From my first contraction (I never felt one before that) to delivering I was in labor for 14 hours. I had 2 contractions in one hour and the next hour my water broke. I was only at the hospital for 12 hours though.

I lost part of my mucus plug about 2am on Christmas morning. There was also a bit of blood in it. Now I have been going to the bathroom probably 3 times a day. So I'm guessing that's my body "cleaning" itself out? The doctor told me I can go into labor as early as the 5th of this month and they won't stop my labor. On the 5th I will be 35 weeks. How long does your body usually "clean" itself before labor starts?

I have no idea if im dilated as we dont check here intill active labor. How long after your waters broke did you have your baby??

how long were you FTM in labor? Everyone tells me the first takes a long time. I live an hour away from the hospital and I don't want to go right away. I want to stay home as long as I can. But all I can think about is my neighbor who had her baby in the car while they were on their way to the hospital.

I was never that dilated needle labor! My cervix was a hundred percent thinned for about a week but I got stuck at a two until they started me on pitocen.

I know every woman and labor is different but im wondering how much longer it'll be until my son decides to make his grand appearance. At 33 weeks exactly I started dropping, ive had to have contractions stopped twice, once at 27 weeks and once at 33+5. Yesterday I noticed my belly had dropped even more as it does daily and I dont think it can drop any farther and I also lost my mucous plug and had my bloody show yesterday around 11.

How long did it take you ladies to dilate? How many weeks were you in the beginning and at the time you were in labor? How dilated were you when you got admitted?

I does vary, with some its hours before labor. For others, weeks before labor. I lost part of my mucus plug yesterday morning (I'm 36weeks) but I've been having BH contractions since 26weeks and regular strong contractions since last Wednesday. Doctor says it could be anytime now so we'll see!
