Common Questions and Answers about How long does celexa withdrawal symptoms last

celexa

Avatar m tn So, now she is off the butalbital - cold turkey and says the withdrawal is hell. Does anyone know how long the withdrawal lasts? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar m tn First of all, anxiety sufferers should stay away from too much caffeine and from pot, which is often how many people get their first anxiety attacks. So there's that. You're also assuming that taking an amino acid supplement has an immediate and far more significant result than it does -- it usually takes a combination of supplements to affect mood significantly and it also takes time to work, just as antidepressants do.
Avatar n tn i have been on celexa for 2 years and weened off it and i am still having the shock feeling and fatigue and so on how long will this last?
Avatar m tn Has anyone out there experienced this with such a short course of Celexa (Citalapram)? How long will this continue? My Doctor says it will be over soon but I'm not sure he really knows. These drugs are not to be trifled with. They are potentially dangerous. Any thoughts on how much longer I have to endure this? Thanks in advance for any inputs.
Avatar n tn s office and tell them how i feel just so that i could find out how long it will last, but the idiot receptionist said (in response to the electro-shock symptoms) "what? i've never heard of that." and then proceeded to ask me if "i was only experiencing them while walking on carpet..?" !!!!!!! wow. i can't believe the insensitivity and inanity of that question...
Avatar n tn im off celexa now three weeks its hell my head feels like heavy and im spacey at time and tired hopefully it don't last to long does any one know if there is some thing I can take to help the withdrawls less intense something herbal maybe
Avatar m tn Everyone is different, but for me, the withdrawal symptoms lasted about a week, and peaked in intensity about days 3 and 4! It really does depend on how much and how long, to estimate how strong and long your symptoms will be! If you haven't already done so, please check out the Thomas Recipe at the bottom of the page! There are vitamins and supplements that you can take which will help with the withdrawal symptoms! Drink tons of fluids like water and Gatorade to help flush your system!
Avatar n tn how long does it take for all or most of the symptoms to go away? Thank you so much in advance!
Avatar m tn How many pills were you taking a day and for how long? Your WD sound not bad at all. If I could just be tired and have insomnia I would go CT stat! Good for you for getting off meds. your a smart person to do this. Day 3 is worst and after 7 days things should get much better. hang in there.
5509005 tn?1369086312 I honestly think that, for me, the surge of anxiety is mostly withdrawal symptoms. After all, my brain is used to be on Celexa. However, the anxiety is still really uncomfortable. I guess I just want to say that I can relate. Paxiled's advice to go more gradually might be something to look into. Thank you for posting, I take comfort in knowing that someone else is good through something similar to me.
Avatar n tn i have been taking zoloft for about 9 days 50 mg and prior to this i was on celexa i now at night sweat my heart pounds and legs shake and twitch how long does this last and is it normal?
Avatar n tn First, your doctor chose not to safely taper you off the Celexa completely to see how you would do off of it, meaning whether you were going to suffer a bad withdrawal or not, before trying something else. Psychiatrists differ about this, so there's no one way, but my own research shows that the safest way to do this is to complete your withdrawal off of a drug before starting another so you know which effects are withdrawal and which are start-up side effects of the new drug.
955569 tn?1255489680 is this normal, how long does this last by biggest concern is my memory seems shot, life feels like a dream, and i keep getting throbbing/pulsating headaches in the side of my head. i was on 1mg for about 6months after cutting it to .5 i didnt feel to bad, after just cutting from .5 to .25 life is getting horrible, but he assures me this is what i need to do. im currently taking 40mg of celexa as well and i feel like breaking the bottle over his head cause its not doing sh*t obviously.
484508 tn?1290010544 How long have you been on the AD med because as you know it does take time on that one. Plus the Pot and any Substances does so much changes in the Brain Transmitter and such that it does take time to re-adjust back from the removal of drugs and such. Just keep on keeping and it will get better but it does take time. Have Patience and that is the truth.
