Thank you for the help. I just came from a follow-up. The range from the lab is .450 to 4.50. After being on 25 mcg synthroid for 6 weeks my TSH was at 3.6. When I asked her if I should see an endocrinologist she said I didn't need to, the TSH was coming down and was within the normal range. Not as low as she would like but within the range. From everything I have read here this is not the way to treat this. I live in rural SW Virginia.

I was diagnosed at age 49 in May, 2007 with Stage II, 3 nodes positive. I had 4 rounds of A/C and 4 rounds of Taxol followed by 33 rounds of radiation. I am HER2 negative. I was told my cancer was caught very early and I should be OK.

If i did not take the effexor, I could not stand the head roar. A neurologist for kingsport, tn. prescribed originally prozac for pain, and stated often used for pain. I like him, he did a spinal tap, it was clear. I really think this is ms, i did have leisons on my brain which one neurologist stated could be benign ms. Please comment. Thankyou.

Im reading a lot of advice against the use of hormone replacement therapy, but the studies I have researched report that its the combination of progesterone and estrogen that is bad for you, and that estrogen alone may actually decrease the risk of breast cancer. My question then is has anybody else read any studies similar?

I have been on bioidentical hormone therapy for several years: estrogel 0.06% 2 pumps once daily and prometrium 200 mg. daily. My main symptoms for seeking treatment were severe hot flashes, night sweats and insomnia. These symptoms have subsided since being on hormone replacement therapy. I do not have access to individual dosage evaluation and preparation of these hormones. I know that it is best to take the lowest dosage that gives me relief of my symptoms to decrease my risks of cancer.

Just wanted to say that my TN pain had been helped by a physical therapist several years ago. After 3 months of treatment I was pain free. Now the TN is back and this time I'm seeing an upper cervical chiropractor (NUCCA) and have been improving so far. My TN seems to be directly related with muscle spasms in my neck and shoulder. My MRIs showed no cause of the pain (no MS or tumor, etc), and an NSAID does diminish my pain, which is unlike TN.

They check your hormones and then depending how your test comes out they insert some pellets into your hip. I'm looking into doing it.
