My health insurance ghi does not cover breast lift or reduction. I am currently a size 42dd and my breast are sagging. I cannot afford the procedure or do not know exactly what I need if its a breast lift or reduction. I suffer from shoulder pains almost everyday am my doctor only prescribe me motrin for the pain. I really need help and cannot afford it. Is there a list or some doctors that can help me for free in nyc?
I had a breast lift w/ lipo 20 months ago- my left breast has been feeling like something is tearing inside and I have a strange, almost achey feeling in the breast and towards my armpit. This breast is larger than the right, but always has been. I also gained apprx 15 lbs since then and am not sure if this has caused these feeling. I am at a point where I don't know if I should be concerned and go back and see the cosmetic surgeon or should I see my family doctor.
I am just on the fence about having surgery because I have small breast and if no cancer is found, I will have scared my body for nothing .... In breast lift, only a small amount of tissue is removed for shaping purpose but in breast reduction, a more significant volume is removed to actually changed the cup size of the breast. To simplify matters, breast reduction surgery is a breast uplift procedure but with a significant changes in breast volume with removal of tissue.
I would like to do a forehead lift surgery. But I haven't heard much about it. Does anyone have any experience?

Due to the usual reasons for sagging skin - aging, chronic dieting and genetics, I am considering a buttocks lift. I am worried that I may be bringing unforeseen medical/health problems into this relatively late stage of my life from what seems a pretty radical surgery which also leaves inch wide scars that run along the backside. How much pain and suffering is there? How long does it take to recover and resume a physically active life - vigorous daily exercise, jogging, sports, dancing, etc.
I am not getting answers to my questions about how this happened? I did not have drains in my breasts however I did in my stomach and that incision site healed fine. Is it because of not having drains? I'm losing confidence in my PS and feeling a great deal of regret about the surgery I chose and the PS to do it. Please tell me your thoughts and recommendations.
You really do need to have a breast surgeon do the surgery if at all possible. The sentinel node biopsy eliminates the need for complete axillary lymph node removal unless cancer is found in the sentinel nodes. The fewer lymph nodes removed, the less the chance of complications such as lymphedema.
A great deal of your decision should be based on the actual tumor, i.e. the size, the type, the grade.
I would opt out of the chemo but go for the double masectomy. I had six months of chemo and don't regret one second of it but in my case chemo reduced reoccurance by 25%. You are right. . they have served their purpose. I am 36 years old and had my left breast removed after finding a 5cm tumor. . .I wanted both off at the time of surgery(3 days after diagnosis) but the surgeon thought I needed more time to think about it.
I had a breast lift with a very small implant put in about 10 years ago, now that I am unexpectedly pregnant Im very concerned about being able to breastfeed successfully! My implants are over the muscle and was done at the crease under the breast. I have two other children 1 of which I had absolutely no problems nursing,however that was before I got the lift!!! The reason they did not give it a 4 is because I had had a breast lift 4 years ago, and they said it probably is just the result of that surgery. Seeing that I have had a CT scan with 4 lesions on my liver as well, I was uncomfortable with that recommendation and asked to have it biopsied now. They told me they could do one cluster easily, the other one would need a surgical biopsy (because of it's location).

I had a partial breast reduction done back in 2009, more like a lift than a reduction. I don't think my surgeon cut off my mammary ducts and I still do have some sensation on my nipples. I'm 23 weeks now and I really want to breastfeed when my baby gets here. I so regret doing that surgery now :( is there anyone out there who had success with breastfeeding after having breast surgery (not breast implants)?
