vicodin

1494729 tn?1304881080 Jeff~ I answered you on the other forum... Basically, get some lab work done to test liver function. It's a routine blood test ordered by your doctor. Your liver may actually be fine. It's pretty resilient and is capable of regenerating. Don't worry. Get some lab work done.
Avatar f tn I have been taking vicodin 7.5/750 for several months and all the tylonel is starting to upset my stomach. Does anyone know the different strengths of vicodin so I can try something different?
1268301 tn?1270348507 I have done my research on the damage that Tylenol can inflict on your Liver. I have been abusing Percocet and Vicodin for the better part of two years. I have NEVER gone over the 4,000 mg. limit in 24 hours. I think I may have went a bit over a couple of times but it was only by like a couple of hours. I also have not been eating right, and I have been smoking a lot of Tobacco during my addiction which I know can add to the danger of Liver damage.
1019316 tn?1262615059 t but one thing I can tell you is if you continue to abuse the vikes you will definitly have problems with your liver. Is this your first time abusing vikes?
Avatar f tn Hello! I'm praying someone in here can help me. I've been on Vicodin for 4 years now due to chronic migraines. Lately, I've been taking 4-6 daily (2 every 4 hrs about). I had an infed gallbladder before and tonight it's killing me. I'm dizzy, extremely nauseas and have chest pains. I have severe anxiety too, so the chest pains are nothing new.
Avatar m tn hi, thanks for all the positive feedback. Is your liver disease from Vics?
Avatar m tn I think everything HepC or related is highly individualistic by the nature of the disease. Most ppl can take vicodin, oxycontin etc. I can't and I haven't even tried for years b/c I know if I do, for one thing I will get hooked to the gills and besides it makes me nauseas. I'm not talking about dope sick, I'm talking about liver sick.
Avatar f tn just like anything you take you build a tolerance for it yes it can still cause all the bad stuff but for people that started out low dose and gradually went to a higher dose then the body can deal with it better sut still is not safe tyl or ibprofen is bad for the system
Avatar f tn While discussing vicodin with my brother he was trying to tell me that his variety of drug which is lortab does not hurt your liver. Is this true? I think it's just his way of justifying his using this drug. Yes that has to be it since everybody knows that tylenol harms your liver. So,I want to know if anyone out there has done an intervention and how it turned out in the long run. I fear the worst here and I know I'm not the only one in the family that feels this way.
1233941 tn?1267735211 s why many addicts, say they wish they would have never started on methadone or long term sub for vicodin addiction. The exception is, when someone is taking so many pills and has tried and failed a few times before to quit. These treatments (long term sub & methadone), should be reserved for the most desperate cases with multiple treatment failure.
620048 tn?1358018235 So my question is why is it so dangerous to use them at the same time aside from the liver damage? Also, how mush tylenol is too much tylenol? An allowable amount each day?
Avatar f tn If so I would ask the doctor to go back to the vicodin. Also, there are different strengths of Vicodin, is it possible you were on a stronger strength?
Avatar n tn everyone is different with opiate wd's but you can mainly expected to feel run down, tired, maybe a little sick, no appetite or very little, an intense craving for vicodin, which is probably the worse of the wd's. There is a reciepe for opiate wd, maybe you should read up on it. Its the thomas reciepe and it was very useful and ease's some of the pain associated with wd's. I hope you do good and cold turkey and keep us posted on how you feel.
Avatar f tn s you can buy at the gas station and obviously worse on your liver. The acetametaphine is bad for the liver, which is the ingrediant in tylenol fortunatly it takes a whole lot to damage the liver. It can take a lot of abuse and still function just fine.
Avatar m tn A more important indicator of how your liver is doing is a liver biopsy to see if you have fibrosis and, if so, how much fibrosis you have. The treatment is no longer 24 months long and the odds are now higher than 40%. There are new treatments out now, the triple medication treatment. It consists of Interferon, Ribavirin, and a protease inhibitor ... either Teleprevir or Boceprevir. The shortest time a person would be on treatment is 24 weeks.
Avatar f tn great to hear your liver is ok. glad i can relate to someone. i think i will now ask for a lver test. thaks for letting me relax a little!
Avatar f tn thanks for your support! what is weird is that I have not taken the benzo's for 3 days now, like I posted I took 1mg at most per day for a couple of months. It is the vicodin I am scared of most because I have been taking them for years...and the 750's have the least amount of acetominiphin (spelling?) But now after 3 days of only taking one it seems not so bad, except being depressed about my daughters heroin addiction and trouble with the law.
Avatar m tn Everything you're doing is seriously bad for your liver BUT that Tylenol and alcohol combo is DEADLY. Believe me. You need to stop the Vicodin NOW and address an alcohol detox. It's the only way to help your liver right now. After you do that, you could go to GNC and pick up some holistic drugs that support the liver, if you want. The best thing for your liver, though,is to stop feeding it toxins. What is your nutritional status? You don't weigh very much...
Avatar f tn Be careful of all that Tylenol. They are taking Hydrocodone off the market all together and replacing it with a long acting med called ZoHydro. it is Vicodin without the tylenol 500 mg of tylenol is way way too much for your liver to handle. I am on Roxy's which is oxycodone 30 mg no aspirin they do fine and for the long acting i am using Morphine Sulphate.
Avatar m tn I don't think that the tylenol in your vics is going to affect your liver at that dosage. At least no more than the alcohol will.If you want you could ask your doc for a liver profile and they take blood and test the enzymes.I really doubt that you have anything to worry about.
