yeast-infection

Avatar m tn saw my doctor the following week, took another look and no changes. told me it looks like its still yeast, and can linger sometimes and will go away in time,, said he has seen it last more than a year in some cases. this left me worried, as i couldnt understand how if it is indeed a yeast infection, it should be simple to cure. he advised to use no creams for a while and see how that goes. over the next couple months no changes.
Avatar m tn How have they determined this is yeast? It might not be yeast. What kind of testing have they done so far?
Avatar f tn How do they test for yeast infections? I had an appointment about a week and a half ago and told my midwife I thought I had a uti because I always had to pee but when I went , nothing came out. so she made me pee in a cup. They never called me back so I'm guessing I don't have one. But, now that symptom went away and I'm just really itchy down there! I know that's a sign of yeast infection but do you think she tested my pee for that too when I went last time ???

Avatar f tn I have a vaginal yeast infection that WILL NOT go away. I am not sexually active. And I do not have hiv or diabetes. I have been treated by quite a few gynecologists. And none of them have been able to help me with this problem. I did some research, and asked around, and found out that I needed to go to an infectious disease doctor.
Avatar n tn Its very common to get multiple yeast infections during pregnancy. There isn't really any way of preventing as hormones change constantly. Speak with your doctor to see about preventatives but I've learned they don't help much.
Avatar m tn For one year now I've been having problems with this. Since spring two years ago, I've had coming and going problems with discharge and leaking in between bathroom breaks as well as the need to constantly go-go-go (which you can imagine how embarrassing that is when you're only 21 as I was at the time). I wore pads when it started up to control the leaking and stuff and it came and go.

869578 tn?1239645299 i am currently taking birth control and i keep getting yeast infections. is the birth control the cause of the yeast infections? sometimes there is an itch and my discharge is usually white/clear. lately there has been an odor but i don't know how to deal with it. i have also taken monistat several times and it usually works. should i continue? i have one sex partner and we use condoms every time. could the lubrication of the condoms cause yeast infections too?
Avatar f tn Your hormones are different and your immune system is weakened from pregnancy. I've had 2 thrush infections and treatment hasn't kept it away. Thrush is a oral yeast infection.
Avatar f tn Hi. I'm a 20 year female. for the past month and a half, I have been suffering with a yeast infection that won't go away. it first came about from penecillin antibiotic that I took after my wisdom teeth came out. I have been to 2 doctors that have confirmed yeast infections, and been tested for STD's to make sure and they came back negative. My first doctor prescribed me with a terazole (3 night applicator cream) and when that didn't work prescribed me 1 diflucole pill.
Avatar n tn about three or four fresh applications of peroxide at one go. Made it go away pretty fast. Then stayed very clean (partner too) and kept sugar intake down. Destress with exercise and water also sets the body right. Good luck!
Avatar f tn Its been seven days since I started the treatment and I was wondering how long it takes? do you think I had a bad yeast infection and its taking me longer to feel fine again? Thank you very much for your help!!
Avatar f tn And although some kinds of yeast infections are more common in persons with HIV, vaginal yeast infections are not among them. On the other hand, diabetes is a common factor in persistent vaginal yeast; and certain antibiotics can also do it. But HIV does so rarely. Most important, HIV test results always overrule everything else. Your test results -- especially the combination of negative RNA at 2 weeks and antibody tests at 6 and 12 weeks -- prove you don't have HIV.
Avatar f tn Anyone else have constant yeast infections? I don't know what to do. Doctor keeps telling me monistat 7. Any natural remedies or suggestions?
Avatar n tn You need to go back to your provider and get tested for yeast and bacterial vaginal infections. milky discharge is usually due to bacterial vaginosis ( bv ) and you can' t treat that with otc medications. You have a lot going on down yonder it sounds like so you need to keep following up with your provider on all this.
Avatar f tn The other thing that brings yeast is the bathing soap. How do you bath? do you run water in a bath tub and sit in that water? if that is the case you will sit in that soapy water that soapy water will cause that problem. Sometimes in the bubble bath.
6014380 tn?1378523315 If you are having chronic yeast infections you may want to try some things at home that may be the cause of reoccurring yeast infections. First of all, make sure you are not were clothes that cause yeast infections such as tight fitting clothing such as skinny jeans or tight fitting pants. It's important that your vagina to have adequate air flow bc tight fitting pants can cause the airflow to be low and with the riding of temp to your vaginal area is a breathing ground for yeast infections.
