy, and the pain that I had before I was taking the Percocet seems to be worse. I'm considering a Pain Control Clinic that's drug free, but my question is - are these fatigue symptoms normal for this amount of time withdrawing?
Avatar f tn re taking percs or vikes- what they CAN do, if they have the time/and or resources is test for the amount of opiates in your system- but they seldom do that. It is normally just a + or a -. Hope that helps. One more thing- The comment that you found to be "rude" was actually a semi sarcastic remark made (rightfully so) on a forum where addicts come to seek support to get CLEAN.
Avatar f tn I was just wondering how long cocaine stays in the system if it's been injected. I would say about 3/4 gram over a period of 6 hours. This occurred 72 hours ago. What's the length of time before it will cleared out of the urine? THANKS!!!
Avatar n tn And then when he gets his perscriptions they are for 30 days at a time- he immediately takes all the percocet (120 of them) with in 4 to 5 days at the most, in addition to the moraphine which he takes sort of how he is supposed to. I just want to know if any one out there could tell me how severe this is or if this is alot.
Avatar f tn After being on Suboxone 8mg/ for about 2 years, my boyfriend and I have to quit cold turkey due to the court system. Maybe it'll be a blessing. What am I up against? We are very supportive of one another and am asking advice and also how symtomatic we will be. One thing in our favor, we're doing this together. We don't drink or take any other drugs. Any suggetstions or advice would be helpful.
Avatar f tn Hello Rerenee, Welcome to our Pain Management Community. I am sorry to read that you are experiencing chronic pain. I see you live in Canada. I don't know a lot about your medical delivery system - or the opiate climate. If you were in the USA I would tell you that your chances are slim at finding a physician that will order opiate meds for you unless you consult a PMP Pain Management Physician). I don't know where your pain is located - or what is your DX (diagnosis).
Avatar m tn I have to have a complete hysterectomy and my MD who does the Suboxone thought I should go off it completely, switch to percocet or what ever in the hospital and then go back to Sub. I have so much less depression with the Suboxone. What else can I do?
Avatar f tn 8 but my doctor will not prescribe medication until that reading is 4. In the meantime I have put on a stone in weight over the last six months and feel like a slug, I can not get up in the morning and count the hours until I can get back in to bed.. I have been taking levothyroxine not prescribed for me because it is better than feeling as I do. Due a blood test soon, how long does it stay in your system? Does anyone know, please?

1550654 tn?1294747554 I know what you mean by feeling like a supermommy..But like ImDone says, it's a false reality. That wasn't you. Who were you before you started taking the pills? Probably not so shabby. Maybe not the super charged super hero of a mom, but still a good normal enough mom, right? That's what you'll be back to eventually. And the irritable and edgy way you feel - that's all part of the process. Your system is in shock right now in a way.
