Avatar n tn even my hubbie, he has never said anything to me about it but when we are getting it on I have to be very carfeul not to let him touch my face.. So enough is enough I am ready for laser hair removal. Does anyone know how much it might cost to have this done and how often do you have to go in for the "treatment"?
3119293 tn?1342054132 First, can someone point to a reliable web site where they list the symptoms? Second, how long I can expect this general lousy feeling last? And last, how long will it take to get back to a feeling where I want to do more than just lay around all day? Thank you all in advance for answering my questions.
Avatar f tn How long does it last if it's not permanent? And how much would it cost to do something like your leg? I've been wanting to do this for a while, but never got up enough courage to go in and just do it.
Avatar f tn I am a 35 year old caucasian woman. I had laser hair removal done with the final session in May 2010. I avoided the sun last summer due to the fact that I was on a topical cream to treat a mild case of perioral dermatitis. I have had significant sun exposure this year, and have developed a clearly defined area of dark pigmentation on my upperlip. It basically looks like a hairless mustache. There is no other blotchiness on my face at all.
Avatar n tn I can't tell from the few, company-sponsored studies available how well this laser will work for acne and how long the results will last. I am therefore not at all sure how to integrate it into my practice, considering that the procedure is not insured. Lasers can do some nice things, but many are oversold. Time will tell where they will ultimately fit. Best. Dr.
162948 tn?1205256292 My question is if that is normal once it has been removed and how long does it last. I had it in for over a year but wanted it removed because my husband and I are planning for another baby. So I have one more question, how long could it take to conceive once it is removed? and is it safe to try the first month that it has been removed?
Avatar f tn Within a few days I was feeling better and all I was told was don't sleep on hard grounds, twist to fast, things to that effect. They said this shot should last around 10 years, then the swelling and or pain may come back. Never did tell me what it was, or what the cause may have been. 1975 married, had my first child in 1976..breech but otherwise ok. Always had trouble with large clots and over bleeding. recommended tx was the pill.
Avatar f tn Most thin areas occur in the peripheral retina that is NOT used for everyday sight and very few people are aware of any blurred spots post laser. 5. As a generalization laser treatment of lattice, holes, thin areas, tears is NOT ultra-serious and carries with no where near the risks of the eye having a retinal detachment.
Avatar n tn You get 1 free appointment after surgery then he can bill for the removal and everything that he does during the extraction of the stent. I think this is a crime due to the fact he didn't even see me after the ct scan. he sent in a assistant i had never met before and she was not very knowledgeble about my case. I am very dissapointed and pissed off at the mishandling my doctor has done with me.
Avatar f tn Thank you for your reply My surgeon has been in practice for over 25 years and considered one of the best. Does it make a difference that he has not removed a Restor Lens before. He has removed other lenses though.
Avatar n tn Complications like radiation proctitis or a rectal fistula? How long should I wait after the laser procedure before we do the seeds and radiation? Can there be complications from the laser procedure like damage to the rectal wall? Any recommendations you have would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn Good Afternoon, I am a 40 year old mother of three and healthy until I had my gallbladder removed (laser) in Dec. 1999. I had some intense pain in my right abdomin and chest area that my doctors said was due to a diseased gallbladder. Although these pains were infrequent, I had the surgery to prevent any further problems. Since then I have had chronic abdominal cramping, burning and diarrhea always 15 to 30 minutes after I eat and many times first thing in the morning.
Avatar f tn So, at that time he did perform a hysteroscopy and laparoscopic laser removal surgery, to my knowledge, but it was so long ago now. He also referred me to a top of the line pain management program which I went to for years. This was around 2004-2005 and I'm not even sure if this group had performed laparoscopic excision at that point in time. Thinking back, though, I do recall either him or another doctor talking about "cutting it out". What he actually did is all so foggy now.
1794638 tn?1345158661 I think this will all be the new non evasive laser surgery , both of my daughter both had it done within the last 4 months , so its not a real biggy, other then letting the problem persist and not doing anything about it.
Avatar m tn Hi I have removed my kidney stones by laser & stent last month, but frequently bleeding is occur and waves pain in stomach and back pain. Kindly let me know if u have know the root cause.
Avatar n tn I went in for epiretinal membrane removal a week ago. It appears that within 24 hours of surgery my lense had become compleatly opaque.(so much so he had to do an ultrasound to check the retina). Now my my doctor is recomending I go in for cateract surgery. I am so afraid of this, I am contemplating living with sight in only one eye. this last week has been very tramatic. I found references to development of cateracts after retina surgery, but within 24 hours?
Avatar m tn Hi, Thanks for writing in. Pain after stent removal can be due to recurrence of stones, stricture in the ureter or inflammation. I would suggest that you get a ultrasound done to check the possibilities. In case of stricture immediate action needs to be taken to prevent scarring. I would suggest that you visit your urologist and discuss the above mentioned possibilities for further advise. Best.
Avatar f tn it took me 11 years to get him to marry me we have now been marred two years ,the doctor did tell there is a treatment for menopause , some laser therapy but insurance does no,t cover it ,off course , which I think really should be , I feel if you can,t be on the hormones for medical reason , they should cover this type of treatment for you , we should no,t have to stuffer like this , it really put much stress , on your heath and life .
Avatar n tn I am 41 with a strong family history of cancer. My mother had breast AND kidney cancer, and I recently lost my father to metastatic colorectal cancer. That being said, after having pain in the area of my left ovary, an ultasound found that I have "something" growing on my left ovary. A repeat ultrasound showed that it is growing, and I was giving the choice to leave it and "watch it" or have it removed. I did have a CA-125 blood test, which was "normal".
Avatar f tn I heard the back of the neck hurts..? how long does it hurt? I'm currently in high school and I have a solo piano recital coming up that's very important to me in about one month. Will after effects stay for that long? thanks so much in advance!! This discussion is related to I have a lump in my thyroid and I am about to have a thyroid biospy, I'm scared.
Avatar f tn My doctor said it was from where the local was injected. I was wondering if you had any swelling and how long it took to go down? Also, how long it took for you to completely heal? I'm going on vacation in two weeks and I'm really hoping to be back to normal by then.
Avatar f tn So what you can ask is this 1) Ask for a copy of your surgery report just for you to keep on file 2) Did he do excision or laser 3) What stage was the disease and what part of the body was effected the most 4) How long does he suggest you to stay on Lupron? 6 months is max before you can get osteoarthritis. Some doctors have their patients on it for years which is dangerous 5) Will you get add back medication when taking the lupron so you dont get the menopausal symptoms?
Avatar f tn Also, the water droplets answer, which is troubling to hear that you are experiencing it as well! How long ago did you have the YAG?

Avatar n tn I am with similar symptoms since GB removal last year in October. I have almost constant sore throat, with some heartburn and severe pain chest. I've read about esophageal spasms which are exacerbated by GERD symptoms. I think I might be having that.
Avatar n tn Not sure if it is safe during pregnancy, but I highly recommend laser hair removal if you can afford it. It hurts while they're doing it, but the results are wonderful. You can have as much or as little off as you like - anywhere. As for right now, I'd just use a razor the morning of your appt.
Avatar f tn I developed severe folliculitis on both legs which was helped a great deal by laser hair removal, unfortunately I still have stripes of sores on both legs which nothing helps.I admit to being a picker. In addition my hair thinned out significantly as well. I'm under significant stress and this skin affliction is making my woes worse. When I was in my 20's I saw a Boston physician named Dr. Winikoff, who successfully treated my compulsive face picking with hypnotherapy.
Avatar f tn The way you have posted makes me think you have a reputable surgeon but I want to check for you as there are only a handful of surgeons world wide for 179 million women that can effectively treat and excise the Endo out with minimal laser as well as getting it off all the organs. Some don't have the skill. You have a 5cm blood file cyst which indicated severe to moderate disease so you want the best of the best to operate please remember this it is crutial.
