diet

Avatar m tn Eat the healthiest diet you can. Eat fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains and lean protein. Healthy foods help keep you strong, give you more energy and support your immune system. If you're nauseated, try eating small meals throughout the day. Choose foods that are soothing and easy to digest, such as soups, broths or a plain baked potato. A registered dietitian can be especially helpful if you have weight loss or trouble eating.

Avatar m tn I was in Singapore over a year ago working. I ended up drunk and had sex with a sex worker(dumb). I was using protection and in the process I relized the condum rolled off. I stopped ran to the rest room and pissed, try in flush any STD's out. I asked her if she had any STD's and she promised me she was clean. She knew I was freaking out.
3109932 tn?1347067940 if you eat alot of junk and fast food do your prenatal pills give you the nutrition that you need for your baby or still need to try to have a healthy diet regardless so you and your baby can be healthy through out your pregnancy ?
Avatar n tn Maintaining a healthy diet is critical to those with cirrhosis. Cirrhosis hinders the body’s ability to absorb nutrition so in many cases vitamin supplements are required. A healthy diet will aid your liver in recovery and the effectiveness of that recovery since time is crucial. The best diet for someone with cirrhosis is very close to the one you needed before you had cirrhosis.
Avatar f tn Just to clarify, obviously eating a huge amount of calories is a bad idea, I'm more saying there is no set amount of calories that defines a proper diet. The reason is that we differ from one another in how well we digest certain foods, in our metabolism, in all kinds of factors. We all have to find the diet that suits us, not what suits someone else, and as we age, of course, this changes.
Avatar f tn As usual, I will suggest you don't look at the website above -- Atkins has been proven not to work and to not be healthy. There are many better options. And just to be clear, you're not on a no-carb diet -- vegetables and fruits and beans also contain carbs. I assume what you mean is you're not eating simple carbs, or I hope that's what you mean. Being too austere in your diet can be a problem, especially if you're diet is unbalanced.
1403867 tn?1281009744 Pretty much, the normal for all around is 1-2 lbs per week lost, with the occasional 3-5lbs. I know when I first started my diet, I lost 10lbs in 2 weeks and was so happy! But as I went on, I started going about 1-2lbs and some weeks I went down 3lbs. You always have to remember, when you start ANY diet, the first 10lbs are easier because it is all water weight.
2001997 tn?1333888744 So when you are 7 weeks does eating healthy help for your baby to be healthy? I'm so scary to have anything wrong so I have my wife eat alot of fruits and stay away from the bad stuff. What about birth defects? can eating healthy help this too? first time dad worried.....
Avatar f tn My daughter was overweight like that also. She at a very healthy diet. She wasn't a sneak eater. Didn't ask for snacks. I couldn't figure out why she was putting on so much weight. After two years of styes and what turned out to be an autoimmune eye disease related to psoriasis, I started her on a gluten free diet (because my husband had psoriasis and the diet helped him). Her eyes cleared up in two days and we haven't had a problem since then (that was 5 years ago).
Avatar f tn I know how you feel. I was constantly worried about my bubs bein' healthy and If he was okay. I still am, but after seein' him on u/s's and gettin' told everythin' Is fine and he Is one BIG healthy baby, as well as bein' able to feel everythin' he does, It has gone down a bit. As long as you have a good, healthy diet, eating what you need to eat, It shouldn't be a problem, It juss helps with gettin' what you need. But It still Is good to take them.
Avatar m tn Typically, a diet with lots of protein, veggies, healthy fats, low fat dairy, etc will be sufficient to help you lose weight as long as you keep portions in check.
Avatar n tn t escalate. My slide into severe anorexia (and then bulimia) started as an innocent diet, and after a sequence of pretty tough events, I began using it as a form of self-mutilation. Just eat properly sized portions of foods, use one of the online calculators to help you figure out your caloric needs to maintain a healthy weight, and you'll be fine.
Avatar n tn I am very addicted to phentermine (diet pills). How long does withdrawal take? Can I taper? Must I be hospitalized?
501796 tn?1253328394 I had lost a lot weight before I had her. Like 1 1/2 prior. But I used diet pills to help me lose the weight. So I was wondering if since me and my husband are ttc if it would make me unfertitle if I used diet pills again??
Avatar f tn Low fat, low/no salt. Basically if it has some flavor, then you probably shouldn't have it. I practice very lean meats, ie: Chicken, fish, venison, etc., and I grill it on a BBQ which cooks off any fat that may be present. When I set up my plate, I use one with a inside circle on the plate. All of my food goes inside that circle, of about 6-7 inches. My plate is divided into fifths, and 3/5 is vegetables, 1/5 is meat and the other 1/5 is a starch(potatoe, pasta, ect.
Avatar f tn Normally in your age it's really difficult to stay focus and how to avoid food temptations. According to the experts, these are the four leading causes of diet dropout: 1. Choosing the Wrong Diet Diet Success Tip: Diets that work are diets that last. Don't think of your eating plan as a "diet" you can go on and off of. Choose a healthy plan that fits your lifestyle -- one that you can see following for the rest of your life. 2.
Avatar f tn I don't think a diet with less than 1000 calories is healthy. Maybe you should just try eating at least 5 or 6 times a day with small portions and remember to exercise, drink plenty of water and try and lose weight slowly. If you lose it too fast, sometimes you gain it all back and then some. Try eating in moderation; I hate to use the word "diet" cause it makes you feel like you are depriving yourself of something.
Avatar f tn First, what the heck does "bump" mean? And could I please also have a copy of your renal diet. Thanks! I second Lindahand's notion that a renal diet can improve GFR! About six months ago, my GFR was a healthy 93. Then three months later it was 53! After taking Lindahand's advice about following a renal diet, My GFR has come up to 72 (which is still 21 points lower than it was originally). I had to cut out all dairy! No fruit.
Avatar f tn I'm a 20 year old male, 5'5, 175 lbs. I'd guess that I'm about 25 lbs overweight. I'd like to loose around 30 lbs in the next 4 months. I don't like and don't have time to cook and I don't own a microwave, I thought up this diet made of foods that seem pretty healthy, I can tolerate, and I don't have to prepare. I don't know much about dieting and nutrition. I don't do much exercise outside of walking an hour a day and jogging once a week.
Avatar f tn But I would find it quite easier to have a good diet then working out since when the baby IS asleep, I am too. Does anyone have any good diet suggestions that would help me get all the nutrients for baby and help me lose weight? or does anyone know the main foods that I need to give to my baby so I dont deprive her?
Avatar m tn Eat a well balanced healthy diet - fruits/veggies, meats, grains, daily products etc. Try to avoid: deli-meats, raw/undercooked meats/sea foods, caffeine, alcohol, highly processed foods (very sugary or fatty). Most food types are ok in moderation though (except undercooked meats/sea food which you might be food poisoning from ). Take prenatal vitamins.
