hormone

Avatar f tn Is it ok to have sex when you got out off a hospital for hormone imbalance about 8 day and they put you on birth control or do you wait
Avatar n tn estrogen cream but I have tried bioidentical progestrone cream before and this brought on bleeding again just after 3 days of use. I also experienced giddiness with it use. I am very sensitive to any medication and was on the lowest possibly dose of progestrone that time. The concern I have again is could using estrogen cream bring on bleeding. My gynaecologist said that if I have further bleeding (after none for over 7 months now) she will have to do another hysteroscopy.
1936698 tn?1333915193 At 31 weeks your hormone levels are not being looked at anymore. By hormone levels I think you mean HCG. In early pregnancy if a Dr. is trying to tell if you are pregnant or if they are unsure if you are having a miscarriage or not they will look at your HCG levels. These levels should double every 48-72 hours, if they do not it is usually a bad sign. After they can see baby on the Ultrasound and get a strong Heartbeat they will stop taking these HCG levels.
Avatar n tn So that you do not feel bad that this advancement in BC cancer was not available in time for use with your mother, let me also point that it is only inidicated for with people with one tumor and no spread to the lymph nodes, so your mother would not have been a candidate for this type of treatment in any case. Rest assured that your mother is being given the best treatment for her type, stage, and grade of BC. Best wishes to you both...
441462 tn?1207951214 Vitex (claims to) balance hormone levels. If you don't have hormone problems I wouldn't recommend it, especially because I have read reviews where women with regular cycles had problems like anovulation and irregular mensturation after taking vitex. Even if you do have hormone problems, the best thing to do would be to go to an OB/Gyn or RE and get the tests done so your specific problem could be treated.
973741 tn?1342342773 I think pretty much every woman will get to a place at some point where they wonder if they should try hormone replacement therapy. Mixed information about it. Do you use it and what for? Worries about using it? Let's tlk about it.
Avatar m tn Thanks ginger! I'm not trying to fix anything tho, I'm just trying to support his overall health. Low testosterone is directly related to prostate cancer in us old guys. Its has many physiological benefits. I know from personal experience. Natural testosterone cream reduced my blood sugar, triglyceride and cholesterol levels to a normal range. My depression lifted and my enegry levels increased. When testosterone is converted to DHT and estrogen it can be problematic.
Avatar f tn adrenal need? How much and how often to take supplements? What are the Sx and Sx of too much supplementation? [Also I take thyroid supplement .175 and growth hormone .
Avatar n tn Im reading a lot of advice against the use of hormone replacement therapy, but the studies I have researched report that its the combination of progesterone and estrogen that is bad for you, and that estrogen alone may actually decrease the risk of breast cancer. My question then is has anybody else read any studies similar?
8367118 tn?1442605420 I have had both of these the first time I did the one with the hormones but it was to big for my body so my body rejected it so we did the non hormone one which is smaller I had it in for just under 3 years and got pregnant with it in. However it is very rare to get pregnant with them in. I would do the non hormonal one. I know several people that have had these and all the ones that had the problems were the ones with the harmonal one.
Avatar f tn After being off the pill for about 1 1/2 years my periods have been heavy to the point I have to wear two thick pads and change them every two hours. At the start of all this I discovered I had a polyp in my uterus and I had that removed, hoping it would be the answer to the frustrating periods. It did not cease the heavy flows and that followed with more tests. I had a progesterone and estrogen test done on day 12 and on day 21. On these days my progesterone and estrogen did not spike.
773755 tn?1328119777 It has some form of Magnesium in it also. Works for all muscle aches and cramps. I use it when really sore but no all the time - it says 'safe pain relief' on the little plastic container but still...... Well your an Auzzie........In the US Walmart sells this product and other drug stores. I'm sure its on the net somewhere.
Avatar f tn A lot of what you are dealing with also sounds like you have a lack in the nutrition department. Try taking vitamin D3 (unless you are out in the sun for at least an hour every day) and also iron. When you take iron, take it with vitamin C to help with absorbtion, and a daily fiber gummy so the iron doesn't give you constipation. It's pretty mild on your body to improve your vitamin intake, so you could do it at the same time as your system is shaking off the effects of the Implanon.
Avatar f tn t find anything on that topic though. What does this mean for my body in general as far as mood/health is concerned and how is my infertility directly related? Been TTC for 3 years...I'm wondering how long my body has been hormonally imbalanced.
Avatar f tn So if I was still getting my period, I could take birth control pills (which have a lot more estrogen in them than the estrogen replacement) in addition to what my body would be making and this is safe?!?! Has anyone asked their doctor about this or has anyone heard of any studies being done on young surgical menopause people? This is so confusing and scares me. When I wasn't on enough estrogen, life was miserable. I was 35 and yet I felt like I was 86!!
Avatar m tn Unfortunately it is true that replacement therapy can cause infertility, so one way around it is to stimulate directly the testicles (I think they use prolactine for this). As for the insurance, I live in Europe so the cost of the treatment is covered.
Avatar f tn Ovarian ablation can be accomplished by ovarian irradiation, surgery, or use of gonadotropin hormone-releasing hormone (GnRH) and leutenizing hormone-releasing hormone (LHRH) agonists. This can decrease the risk of breast cancer recurrence and mortality. The reason why your cancer is inoperable is probably because of the extent of disease. You mentioned that you have several spots in the neck and lungs. It would be impossible to remove all involved tissues.
2121656 tn?1395674749 Your symptoms are a result of not having enough (or too much if hyper) hormone at the cellular level. And your cells ONLY use the Free T3 hormone. Therefore anyone can use just two brain cells and determine why it is therefore so important to test for the Free T3 hormone. Yet many Dr's and the medical industry as a whole apparently has not come to this same common sense conclusion!

Avatar f tn Hi, I'm definitely going thru perimenopause and even though I'm on Bio Identical Hormone Therapy, I still suffer every month. It seems like nothing ever just goes smoothly. I also have panic attacks. I also think I suffer from mild depression. Even though my panic attacks have subsided greatly in the past few month. (I have been on the hormone therapy for a year now.) I still feel uptight, edgy, moody, no interest in sex, the list goes on and on - all the time.
Avatar n tn Stress will not raise or lower your blood glucose reading when fasting. If that was your blood glucose when fasting it is slightly elevated. I have severe ptsd and still deal with extreme abuse. It does not change my blood glucose. What stress can affect is insulin resistance, high levels of cortisol from constant stress won't cause it but it can make it worse. If you were insulin resistant for some time it may be what lead to diabetes.
Avatar f tn Have you heard of Vagifem? It's a non-systemic hormone that is just used vaginally, not a pill, or a systemic estrogen. For years after having a complete hysterectomy, I was on a gel, Estragel or something like that, where you rubbed the gel on your arm. I was told it was safer than an oral estrogen or shots or patches because it didn't have to pass as much drugs through the liver.
Avatar f tn On September 29, 2009 I had a complete hystorectomy with a 10lb adnexal mass removed at MD Anderson. An intestinal type cancer of low malignant potential was found. I am waiting to be sceduled for an MRI & Colonoscopy. After my surgery I was prescribed Effexor for my mood swings and hot flashes. The doctor has continued to increase the dosage up to the highest = 150 mg per day. All it has done for me is turn me into a zombie.
Avatar n tn The only way a positive will show is if the pregnancy hormone is present in your body. That being said, it maybe could happen if you did the test wrong and it gave wonky results lol so I'd test again just to be sure.
Avatar f tn i think that 5 means pregnant but its early so just wait and see what the 2nd test says anytime your level are low they will retest in a few days to see if its risen in that time it could mean your not as far along as you think you are so try not to worry
