Avatar f tn Everybody tells that even after upping a dose, you have to wait about 4-6 weeks bit the doctor said that with new med like cipralex you know how you are going to feel after almost two weeks... ????? Is there any experience where people took a med that worked just okay the first time but worked better the second time around? Could that be possible? I just hope it will cause I am a little discourage!

Avatar f tn t shut off for sleep- I did try the trazdone --for two nights -- did nothing for sleep or anything- I had a severe migrainne headache next morning after taking the trazadone. It does not work for me at all- Hope you have better luck with it-- Its horrible to watch the clock all night long and never get to sleep. Good luck in finding some sleep aid that will work for you.
Avatar f tn I feel aweful - very dizzy, confused, heavyness over eyes, bad eyesight, sensitive hearing. Actually many of these symptoms I had before starting Cipralex - my doctor thought Cipralex would help. I also have a history of complicated migraine, I have not taken Sibelium since December 2008. I am wondering if maybe the symptoms I am experiencing are migraine related - and therefore Cipralex is not the answer. Should I be restarted on Sibelium?
574118 tn?1305135284 I just need to save my work now. So within the above premises and the meds i am taking, does this sound logic what the pdoc said. Don't fear of any responsibility on your part because I shall think it over, JUST think with me fast please, WHAT DO U THINK?
Avatar m tn You've JUST started the medication, it does take a while to start noticing improvements. It can take up to 4-6 weeks to really notice changes, although a lot of people report that they can feel some mild improvements after a couple weeks. It's also normal to have some side effects, they will also typically start improving by about week 2. The headache and increase in anxiety are likely side effects, those are two pretty common ones.

Avatar f tn I am taking anti depressants Zyprexa 5mg, Cipralex 20mg & Wellbutrin SR 150mg. When I am busy I am fine as soon as I think of anxiety my anxiety level starts to increase and becomes realy disturbing and uncomfortable. What can I do to control my fear of anxiety?
Avatar f tn hi, i've been on cipralex for 2 years, and the good thing abt it is it is not addictive. you can eventually come off the medication. but be sure not to stop it abruptly. need doctor s advice on how to come off it.
Avatar n tn t expect you to know what that entails but ask your doctor or Google any vitamin or herb you want to take to see how the body processes and clears it. The good news is Cipralex (escitalopram) is a very safe and effective treatment unlike older products. Seroquel (Quetiapine) is a little more sensitive to competing liver challenges via the CYP450-3A4,5. So keep any alcohol intake to a minimum and drink plenty of water just as a benny for your kidneys.
Avatar f tn I've been on cipralex 20mg for about 1.5 yrs, before that was on 40mgs of celexa.. I'm 37, about 190lbs 5'7".. Anyway my question is, my dr prescribed me ability 2.5mgs that I'm scared to start because of all the scary side effects I've read :-(. I guess I should also let u no that I suffer from severe anxiety/ severe depression disorder.
Avatar f tn Namaste, Cipralex is mainly used for treating depression. SSRIs work by preventing serotonin from being reabsorbed back into the nerve cells in the brain. This helps prolong the mood lightening effect of any released serotonin. In this way, Cipralex helps relieve depression, panic and fear. In clinical trials, cipralex has been found to be an effective SSRI in the treatment of depression and also in relieving some of the symptoms of fear and panic.
Avatar f tn Thanks again. But what is cipralex I have never heard of it. The wellbutrin and xanax helps me be able to function, but that is all. Avatar f tn What would be your suggestion for how to switch from the Paxil to cipralex? I know that 20mg Paxil equals about 10mg cipralex. What rate would you decrease + increase? Perhaps you could give me a rough outline of how to make the transition? Thanks so much!

Avatar f tn I'm a 20 year old female, who has recently been put on cipralex for panic attacks and anxiety. About a week ago I came out in a strange red rash on my chest. I have also been experiencing blurring vision and lightheadedness several times a day. Usually when I wake up in the morning I have had quite bad headaches which usually pass within an hour of being awake. I'm worrying whether this could be the medication or something else. Should I go to a doctor or is it anxiety related?
Avatar f tn Yea I'm on 5mg of cipralex... I'm not sure i know most of my anxiety is health related. It only started to get bad around may I'm a 22 yo female.
Avatar f tn I had anxiety and I was on Cipralex 20mg & Zyprexa 5mg I was doing fine. I got a viral infection for which I used leflox 500mg antibiotic 2 times a day. The viral infection got cured but I got anxiety. My doctor has gave me a plan to temper zyprexa as it was giving me brain fog and has added wellburtin SR 150mg. I am asking him to give me some benzodiazepines he does not gives as he says that Cipralex & Wellburtin are enough. He says that give wellburtin 3 weeks to work.
