milk

Avatar f tn If U keep pumping Ur milk will keep coming. But if you just stop the milk still comes in. U will get engorged & the milk will keep coming in. It's painful. I've nursed all 3 of my babies. 1st until 20 months, 2nd until 14 months (I got prego) and now my newborn. But even w my 1st 2 even after 14 months it's still painful to stop. Talk to a lactation specialist-call Ur hospital they can direct U to one or talk to Ur pediatrician for advise.
Avatar f tn Your recommendation of using milk as a colon cleanser could actually cause some people to become very ill. I, for one, tend to get extremely constipated if I drink more than 2-3 glasses of milk/day, so I have to get some of my dairy in the form of yogurt, cheeses, etc. I can very well imagine that you would over eat after a diet like this, because your body will have had nothing to eat for days.
Avatar f tn Nope your baby will come when it wants too. Nothing you can do to make that baby come out earlier. I drink milk & oj all the time & my baby's still in my tummy of course.
Avatar f tn I am not sure to whom you are asking the question!!! You have to address the person you want help from.
492936 tn?1244651570 The most interesting thing to me was about the whole milk. Apparently hormones are in milk. Estrogen is in the fat - testosterone in the skim part. Drinking skim instead of whole gives you more testosterone and we women need estrogen for a healthy pregnancy - that is why you should eat whole milk, regular ice cream etc. Other than the milk part I didn't get much from it.
72351 tn?1281992542 You may also be a little more active during the day which helps with lowering blood sugars. The sugars in the milk are absorbed into the blood stream a little slower than refined sugars which is actually better for your body because it doesn't put that immediate demand on your body to produce insulin. That is the reason they recommend staying away from refined sugars. Your blood sugars sound very good to me, but your doctor is a better source for what your optimal goals should be.
1209036 tn?1299178657 A blood sample will be taken from a vein in your arm about 60 minutes after drinking the solution. The blood test measures how the glucose solution was metabolized (processed by the body). A blood glucose of 140mg/dL will identify 80% of women with gestational diabetes. When that cutoff is lowered to 130mg/dL the yield increases to 90%.
Avatar f tn I breast fed for a year, very little fresh tastes of food for baby and was back to my my pre-pregnant weight in 1 year.
Avatar m tn Afterwards when I showed her the instructions about the fat intake rules I then asked about the diet requirements, I was told that nuts and whole milk were good things to eat. In my case the nuts I ate ripped me apart and caused lots of bleeding and with the whole milk that was my worst nightmare come true.
Avatar f tn banana, french toast, pan cakes, waffles and Mac and Cheese. Drinks milk, pop, water and juice boxes. I think his diet is an issue. We make him try a piece of whatever we are eating when we have him on weekends to try to get him to eat different things but it doesn't work. He just gages and cries over it. He does eat it. Can you please advise if this is healthy and if his family and us should be concerend.
140029 tn?1393298142 ve found a few cereals like puffed rice that seem to work but now taking rice milk/milk totally out of my diet for 3+weeks yeah it's gonna be hard. Plus I have been looking for a fiber supplement since i'm so IBS-C screwed up..so flaxseed is a great idea. I was doing eggs for breakfast but I'll avoid all possible food groups, maybe it's eggs *shrugs* but I missed something..hopefully i'll figure it out. Anyway thank you for that response!
907812 tn?1245739802 You should NOT be taking milk thistle if you are on treatment as it can diminish the effects of the meds. I cannot believe your doctor did not tell you this well known fact - milk thistle is ONLY for when you are not on treatment.
Avatar f tn I am not to familiar with the wieght watchers diet but if it is frozen check how much sodium it has. Most forzen foods are high in sodium. Start looking at the ingredients of what you buy. You will be surprised when you read the ingredients and what amounts of cal., fat, and vitamins they have. Don't just go by the name on the outside of the package. Don't wieght yourself every day. It can be misleading and frustrating to your efforts. People can flexuate 3 to 5 pounds easy per day.
Avatar n tn Some children will accept whole milk if you add chocolate or strawberry flavor mix to it. If that does not work and she likes soy milk, then give her soy milk (has the same amount of calcium as in regular milk). Hoped this helped you.
1026267 tn?1257591273 m not familiar with the low iodine diet, but I eat a non-inflammatory diet which recommends coconut milk. The only downside I know of is, coconut milk is packaged in cans, and most cans these days have been proven to contain/leach biosphenol-a. I have a recipe for coconut milk though, which is easier than almond milk.. (although I do make fresh almond milk every 2-3 days) 1 cup dried unsweetened coconut (Bobs Red Mill is one) 4 cups warm pure water Soak for 15 minutes.
Avatar m tn the general surgeon looked at it about 3-4 weeks ago and said i will need surgery so he set the date and everything but i hope i wont need it if aldara continues to work. the doc was going to remove them by cauterization.
Avatar f tn It might seem extreme to go to that extend to some or maybe to many, but everything you put on your skin and into your mouth has to go through the liver at some point. So I figured I might as well eliminate all the toxins I can from my diet and have dragged the whole family into it. They are actually really enjoying the healthy food. I'm not saying you should become vegetarian :-) I think it's best to make sure that the meat, chicken, fish ...
4530757 tn?1358353386 I agree with the other ladies and the diet and eat healthy, but if you mean cutting out juice and only drinking water, that is a very healthy decision for both you and baby :)
Avatar n tn no i have not really had any big changes to my diet except i have been drinking more milk than i use to. I can hardly eat now with out feeling completly full after a few bites. Then after i do eat this small amount i usually get a stomach ache and take tums. After 30 minutes or so it settles down but my stomach is then rock hard for a while. Just does not make sense. Any advise.
