Avatar f tn The doctor says he proposes to take my mother off CellCept altogether at some point in time and only PanGraaf will be needed for the whole life - in the meantime the doctor may prescribe CellCept in on / off basis.
Avatar f tn Okay hears the deal I was put on prednison when I was 17yrs old along with imuran, now i know the effects of prednison obviouly, it being a steroid there usually are some weight gain and moon face etc as common side effects. Now I'm 19yrs old and they have me on cellcept. I have always been extremely active even to due to my fatigue but I cannot loose a pound, I will work out 24-7 and change my diets often to see if anything changes and...nothing.

Avatar f tn Thanks for the good word on Cellcept. I hope that I have no problems with it and that it does slow the progression of this disease down. Have all the vaccines done. Just waiting for the Cellcept to come in the mail and then I'll start.
Avatar f tn The blood work and the ultra sound will tell you if the liver is in any sort of trouble...Does your insurance pay for the cellcept? I am on that as well and I know it is very expensive, but it is very important!! I hope your husband was very honest w/his Dr. and I'm sure his Dr. knows what to look for...Good Luck!
645800 tn?1466860955 Is the VA prescribing the CellCept? How do their transplant patients get access to a dr. who is on top of their game with this powerful medication?
1100837 tn?1267668675 Even tho we are in the same boat, what might work for one, does not work for another and its all trial and error and alot of patience. Are you any where near retirement? This disease takes alot out of us unless your one of the lucky ones and has a mild case. But there are many factors that can cause us to "Flare" I had to leave work.
Avatar n tn In Sept of last year he started Cellcept for which he has now taken for over a year with little problems physically, it does cause some emotional changes as well as affecting his appetite and sleeping. We have now been told that should the Cellcept not work there is now a new alternative of Prograf. This gives me some hope. The hardest part of this whole battle comes with feeling like everything is such an experiment and that my son is a guinea pig.
Avatar n tn I was wondering if any of you had had the opportunity to have your blood levels of vitamin d tested, and if so how many of you were deficient? I ask because I sort of took myself off the cellcept I was on and only continued with 5 mg of prednisone for almost a year. Of course I progressively felt worse until I went back to my primary and asked for a refferal to a different GI doc.
Avatar n tn I'm a patient with autoimmune hepatitis type II, and my doctor has just perscribed cellcept in an attempt to reduce or stop use of prednizone. It is really important to me to try and have a child, but I'm afraid if I start cellcept that I shouldn't get pregnant. I know cellcept is a class D drug, and discussed my concern with my doctor.
Avatar f tn I see ou wrote this a while back but I am hoping you are still here and will see my question. I am supposed to start taking Cellcept for Lupus and I can't find anyone who can tell me anything about how they did on it. Are you there? Did you have any side effects while on it?
Avatar n tn when you say adding some cellcept might be a good idea, does that include trying to lower my prograf some?
1135761 tn?1260557094 my doctors have reduced my cellcept in half. 1000 mg 2x day to 500 mg 2x day. they said my symptoms are common and reducing the cellcept should help. any comment?
1611319 tn?1378618399 I hate to ask my doctors the question of this taking my life and how soon. I am on prednisone that we are weaning off and Cellcept 3000 mg per day. It was considered in the mild to moderate stages, but the docs are not sure how this should be treated. no studies have been done on this and am kinda in limbo....
Avatar m tn 5mg and tenofovir 300mg) and prograf, cellcept wysolone etc. Two months back entacavir was withdrawn and I am now treated with tenofovir, prograf(6mg), cellcept(1000mg) and Magnesium suppliment. Almost at the same time( 2months back) I suffered from maleria also. Since then SGOT and SGPT are gradually rising from normal level, and they are now 69 and 46 level( normal range is 4) and rose to 3.2 almost one month back but it goes down to 2.3 now. What could be reason?
Avatar f tn I take Cellcept for 2 and a half year. How long will last taking of this medicine because my hair and stomack can't stand it any more?
Avatar m tn Should the transplant team/doctor monitor liver transplant patients taking cellcept post liver transplant over time? Is there a significant threat of cellcept causing lymphoma?
984010 tn?1255796138 Go to www.sjogrensworld.org I learned alot from this website. It also contains forums. Did your docs do any lab work such as ANA or SSA or SSB blood test? What meds did she give you? I have SS,Lupus and Fibo, RA and I have gone through the gaunlet of meds and nothing has worked except pain medication. Right now my doc is tring Cellcept. The jury is still out. But I have been on steroids, Plaquenil, Arava, Methotrexate and now Cellcept.
Avatar m tn Improvement does NOT mean that the drugs need to be stopped. MS drugs are taken whether someone gets better or not. He needs a different, better doctor.
645800 tn?1466860955 Hi Dennis, Welcome back. Has spring sprung in TN yet? The deer here are very active and creating excitement in the area. I had to reread your message - it appears you are saying that the VA doctors are listening to you ? Huh? This is very good news. The 1.5T closed MRI should give them a pretty good look at what is going on if it was done to the MS protocol. Ufrustrated2 had his breakthrough with the VA recently, too.
Avatar m tn How does the doctor who analyzes the biopsy tell the difference between rejection and hcv inflammation? What is the difference under the glass?
Avatar n tn i think the Dr wants to start, cellcept and eliminate diazapam nd steroids....after having such relief finally, after so long.. I am afraid. Also of the side effects of cellcept and having massive pain returned. But which side effects are going to be worse? Preds or cellcept. I will research and let you know,. There are other drugs, but with heart and clogged arteries, i am not a candidate... Hang in there. Advil helps. Tons of it, Percocet if you can find a Dr who will write it,.....
Avatar f tn When that happens, the doctor increases PanGraf / Cellcept dosage and a particular steroid (wysolone). After that the enzymes go back to normal - except GGT which goes down but still remains well above normal (say, falls from 1800 to 300).
