At that point I would have put horse hockey in my mouth if someone had told me it would stop the abscess
pain. I (finally) got out the garlic, cut a slice, wrapped it in
a bit of gauze and put it in
my mouth - yes, it burned incredibly, agonizingly, but it was nothing compared to the abscess. After 45 minutes the pain stopped. Period. The nasty taste was still there, I'm sure my breath was awful, but who cares?
