Well I called the pharmacy hours ago and they said it was okay to take the tramdol but told me to wait until at least noon to do any of my daily activitys. It's now 2:00 pm so it's been 8 hours since my last dose of ambien. I know it was alot but it barely made me drowsy. I will never do it again that's for sure. I'll probably skip taking it tonight and tomorrow. And only stick to taking 5 mg.
I'm thinking that your son is in dire need of detox and rehab. Shooting these drugs up is not good. Try and get him some help.

ambien is what i took for sleep, i didnt want to get hooked on that though so i only used it for like days nights, then i got into sleep pattern again . i still have almost the whole months script sitting here, and the rls, get out for a walk, even before bedtime is good, sounds redundant but the walkin really helps.
This has been tough and I still have the shakes and the biggest problem is sleeping. Any ideas? I cannot believe how dangerous this drug is and it is difficult to believe it is legal. I will be praying for the rest of you. If it is this difficult for me I cannot imagine how it must be for those of you who have been taking mega doses for a long time. How much longer before my muscles feel normal again and I can sleep?
Forty mg. of Ambien is a big dose. Is that's what prescribed for you, or are you just taking it? Please be careful with that. Melatonin can be used for sleep and it's all-natural. Also, Alteril is wonderful. It's also all-natural and has several things in it, including melatonin and Valerian Root and Passion Flower and some others. I like it much better than Ambien. It takes time for sleep to be restored after detoxing off narcotics. In the meantime, try what I mentioned.
The last ENT doctor I went to said that my sympathetic system is out of sync (he called it hyperfuntion overactive) now I have tried searching online and have not found any reference to thick glue like saliva (often really thick and white) and the sympathetic system. Often it is worse in times off stress and every morning when i wake up it seems like it has gone away until my brain kicks into gear.

Unfortunately, my primary physician prescribed Trazadone for sleep so he is of no help. I am just wondering how long would it take for me to get over this insomnia and nervous feeling I get. I asked my new psychiatrist today as to how long does it take for the withdrawal effect to go away and he was very vague something like he did not know probably a week, which is of no help. Should I get another psychiatrist? I wonder.

Keep that in mind. Now the reality. Methadone is most likely the hardest obstacle you have in front of you. Ambien and zanax are no walk in the park either. Did your ambien and zanax also go the cold turkey route? That is probably not the optimum way to approach this. You might very well want something for sleep - insomnia is a major obstacle to quiting. And for your information, suicide is a leading part of benzodiazepine withdrawal - - this is no joke that you are messing around with.
t take that long as Klonopin is one of the easier benzos to w/d from. The fact you had also been on the Ambien may or may not be a factor. I'm not qualified to tell you what the consequences of that combination might be. A quick phone call could answer these questions for you and I suggest it's always better to be safe than sorry.

I mentioned to you that it took me 4 months for Ambien tapering, but I took it slow. The slower you go, the easier it is on your system. If you search the net and on this site for Ambien withdrawal symptoms you'll find all kinds of hits to read. Believe all of it! When I went slow, with each new reduction I'd feel very mild symptoms for a couple of days and then things would quickly get back to normal again.
I was on 1.5 mgs of lorazepam, went down to 1 mg a day and was sleeping fine at first, now I'm having more anxiety and having trouble sleeping. I'ts been about a month. I am tempted to go back up to 1.5 again but i'm trying to remain strong. I'm even having to use some ambien to sleep and i'ts starting not to help. How long will this go on? and will my sleep pattern come back? Is it possible the withdrawls are actually getting worse?
If you want to stop Ambien, do so but there are alternative drugs to Ambien. One of it is Elavil/Endep. It has sedative effects and is non-addictive. Ambien is intended for short-term use. You can discuss this with your doctor and ask for substitute drug as you want to do off with this. Also get a sleep test done to know present status. Do continue taking Omeprazole. Keep updating your thoughts. Take care.
