5 months does seem like a long time to endure depression. 5 minutes is a long time to endure depression. But in reality, 5 months is barely enough time to find the right medication. You should have tried several by now.
Oh, Effexor is sometimes given for anxiety if I'm not mistaken and also for pain. I'm surprised they haven't tried it yet, unless there is a reason.

I wanted to switch from Zoloft (only have been on it for 3 months 50mg) to Wellbutrin XL 150mg once per day.
Zoloft made me gain weight which made my depression worse. I am not good at taking more than one pill per day and I know with Wellbutrin, and Wellbutrin SR, more than one is required. I would wanted a timed release anyway, with one pill only. My dr, said she looked it up in her book, and Wellbutrin XL 150mg, is only prescribed for SAD and to quit smoking.

VE SUFFERED FROM PANIC DISORDERS FOR A LONG AS I REMEMBER. SO I WENT TO MY PHYCHITRIST AND SHE SUBSCRIBE WELLBUTRIN XL FOR A BOOSTER. PERHAPS TO HELP MY EMOTIONAL EATING AND DEPRESSION. I'VE BEEN ON IT FOR A FEW WEEKS NOW FIRST 150 MGS FOR 7 DAYS THEN 300MGS THAT I'M AT NOW.
Given this fact, it would be very unusual for you to have been feeling better after only a couple days on it.
If you have been taking it for at least 6 months and it still is not helping, then I can say with about 95% accuracy that it will never help you.
Welbutrin doesn't work for everyone. It only effects the reuptake of Doapamine in the brain and nothing else.
I tried to take it only when I needed to concentrate at work and not on days I don´t have to work. He told me it is not good to interrupt intake like that.

t take the 300 today, because I was having problems falling asleep last night because I felt like I was going to pass out. How long will this take to stop, should I stop taking the wellbutrin all together. I just can't take this, I am an otherwise healthy person and these unsatisfying breaths are making me feel horrible.

Many find that adding Wellbutrin in a small dose to their SSRI helps with the weight and sexual problems, but it has to work for that to happen, and to add it to Pristiq, assuming again the Wellbutrin was working, is to double the effects on norepinephrine. Could help some, but maybe too much stimulation for others.
If you have trouble sleeping, remember to take WELLBUTRIN XL in the morning. Do not change your dose or stop taking WELLBUTRIN XL without talking to your doctor.
I've been on Wellbutrin XL 150 mg for about 6 months...I recently started taking once a day SR...to me the SR is less effective...I don't fell anything...it doesnt really feel like it curves my depression. I only tried it to compare the difference...I prefer the 2x a day I feel much better and actually feel it working...thats just my personal experience...however when I talked to my M.D. the switch wasn't harmful I guess its the chemical reaction to ur brain/body...good luck!
About 3 days ago my doctor added wellbutrin 150 mg XL for four days then 300 mg XL after that to help with my depression following the loss of my dad. My question is I only have about 6 days more of the xanax will i be addicted after taking them for that short of a time? I never take them during the day. I am afraid to stop until I see how the 300 mg of wellbutrin in gonna effect my sleep.
I took Abilify and Effexor (seperately) as well, Abilify was the last drug aimed at controling my largely depressive BP. It made me feel blah, less deeply depressed, but it gave me the rare side effect of blurred vision! It was taking a dosage of Effexor which gave me my first flamingly manic episode and caused me to be rediagnosed from severe depression to BP.

Does anyone know how lexapro is? I will be paying almost as much as the wellbutrin xl, which i am willing to do to feel better. Do I have to slowly get off of the celexa and make the switch to wellbutrin or can i just switch the next day?

In the past I've taken wellbutrin for depression but got off of it because I felt that was able to cope with my problems on my own without medication. All in all, if you want to try this for quitting smoking I say go for it! If you want to try Wellbutrin XL for anxiety and depression, I say go another way. Ask for other options. What I have been feeling like for the past week is definitely not worth it. (I am out of work so I have been lucky not having to worry about these "side effects" affecting my work performance.

Switching from a particular medication to another can definitely have some unwanted side effects in my experience, but for me, they tended to go away with time. You were on Paxil for a long time; did your doctor slowly taper you off and switch you to Wellbutrin? Have you discussed this with him/her?
