358486 tn?1294779988 hi, thank u for the info! how long have you had fibromalgia? how severe? does it ever go away? or get any better?
Avatar f tn It discussed the link between pain and foods. It does sound like you could have fibromyalgia but it may be complicated with the cervical issues. If you can try to come up with a list / a way of explaining how you are affected by your pain it would help you figure it out. Start a journal of your daily experience with your pain. Even if it's a few sentences daily. Start with headaches. Begin by describing where the pain originates from. Then describe the headaches. Explain how you don't sleep.

192368 tn?1224207730 I am a full time college student so I do have to push through the pain just to make it across campus. I can honestly say, I don't know what a day w/out pain is like. What is bothersome to me is that the doctor ran a panel on me and said my ANA levels were extremely high and that I had SLE. But, a couple of months later he said the ANA levels were high but it didn't mean anything and that I was depressed. He went as far as putting me on some highly potent drug called Neurotin.

Avatar m tn It's to the point where I am working remote from home pretty much everyday now and resting in between tasks. Does anyone have any suggestions or ideas how long this will last? Anything I can try to help rebuild my immune system and get over this? I have cut out all alcohol, sodas, etc and trying to eat as best as I can with little to no appetite. Thanks in advance!
Avatar n tn I'm on Amitriptyline but it does no good what-so-ever. All it does is make me even more tired all day. Pain management clinic did no good either. I just feel as though this is something I have to live with, almost like a dirty little secret. The pain in my face and jaw is so hard to describe and I don't know where to begin about telling the doctor. Avatar n tn Hey frog1703, Welcome to the forum. Ask your doctor to have your Tartaric Acid levels tested. It is usually very elevated in in most FMS patients that experience significant muscle and joint pain. Elevated PMS pain is often indicative of high Tartaric acid levels as well. Tartaric acid interferes with the Krebs cycle which is your major energy producing cycle and is a muscle toxin. Also, if your doctor is not a LLMD (lyme literate medical doctor) do a search and find one asap!
358486 tn?1294779988 High Noon, thanks for the compassion, I am sure you are the only one qualified to determine which diseases should or should not have enough pain to be allowed into the pain management forum. How arrogant! I hope that High Noon will develop some compassion instead of telling people where they can post or not. High Noon are you a moderator? If so you are very ill informed about Fibro and nerve pain.
956292 tn?1334058469 how long does it last? Beats me! Seems like I'm always going to have one symptom or another, unless someone finally diagnoses me and gives me a cure all wonder-drug. Will they ever go away?
Avatar f tn Lyme again plus a different coinfection. Still dealing with that. So this is a long way of answering your question 'how long can one have Lyme before symptoms appear?' I think the answer is, 'quite a while.' How long is the course of treatment with doxy?
Avatar n tn how long do these withdrawals last if I'm on day 14 and was throwing up today and still feel all those symptons they say happens to you? i stopped cold turkey and i just want to know when all the pain will go away.
Avatar n tn How long you feel bad and how bad you feel will likely depend on your level of use prior to quitting. If you went from your highest use to zero it will be worse and longer than if you tapered down to minimal use. Even if it's bad, you should only feel like pure hell for 3 or 4 days and that's really no more than a bad case of the flu. For me, the worst part was the Restless Leg Syndrome (aka RLS) and the general feeling of wanting to crawl out of your skin.
Avatar n tn I never had any hip injuries prior or since to cause bursitis. Does anyone else have recurrent bursitis with their Fibromyalgia?
Avatar n tn I have had throughout my entire life a bizarre amount of muscle problems and pain. In recent times (last 5-6 months) I have had occasions where my body and skin hurts so much that even my shirt is hurting it. This isn't an everyday, or even every week, event but it has happened probably 5 or 6 time. I have also recently been having terrible night sweats, gained several pounds and have been insanely tired at times.

5586759 tn?1370438872 It is a problem I have had since I extremely young (2-3 years old) Without the medication it isn't a question of how often does it happen, but how often does it NOT happen. Now I have read/heard what you are talking about. That the problems could be because my stomach is not making enough acid. To be honest I have not investigated this further other than reading about it. I am unsure if Dr.
Avatar f tn Ischemia: Cause of Fibromyalgia Pain? Saturday April 18, 2009 Did you know that some fibromyalgia (FMS) pain may be caused by low blood flow to our muscles? The medical name for that is ischemia (ih-SKEE-mee-ah). We've had some limited evidence of ischemia in FMS for a few years, and it's an area that researchers are pursuing.
Avatar f tn I applied in june i think it was but they never recieved the online app so i got my apt with them in august so i guess you could say roughly 8-10 wks. I canceled my apt with the lawyer my doc wanted me to go through so i could get a lawyer that my step mom is using who happens to be the same lawyer that won his first case with my great grandfather and the lady called today and gave me a bull crap reason why he could not take my case. I worked for 3.
Avatar n tn I think it is important to remember that there is nothing wrong with taking pain medication as long as they are needed and justified. Uncontrolled Chronic pain can and will have both negative physiological and psychological effects on the individual. You have to think what is happening on the neurological level of someone that is always at the 10 level of pain. Then there is depression and all the other lovely stuff.

Avatar m tn My doctor gave me diazipam for help but I have had to increase this medication as needed. No more than 5mg at a time but how long does this withdrawal last. Shouldn't I be getting some results? I get some sleep but last night my legs were doing a dance on me I could not control. That was rough but of course I made it through with the help of the diazipam. When will there be light at the end of the tunnel. I know there has got to be and July 12 will be a month off the fentanyl.
