12796163 tn?1436135189 On this very website says is not recomended to take aleve and tylenol, i wouldnt take any drug that is unnecessary girls, ambien has so many side affect it can be bad for baby, u are almost due why not just sacrifice a little sleep for these last days of pregnancy, wish you good luck
Avatar n tn While I applaud your desire to be chemical free, going cold turkey from a benzo is a very bad idea. Even tho your dose was small, you were on it for quite awhile and I would advise speaking to your doctor or a pharmacist about doing a taper. It shouldn't take that long as Klonopin is one of the easier benzos to w/d from. The fact you had also been on the Ambien may or may not be a factor. I'm not qualified to tell you what the consequences of that combination might be.
Avatar f tn Well I called the pharmacy hours ago and they said it was okay to take the tramdol but told me to wait until at least noon to do any of my daily activitys. It's now 2:00 pm so it's been 8 hours since my last dose of ambien. I know it was alot but it barely made me drowsy. I will never do it again that's for sure. I'll probably skip taking it tonight and tomorrow. And only stick to taking 5 mg.
Avatar m tn Something that you should also not be feeling is numb, and I think the medication responsible for this is probably the Lamictal, possibly the ambien. Switching to Klonopin, in my oppinion, is a good idea, as for one, it is less addictive, and for another, it is longer acting, unlike Ativan which is a short acting drug.
Avatar f tn I have flexural, ambien, and diazepam. Will these help or is there anything else that will? Thank you very much. Your input is apprechiatted. I know I have a problem and I am getting help after detox.
410221 tn?1227631837 Avoid musical clocks, very bright and blinking lights, and very tight clothing or bedding. Ambien is good choice for treatment of insomnia, but it is intended for short-term use. Elavil/Endep can be tried if not comfortable with Ambien and it is non-addictive. If still you don’t feel any improvement consult a sleep specialist and get sleep test done to know present status. Do take Omeprazole to counter gastric irritation. Keep updating your thoughts. Take care.
Avatar f tn Oh ok I think I will do that tonight because for the past week since I'm getting bigger and I feel so much heavier and I get especially so much more uncomfortable trying to sleep good. Thanks :) would a pillow on the back help too?
Avatar f tn I'm not sure how long you've been using ambien. I used it for 9 months while on pain management with vicodin. I'm now off of both, but much to my surprise, the vicodin was much easier than the ambien for me to kick. I kicked vicodin cold turkey in February and started an ambien taper mid-march. I just finished with the ambien taper. Ambien can't be stopped suddenly; depending on for how long and how much ambien you've used.
Avatar n tn So I have bad insomnia I can't fall asleep at all I haven't slept in two days I'm so tired and grumpy my doctor took me off ambien which was working great I wasn't even on it for long and she put me on an anti depressant but I dnt trust it and know I don't know what to do I want my ambien back because it was working well for my insomnia but dosent look like that's going to happen so at this point what can I do ?
Avatar m tn There is nothing in your post that tells me you life-style, sleeping-style. There are guidelines I'll not try to remember to total here on the best life practices that lead to good sleep. However, if there is some problem like sleep apnea, or emotional/chemical problems special devices or prescription medication may be in order.
Avatar f tn Congrats on 7 days!!! That is fantastic!! And I know, the loss of sleep is awful, all I can tell you is that it will return eventually - seems to be different for everyone as far as when, but it will go back to normal. Don't have any real experience with the ambien though, but I'm sure other members here do and they'll offer their knowledge with that. But I really just wanted to congratulate you!!!
Avatar m tn I used to use the Ambien CR and that did a much better job of that, however, my insurance no longer covers the CR and since there is no generic for that one, it is cost prohibitive for me, so I stick with the "regular" Ambien. Have you talked to your doctor about trying a sleep aid? It's not uncommon for fibro patients to need them - insomnia is a HUGE part of fibro/cfs.
1001199 tn?1288135453 I'm way over-creative. I've made a lot of art but I lose concentration or motivation while I'm making it. The only recurring theme of my dreams is negative feelings. Not any single feeling, but usually a bunch of them all in one dream. The dreams really aren't scary, just the feelings in them. For as long as I've been dreaming I've had these bad dreams. I think it's just how I am.
Avatar f tn I was wondering if taking Amibien for insomnia is a bad idea. I'm on day 18 of no Xanax, and while right now I'm in a "window of normality" I haven't been able to sleep well at all, I'm only getting a couple hours of sleep at night, and night time seems terrifying. I get up several times at night and keep imagining a demon in my living room, with my small son in the house I'm worried at some point I am just going to run through the front door screaming.
Avatar n tn The sleep aide Rozerem is safe and effective and works to adjust the sleep cycle and has no potential of addiction. If that is a problem for you you might want to ask your psychiatrist about that. Always tell your psychiatrist the exact truth but if you have physical withdrawal symptoms they need to know as those are always of concern.
Avatar m tn ve come off so many times I lost count.....for me each time is different depending on several factors...the things you are doing should be helping....good diet and exercise.....keep up the good fight and I am praying for serenity and less stress in your life....peace bro...... pilamaye kola....
Avatar n tn Before giving it up or starting on other new sleep drugs, it is always better to consult a doctor. I said you earlier also, Ambien is meant for short-term use. It is better to address the aggravating factors or those factors really causing the sleep disturbance, which may be beneficial in long run rather then continuing a drug for months or years. You can also try without medication of getting rid of sleeplessness.
356054 tn?1218552475 ve been so busy the last couple of day I havent been able to keep up with everybody. How are you? Have you quit the taper. Are you detoxing now? What is your status. I know you have been working so hard on this and i'm just checking to make sure your ok.
501205 tn?1227345442 You have to take it and go directly to bed. It will give you amnesia if you try and stay awake on it. It works well for me, but you have to take it as directed.
Avatar m tn Hi There, You have come off of an array of meds, I so commend you for that. Ambien is a very contravorsial drug. Very effective, but wicked side effects. I'll give you some peace in my experience with this med as far as w/d. It was NOTHING like w/d from pain pills or a benzo. Three nights of no sleep is what I would get, then sleep would return normal. Google it and look for more reviews, but I have been on and off for many years and never suffered typical w/d from it.
Avatar f tn no i havent slept without it in years and if i try i get terrible head aches and i feel very weird the next day. I am really wondering how bad this is, because it is such a low dose. Im going to ask the dr tomorrow....I have researched and studied about ambien in pregnancy and there are no studies that it harms a baby at this low of a dose.
Avatar m tn So you hate all drugs.. meaning you are searching for an alternative method for helping you sleep? Trazadone is in the drug class of antidepressants, and it is very rarely used in that of sleep aids. Becuase you are suffering from withdrawls, finding a natural means of sleeping may be very challenging.
995271 tn?1463924259 I also use Xanax when necessary but I find that it does help to take them away but after the Xanax is out of my system they come back 2 times as bad. I try to only use the Xanax for a bad attack. It has been so bad for me the past few weeks, something like 10 to 15 a minute for days. Finally, I went to the Dr again and started taking a very low dose of Lexapro (5mg) and also a very low does of Metoprolol Succinate (12.5) Has really made a difference in only about 3 weeks.
492921 tn?1321289896 I took 3mg of melatonin last night and it took me 2.5 hours to fall asleep. I only slept 3.5 hours and was awake for another 4 before going back to sleep for another 3 hours. I'm going to try two pills tonight which would be 6mg.
