Hello everyone- I too am going through a taper right now. I have fibromyalgia, and have been on hydrocodone 7.5/500 for 8 years. In 2009, I tapered from 4 a day to 2 1/2 a day. I was doing fine on this dose. However, a doctor here just lost his license due to over-prescribing narcotics. So, now all the doctors here refuse to prescribe anything. Result? Leaving me high and dry. Luckily, I had enough left to taper 1/2 a pill a week. I just reached 1/2 pill- this is the 2nd day.

does anyone know how long can secondary fibro last, my rheumy says that my cervical fusion in march of this year has caused all my pain and fatigue due to it being the cause of this secondary fibro. I did have a positive ana but the rheumy says he does not read much into ana tests.

More over i found a higher connection of my pain problem with fibromyalgia and Myofascial Pain Syndrome (which i guess is a part of chronic fatigue syndrome, if i m not wrong)... I also tried to find treatments for these problems and found tht, my pains hv no origin and thy start anytime and go away anytime without any sensible explanation...so i thought may b cognitive behaviour therapy, graded exercise therapy or therapy for nociceptive system might help...

Headaches, nausea, insomnia, joint pain all over my body that aches like i am dying, joint stiffness, depression, sensitive to cold weather and rain, burning sensations in my muscles, foggy memory, dizziness, muscle pain, fatigue and maybe more. I am in constant pain 24/7 and was bed ridden last year for 7 months and could not even walk from the pain.
