I believe you're overthinking it. Greasy hair has nothing to do with patm. I can greasy hair as well if I don't shower in 2 or 3 days. And I used to have dandruff (if you call that film) like crazy way before I developed patm. To have greasy hair and dandruff is normal.

Nizeral, polytar and t gell shampoo are all great for dandruff. You could try nioxin shampoo. You get a 3 part system. Nioxin cleanser , scalp revitaliser ( conditioner) and scalp treatment. It is designed for thinning hair but would help your dandruff aswell. It will unblock blocked follicles to aid hair growth and also make the hair you have look thicker and stronger.

There are many anti dandruff shampoos in the market which you can use. Comb your hair well and massage your scalp well. If dandruff persists consult a skin specialist. This is highly contagious and if someone in your house has it you should not be sharing pillow cases or sheets with them of the scalp. Medicated shampoos and creams are useful in such cases. Eat a healthy diet. You can also take vit B6 and vit A and E which are good for hair and skin. Try medicated shampoos for dandruff. So after 2 years my hair is still falling out, I am 25 yrs old now, there is no family history of hair loss or baldness, all my grandparents, parents and relatives have a full head of hair. Yup for 1st time in my life n secound baby n I got bad dandruff it sux. .n to top it off I cant use anyy kind of dandruff stuff cause it irritates my skin so I dont bother.but im not sure where u are but im in nz n the doc can subscribe this reall good stuuf that ya can also use on ur skin I cant member watvit called but it pink n smells YUCK hence y I still havnt botherd with it haha..

Don't wash your hair more than needed, over washing can dry out your scalp. Try a coconut oil mask and concentrate it at your scalp/ roots then leave it in for 30 minutes or overnight. You can also buy masks from beauty stores as well.

The GP or a chemist could tell u if it is head lice I would think. You would see them crawling around. To me it sounds more like either dandruff or psoriasis.
