1218873 tn?1300091216 First thing to note, Unfortunately smoking does affects the amount of duloxetine in your system and blood stream meaning that you will loose between 40 - 50% of the duloxetine dose you take. It is not uncommon for people to have their duloxetine prescription increased if they smoke.
Avatar n tn Is there any way to alleviate the symptoms of duloxetine withdrawal? How long do symptoms usually last, and will they go away on their own?
Avatar m tn The Bupropriun is brilliant, it really DOES help. However, he decided that as the Duloxetine was basically a sugar pill for me, to take me off of it. The incompetant fool, instead of weaning me off gradually over a few weeks, decided to take me off at the click of his fingers.
Avatar f tn I typically need a day or two of Vicodin for that as the Celebrex does not seem to work for that. These have worked for years, but I was recently diagnosed with lymphoma and told that Celebrex is not recommended with the oral chemo medication they want to put me on (Ibruntinib) because of severe bleeding issues. So obviously I am going to have to find an alternative pain med for my osteoarthritis. Tylenol doesn't do a thing. Vicodin doesn't really do much either (not for the knee pain).

Unfortunately it is not uncommon if you miss a dose to be experiencing these problems if your on a high dose, my patients even at a dose of 30mg do experience brain zaps, nausea and vomiting even with just one day missed.
Avatar f tn I think my anxiety attacks are pretty much under control since I take the duloxetine, and I really think with me taking Duloxetine and me completely stopping the vyvanse was why I didn't have a harder time coming off the medication.
Avatar m tn was prescribed Duloxetine 500mg for depression. This seemed to have a good effect on my pains as a bonus. After about 6 to 8 months I decided to stop taking the Duloxetine as I felt happier but as I was weaning myself off, the pains returned with a vengeance. To this day, my doctor has no idea what might be causing all this so I just blunder on from day to day taking the tablets.

Avatar f tn First, duloxetine can make you more anxious. Did it? Cymbalta can work well for depression and pain control, but because it's an intentionally stimulating antidepressant, it can make some people anxious. So if you just started that as well, consider if things got more or less anxious when you went on that drug. The Xanax is best take only as needed, not on a regular basis. If the other two drugs are working, it's hard to see why you'd need to be on a dubious drug like Buspar.
1371498 tn?1365085813 I have tried over active bladder meds, physical therapy, a pessary, etc. The doctor mentioned having a sling put in but I am only 26...how long will it last? Will it even work? Are there any other options? Also, the leakage seems to be worse around and during my menstrual cycle? I had taken Estriol vaginally and it seemed to help. Would a birth control pill work the same? (my husband had a vasectomy so we don't use anything).
Avatar n tn I would not have recommend you to go onto duloxetine, in some, duloxetine can cause kidney and liver problems, drinking alcohol while taking this drug will unfortunately increase that risk and even more so with someone with your condition.
20003388 tn?1515166040 I was recently switched from Paroxetine to Fluoxetine. It was one of the best decisions I have ever made. When on Paroxetine and I was tired ALL the time. I was literally falling asleep at my desk. It was hard to stay awake. I do have obstructive sleep apnea however I use a CPAP every night. According to the readout on the machine I usually stay between 2 and 4 events an hour.
Avatar f tn Hi. Your current medications would not be causing your high BP. It may be that these medications are not the right ones for you. Are you tracking your BP on a home meter? If so then you need to make sure it's working correctly. If it is then insist that your GP see you for a thorough check-up and go from there. Take care...
Avatar f tn My insurance company only pays for generic drugs when available as first option, however Cymbalta does not come in generic form from what I understand because I always buy generics but have never rec'd Cymbalta in generic form.
Avatar f tn I am wondering what would be causing the increased pain? Typically how long after surgery will some of these things resolve if they are going to? I am also wondering if some of this pain in my neck could be due to muscle spasms in the scapula area and if so what can be done to alleviate them. I am very sensitive to meds and the pain meds that they gave in the hospital made me sick to my stomach so I discontinued them about 18 hours after surgery and took only tylenol as needed.
905463 tn?1243526062 I have kids and a hubby. Ok so my dr (general) said that I cant work, I cant have pain meds and no disability. He says Im to young for the meds and disability. I have been on pain meds since i was 12. I cant deal with the pain I have things to do. Could you please tell me why he would take me off the meds and leave me in pain unable to work with no income? Its horrible I wash a load of dishes (cups, forks spoons) and I have to stop and go lay down for hours. Any advice would help me out a lot!!
Avatar m tn Hi, I do know that doctors will sometimes find a combo of things (most often by accident) works best in a patient. A low dose of one and a higher dose of another. With Mirtazapine & duloxetine used together, you have to watch for serotonin syndrome. They are commonly prescribed together though.
Avatar f tn I am taking DULOXETINE 60MG.
Avatar m tn Does anyone know if alpha blockers negate the positive effects of Duloxetine? It seems that if norepinephrine is blocked via the alpha blocker than it would cancel out the effect of the norepinephrine re-uptake and subsequent positive effects of an SNRI.
Avatar m tn t want to go back on duloxetine or effexor , I will not take 5HTP today and see how I go I am going the baths later so exercise might help a liitle.
Avatar f tn They are suppose to strip my membranes how does that work? Does it hurt.
